  • Here's how you can build up to one leg squats! They're also called pistol squats.
    Here are the progressions:
Regular Bodyweight Squats: 2 Sets of 50
Narrow Squats: 2 Sets of 25
Side-Staggered Squats: 2 Sets of 20 (Both Sides)
Staggered Squats: 2 Sets of 20 (Both Sides)
Assisted One-Leg Squats: 2 Sets of 9 (Both Sides)
One-Leg Chair Squats: 2 Sets of 9 (Both Sides)
    One-Leg Squats!
I hope this can help you! Please let me know if you have any questions.

I was debating between "ONE LEG SQUATS: Tutorial" and "You CAN do one leg squats, my friend!"
Leaving it as this for now, haha.
"Start with something you can do and work your way up" is pretty much the theme of every exercise video on this channel. The rest is just details, haha.

I think I said this before, but what's so great about you is how you always talk about building up to the goal! Perfect timing, I've gotten bigger and stronger through lockdown, now working on getting lean, cut out sugar etc
Planned to work up to a 1 leg squats for years, I'm 6ft 13stone 10 right now, and have very strong legs, just need to get the balance nailed :D

I found you yesterday. Think I've watched most of your videos since then. I haven't worked out in a few years, but did some dips last night. I'm planning on doing a few push ups and squats today. Who knows my friend!

Pistol Squats are one of my proudest moments next to pull ups ha. I havent done them in forever and now I cant even go down 1/10 before I feel pain 😅… My goal before end of 2024… get back to accomplishing 1 pistol squat per leg!! Thanks for tips!

I been doing primarily unilateral leg exercises for years now because they're better on my knees. Then I tried a pistol squat one day out the blue and was able to do them no problem, first try. I did it so easy I surprised myself. Now its a regular part of my Leg day, I can do 5 reps holding a 53lbs kettlebell now

Thank you!! I’ve been following the Convict Conditioning formula, and I’ll level with you, the whole “using a basketball” thing for variations just wasn’t working, probably because the ball kept slipping 😅 these are great! I can’t wait to try em :)

Your almost overwhelming positivity is infectious. That, plus the variations on calisthenics you give makes me feel like I can achieve some fitness goals :) can't wait to be able to do a pull up or push-ups again :D
