Carpet racing tip I like. If you're running pins on the front like the old proline pyramids, cutting off the nibs on the outer part of the tire will make the car a lot more forgiving and smooth while cornering.
My B4.6 kit (from USA) came with 0 steering plates. I changed them to +1, as seen on a lot of set up sheets here. +1 plates added mechanical expo, and I had to turn the end points up quite a bit. The increased EPA gives more resolution, not sure if that matters. Anyway thanks for the vid, I’m gonna do a comparison now between the plates and check the outer tire.
6:26 how? with the blue spacers or the hinge pin insert? if the spacers than lower than the position you already have on that car, meaning move that 1mm spacer and stack it on top with with 2mm spacer? you said hub, even though the arrow is over the steering knuckle) so i assume insert since the other thing is a steering knuckle.
how do we do when the car got so much steering we get scared to turn the steering wheel for example on damp astro or lower traction condition where the car spins out if its turned slight bit to much? (get the car slight more understeer and better grip at the rear)
I really mis 12th scale carpet (I had the 12e, 12i, 12l, 12lw), on a good carpet track we were doing 600+ turns in 480 sec race, 3 Q's and a main for 32 minutes of racing, then 10th came out and reduced it to 12 minutes.
This isn’t how to get “more steering”, as in tighter turning radius, as the title implies. This is “how to improve or otherwise change the way your car handles”. While these tips are all good, none of them actually serve to “increase steering”.

for speed cornering a front aero for more downforce is good. it would also add slight weight on the front for low speed better cornering
On the cut staggers do you glue both sides? Doing so do you have to trim off the normal thread that gets glued or roll it in

6:50 kit setup has a 1mm spacer under the camber link with the hub in the lower position. so are you saying to just take the spacer out?

turn your dual rate down to limit the amount of steering?

when you use -1mm shorter steering plates do you change the length of the track rod/toe links by +1mm?

really its neither of those. its increasing turning. turning implies movement, steering doesnt.
