Hi Kseniya, great channel and I love your videos! For Part 6, Question 7 you list the current individual income as $80,000, well above the poverty line. Is it necessary to fill out Part 5 Question 8 for the spouse beneficiary's income? And then 20 or 21? Thanks!

I have a question, if I haven't done my taxes for 2023 yet, but I have the employer letter stating my current income, and taxes for 2022/2021/2020 - is it ok to send that in? Or do I need to do the taxes for 2023 before I send in the documents? Thanks so much!

Hi Kseniya, the information you provided to us is amazing! I have a question and would appreciate it if you can answer it. My daughter is my main sponsor and started working in the US this year, so she does not have her Federal Tax from last year and I have another person as a Joint-Sponsor. Since my daughter is working as an independent contractor (self-employed) she does not get pay stubs. What to do in this case, I mean, what kind of financial evidence she can provide? She got a letter from the company she provides her service stating how much she makes.

I'm aware that I will not be able to use my income when we move as I will not likely have the same job and transferable income (similar for my husband). Should I include my income on the form and add a note under additional information or leave it blank?

If my spouse (US Citizen) doesn't have any income at all, should my spouse still choose 'I am the petitioner', and have my spouse's household members in part 5 & 6 as co-sponsor? Or should my spouse NOT fill this form, and have my spouse's household member fill as joint sponsor?

Quick question. I received an email a few days ago regarding the annual salary needed to sponsor a family member to whom I submitted I-130 for, and they told me that I am not qualified because my annual salary is not enough to sponsor my father or mother. I found that there was a second way to make up the difference if the annual salary required for qualification was not available, and I found that I could use property and assets to sponsor using I-864? Is that correct?
Can you tell me what annual income I must make to sponsor 4 people, for the state of California?
Do you know if the annual income can be offset by using property and assets and if I-864 was the right form to use for that purpose?
I read online:
The most common minimum annual income required to sponsor a spouse or family member for a green card is $22,887. This assumes that the sponsor - the U.S. Citizen or current green card holder - is not in active military duty and is sponsoring only one relative.

Hi! My parents are living with me in the USA in the same household and I am the only sponsor for both of them, and have filed separate Form-130 for each of them. Do I have to include both of them in the household? Also I am filing a separate Form 1-864 for each as well so in each they both should be part of the total Household rite? So should I add each of them in the family member section in Part 3? Also which option to select in Part 3? will it be 1 or. 2 or 3? Will appreciate your input. Thanks

A letter came back saying they could not determine my household head. What should I put in this case and do I need to write a letter explaining my divorce process and how he’s not longer part of my household?

1- I am applying to myself and my son. I was recently married, but I still haven't changed my last name to my husband's last name. When is my last name changed? Do I need to fill in some form?
2- Part 6 - 24a, b, c - if the amount is not enough for the spouse and stepson, what is the amount the sponsor must have in savings or checking account to be considered sufficient?

Could you kindly clarify the meaning of "joint sponsor". I'm still not clear. Is it a joint sponsor 1 of 2 sponsors equally sharing financial responsibility for the intending immigrant? If the petitioner fills a I-864 form and another relative fills a separate I-864 form does petitioner become the first joint sponsor and the second relative become the second joint sponsor?

Hi @Kseniya, Im my country’s passport they have names in two different pages: native and english versions, in english side their system add letter k before letter x if your name has it, for example in native “Zahroxon” , in english side “Zahrokxon” , which one should be entered in i-864? Hello kseniya, thanks for your Videos they have been of great help to me, I do have a question I would be applying for adjustment of status from f1 to green card through my husband, who is a citizen I'm currently working with my OPT EDA non-steam course, do I need to show proof of income since I'm listed as part of the household, when submitting I-864 document.
When being asked by NVC to replace I-864 what date should I sign with? I submitted this form with a date earlier than when I submitted, which was a later date in the same month.
Question about the household size. If I am doing this form to sponsor my mom, there are 5 kids in the household, my wife files taxes for 3 and I for 2, we file separately and I have previously filed for i-864 for one of the kids who is currently living with me, for the section that asks about previous i-864 sponsorship, in adding up the numbers would that child be counted two times? Or do I not add them under the dependent section and only under the previous i-864 section when adding the household size?
I really wish the language was more simple, I hate legal definitions and government wording.
