Agreed, Amazon really screwed this up! I brought this up to with Amazon support via their online chat and they immediately refunded the total amount and told me to keep the item. I glued all the torn and broken tabs and edges, and then added my own aging to the repaired areas and thankfully it actually doesn't look too bad. Not ideal but at least all the discs are correct and all the sleeves were included.
A whole couple sections of my box was missing so I returned mine, but wish I tried the Amazon support to get the deal you got. Would've still been disappointed, but heck, free is always a good deal!
Where did you find a place to talk to someone on amazon? I keep getting directed to return the whole thing for something completely different if equal value or get a refund. I just want a box replacement since mine was damaged.
This right here is one reason why I don't order expensive things online. I always go to the store to make sure I know what I'm getting and the condition it's in when I lay down that amount of money. Even when I went to BestBuy to get my copy of Ghostbusters Afterlife the other day, I looked it over just to make sure the case wasn't cracked or anything. That is a sweet collectors edition box set right there though.
The thing is though, when they are limited edition you have to get that order in as soon as possible, because more often than not, they are sold out by the time of the sell date.
I'm lucky that Amazon had sold out when I decided to order mine bc I went to Wal-Mart and it arrived right on the day of release and they made sure that it was packed in a box with air bags to cushion it from damage while in transit.

It came in a box bigger than it with no bubble wrap or air bags so it slid around but at least the box protected it. Sorry to see this happen to good GB fans like yourself.
I've had bad experiences with Best Buy too. I bought the LotR trilogy steelbook set and the entire one side of the tin was smashed in. I returned it and was able to get a replacement

It’s not Amazon’s fault. They send majority of dvd and box sets in mailer bags. The issue is Sony using cheap cardboard $150 for this set is ridiculous over priced! Even at the $99 is over priced!
I can’t stand when they rush pack shit. I’ve had too many things come f’d up. They did ship mine in a slightly stiffer bag, and luckily it didn’t get damaged. Sorry dude, I feel your pain.

They haven't even shipped mine, they have no shipping date for me, and they sent me an email asking me if I was still interested receiving it and if they don't hear from me by March 3rd they'll cancel my order. I've never had this happen with Amazon. If I was you I'd contact Amazon and get at least a partial refund. My Batman 66 series set came damaged, the gave me a full refund and told me to keep it
My Amazon order came in a bag too. The bag was torn and taped up. No lie. I just knew my collection was damaged. I read the reviews on Amazon and seen videos like yours -- a lot of people had the same issues. Luckily, my collection was not damaged.
Mine came the same way and got ripped in the same place. Thankfully that's the only issue as some people were missing the slip for Afterlife, some were missing the digital codes and some people even got a duplicate Ghostbusters 1 4K instead of Ghostbusters 2.

I also received my Ghostbusters ultimate collection from Amazon in the same exact packaging shipping and condition as you did and I complained to them through their chat and was able to get about 45% off from what I paid for it. My slips were slightly bent also as was the cardboard from the special features case. It’s ridiculous a 100+ USD order would be shipped like this. I also ordered The Godfather collection from them since no one is matching the price and I am going to have to do this all again. Amazon is the cheapest and doesn’t even pay taxes… beyond ridiculous! We Americans are being screwed while the get to go and remake mining towns which will have the same result’s.

You also have the same internal damage that I have. Couple nasty creases above the cases and the rip in the back wall corner. My mind was blown because mine shipped from bestbuy canada in a box, packed well with zero outer damage but the inside got messed up. Also missing the slip cover for my copy of afterlife. I've contacted sony so I'll see what happens. Sucks we cant just go make an in store exchange.

Mine was perfect from walmart, all disc correct, all slip covers etc, mine was shipped in a box with two bubble bags on top and two bubble bags on bottom, really sorry amazon did that to you
How is it worth that much? You can get the movie's at Walmart for like $10 $100 for a cardboard box with green LEDs? Seriously!? What justifies the extra cost?
It was $149 at first. Then other retailers brought it down to $99. So Amazon gave a discount. The disc are 4K and most 4K disc sell for around $20-27. You get 4 in this collection and the download codes. Also included is a making of booklet. I know it sounds crazy but us fans don’t mind getting multiple copies for a new collectors edition.
Man, I wish mine was as good as yours as mine came in even worse with the whole section and the panel next to it completely ripped off of mine when I received it. I was wondering if it was supposed to be exposed in that area at first as there was no missing pieces in the shipper box and it had the shrink wrap on it, but nope, it was just damaged from the factory it seems! So bummed I can't even exchange it for a replacement, so I'm just returning it as it's too much of an eye sore for me to have in the collection this way. :(

This reminds of another order I placed with Amazon and it arrived in a big bubble mailer which was weird bc It was just a 4 disc 4k/Blu-ray set I ordered. Well I open the set up to find that the disc holders and all the discs were missing. So when I went to go return it for a replacement they wouldn't let me exchange it for the same item instead they wanted me to pick different versions of it that weren't 4k or something completely different. That would be understandable if the item was out of stock, but it wasn't it was still up on Amazon being sold and shipped by them. I had no other choice, but to just return it for a full refund. I don't like ordering from Wal-mart bc sometimes I get damaged sets especially if it's an older release, but at least they will replace it for me or refund it and let me keep it sometimes bc of the inconvenience. Amazon use to be great when it came to their replacement policy, but Wal-Mart is doing much better in that department as of now.

Amazon sent my two copies in a nicely packed box. Shocked to see so many others got the reverse treatment.

Contact Amazon anyways and see if they can give you some kind of partial refund.

Call amazon and issue a complaint, they might give you a discount of even a refund and keep it since the item is so rare.
After watching these reviews, I’m glad I bought it from Target. It was $50 less, too.
