They literally re-use content and do only 1 original joke, then featured it in the title.
Yeah I remember watching literally only two videos, all the jokes were the same except for the one in the thumbnail. They also present it like its jokes based on the title but they usually don’t even use 2 jokes relating to the title
I believe they started doing that because they weren't making any ad revenue with only a few seconds per video
Im friends with some of the people who work on the channel specifically Max Repka (he does audio) and he said they do work as hard as they can to make new jokes but it takes time to animate and do whatever else goes into a video, he said they have to add all of the old jokes just so they can make a profit and keep up their lives because the youtube algorithm doesnt like animation.

Honestly, maybe a better video idea to fit the ten minute video length for a GOOD Baldi video would be to have an animated story whatever you call it where Brody Fox goes through Baldi’s Basic’s as if he was a student there, and fit some new Yo Mama jokes about Baldi’s Basics as like a little intermission scene, just like they did with their FNAF animated thingy-madonger. They could still get that sweet sweet ad revenue, along with having completely new Baldi jokes and all that good shit.

Brody Foxx is just a character. He's actually played by Brock Baker, who is a fairly well respected voice actor who can make funny content and a lot of impressions.
So that's why he always sounded like Joe Swanson.
@@Trizziewix He's not the same voice actor. Joe is played by Patrick Warburton, who does a lot of voice acting roles and they all sound exactly the same. When Brock Baker plays Brody Foxx, he does a Patrick Warburton impression, which is pretty good. Although you can tell it's Brock when you hear how forced his voice acting sounds when he raises his voice.

no it was because of the adpocalypse since they don’t just give money off views anymore but off watchtime and with short videos they can’t do that and they make it 10 minutes so they don’t go irrelevant because they can add as many ads as they want and therefore getting more money = being able to live and that = making more videos

Good attempt, but honestly - this video hardly touches on the facts behind our strategy, how UA-cam's algorithm really works, and cherry picks our content slate. I would've been happy to address any questions via email. I'm sure some additional insight would've given you stronger materials for this video. EDIT: To be fair - here's an example: You mentioned we should have, "Here's an Animeme break". Then a "Back to Yo Mama jokes". We actually tried this, and our Audience Retention data shows a 5% dip in viewers for every card shown. We actually retain more eyeballs by quickly switching the content without warning.

I remember loving Yo Mama, I used the jokes to make my family or friends laugh. But that was a long time ago. Now they've lost the charm that the originals had, which in turn made me uninterested in the channel all together. So in short, I'm glad you made a video on this.
Same used to watch them everyday back in 2013-2015 stopped watching and when I came back I was disappointed

In defense of those yo mama videos for literal children, you never showed an example of "the same joke in different places" or say what's so wrong with being forced to upload massive amounts of the same video due in part by Alphabet, the UA-cam team, and the mysterious omniscient algorithm. (all hail the algorithm)
Instead of making videos about how "yo mama's content is getting worse!!" focus on the real issues here and put them on blast but oh wait, that doesn't make money. Never mind.
Anyway, nice concise 10 minute video you got here. I hope the yo mama team can come through with more quality content one day. 10/10 love the editing 💕😚

I didn't mean to downplay your take on the subject and I also realized that you put in a ton of work to get this video out even after the fact that you had about half of it done. The problem is that they are literally milking this shit to death.

Personally, the biggest thing that ruined Yo Mama for me was how every single upload essentially became a compilation of jokes. Part of the charm of the channel for me was that these were quick little jokes lasting less than a minute that you could get a laugh out of and then go back to what you were doing before. This made the “100 Yo Mama jokes can you watch them all” type of videos feel more special because they would only come around once in a blue moon. But it’s clear that they had to adapt to UA-cam’s new rules and regulations at the time, and now that every video is a compilation of jokes, it kinda takes away the appeal of the whole thing.
Not that the jokes have gotten better either, because I feel like they’ve gotten lazier and lazier over time, and they just want to make jokes about whatever’s popular right now. I mean, at least when they made a joke about pop culture back then, it was actually funny and made sense, even if you had to understand the source material to really get it. You could tell that they were running out of ideas too just from the simple fact that they had to create a whole bunch of new mamas to tell more jokes, because apparently, they didn’t have enough potential with their current cast of characters?
I’m not letting Animeme of the hook either. Ever since they’ve felt the need to shoehorn the Yo Mama cast into Animeme and vice versa, it just felt way too contrived. I liked it better when these two series were different things made by the same creator, rather than being one entity. It just worked better that way, if you catch my drift?

I should mention something- The channel has its a fair share of premieres ( the new feature on YT- ). Which is ok, if you want a video to be a somewhat premiere that's fine. However, when they do they like to do this thing I like to call, " Noticed. " which is where the YT channel will see someone saying " Please notice me " and they'll say something like " ( Insert YT channel here ) NOTICED! " For me, it's a problem. Since I think some of the people will not be there to watch the video, but only to be noticed by the yo mama youtube channel.
