I've been following this project for so many years and seeing it getting better and better makes me pretty happy. I hope in the future this type of device will get cheaper for the average person to buy!
same. follow this since years and hopefully in the next 5 years i have the money to buy it and VR too. This both together will be my first VR experience in my own house and not just a test. :) i'm looking forward to it.
It's been interesting to see you all keep this project up. I remember I had a pre-order back in the day for like 700 bucks. This was way way wayyyy back in like... 2015 or maybe it was 2016. Cancelled after a while but it's cool to see things are still happening.
I got things to take care of in the offline world for a while, but I keep hovering over that pre order button. Always thinking how cool it would be to walk around in Resonite or Skyrim, and if I happen to get in shape doing that. So be it.
@VirtuixOmni for a few hours, then they'll never use it again. I just hope enough people buy it to allow more development of this kind of hardware. VR has petered off because of this and it disheartens me.
Actually, we are seeing users hop on multiple times per week. They are really enjoying it, even with the limited amount of games. But that is growing each week! Also, we want to keep users engaged, and will be holding contest, community nights, and maybe even achievements connected to these.
@@Emogeta this plattform will make my usual pc experience on a couch obsolet. With such a plattform, i will just play on it and nothing else anymore. Only thing is, its to expensive for me atm but in the next 5 years, i will buy it. 🙂
Just a thought. Is there a way to make this thing look like an ancient magic portal? Or some wooden panels, similar looking to the Kem studio S1 or those wooden rowing machines? Anyway. Great work, it is looking better and better.
@VirtuixOmni I know right? I literally showed it to my partner and mentioned that we need a house with a spared bedroom just for VR. She like the idea. 😂
This is cool, I think yall are just missing a single killer app. you need a game so good and with so much longevity that I feel like Im going to get my money's worth for 1,000s of hours of use. Right now that problem seems to be VRs greatest hurdle, double so for something this expensive
I mean VRChat has pretty much been the "killer" app for a while now. The player base has been growing and now has 50,000 people playing it. With millions of worlds and tons of events. VKet, Furality, ShaderFest, etc. Tons of things to explore, walk around and see. Mini-games, shooter arenas, Gun Ranges, Puzzle Worlds, Horror Worlds, or even calm exploration worlds, and tons of Party/Cubbing Worlds...and most importantly lots of friends to make! Been playing it since 2019 and would love a VR Treadmill to walk around with to increase the immersion.

It supports up to 6'4". They have a competitor that can support up to 6'7", but has a smaller base. For your height, you'd probably be better of going the DIY route. You can use vive trackers and Natural Locomotion for the software.
Sure. It might not be the most Feng Shui though. If you don't, Omni One is designed for easy disassembly and comes with wheels for convenient mobility.
It is compatible with other headsets, but currently, it is not available for individual sale. Using our store right out of the box guarantees the easiest and most optimized gaming experience!
You already have a special pipe available that magnetically attaches your controllers to it, and it feels like a rifle. You can even add force feed back to the bumper for extra realism
Yes! We have an app that lets you walk all over like around the Statue of Liberty or Niagra Falls. If you pay extra we will come and spray you with a water bottle for 100% immersion! 😂
sorry but these treadmills are a gimmick because you cannot strafe or move slowly in all directions naturally, we need something similar to that Disney platform
Unlike a treadmill with a motorized belt, there’s no need to change the speed setting. Also, you don’t have the delay that comes from waiting for a motor to respond to your movement. So, you can switch from walking to running easily!
@@ExploreVR alternatively, the movement should not be done using a treadmill, but from sensors on the legs, but a sliding platform is a cheap way, but it does not fit walking, it is not natural.
It doesn't have to be a walking / running simulator. Its a game controller. You get used to the sliding and just move around without thinking about it anymore than you do driving or using a joystick. That said, running in it feels like running on a very flat, kinda icy surface. Took me about an hour to get used to.
I'm Fat, home treadmills and running outside by myself is boring, I'll be lucky to get 5 min in, I lift weights, but leg day is non-existent. But Price. Decisions, decisions, decisions.
Absolutely! We are consistently shipping units on a weekly basis, while also hosting community nights every week. There's even more in store for the future!
Actually, the Omni One brings much more to the table than just a longer arm! It features a larger base for enhanced stability, crucial for dynamic and immersive VR experiences. Unlike other models, it has a single arm design that supports a greater range of motion, allowing you to move more freely and naturally in your virtual environments. Plus, it comes with a specifically optimized VR headset, ensuring seamless integration and peak performance right out of the box. Designed for easy assembly and equipped with wheels, it's also incredibly user-friendly whether you're setting up or storing away. So, while it might seem similar at a glance, the Omni One is engineered for a superior VR journey!
