I was offered a $55 price from Slickdeal and jumped on the C1. I was the one trying to turn off the LED's and aim the camera through glass but was having trouble with the LED glare.. I finally got it figured out and am very happy with the picture. I ended up using black electrical tape to cover the LED's and sensor, setting them on manual and leaving them on, using my external LED flood and using Firefox as my Browser because I just couldn't get it to work with Chrome in Windows 7. In all my reading I saw a lot of people sent their Foscam's back because they wouldn't work with Chrome. I wish I could send you a screen save of my picture but I see no way on here. Thanks for all your help. I sent 3 IP Cams back on Amazon trying to figure this out :) It wasn't easy. They still haven't got a real good IP Cam engineered for the U.S. for a descent price yet for Chrome users.
+Jim Bob
Thanks for the update and ideas.
+AwkwardHamster In the video on the app options you said that has a ON/OFF/AUTO night vision, does it work?, because Jim Bob had to put a black electrical tape
+Jorge Villanueva
He wants to use position the camera to point out the window to monitor outside. Pretty sure he put the tape there to ensure IR LED lights doesn't reflect off the window. He doesn't need the built in IR LED since he has an external IR LED flood light.
The ON/Off switches it back to color mode. It doesn't just turn off the IR lights.
Thank you both!
Great video! Just set mine up! How do I get it to record simultaneously. I would like to set it up to record constant. Is that possible?
Tnx dude was very helpfull you vidio but if you can make a video with the complete instalation for laptop too would be great.Greetings from romania
How do you record onto an SD card with the C1?
i can view camera thru phone when i am home....when im away from home camera will not connect...it used too
Comprehensive review I like it thanks
+Dys
Thanks
Really well explained thanks - you just sold it to me..
cool
Question;
how do i set up by my computer
How do I watch my cam from a PC ? It is running over Wifi at home and I access it with my android app but I also want to be able to watch it from PC (Windows), web or some app
Im having problems connecting externally to LiveCams Pro to view the SD card recordings. How do you set it up with the external ip address? The Foscam App on iPhone works for me but can't get the LiveCams Pro working... Total headache. I tried following the manual but no luck. Do I need to setup my router with the port forwarding etc?
Steed Lord Hi. Until I get around to making a more complicated video, you can see if this one works for you. ua-cam.com/video/iHTxuYa3Kzo/v-deo.html
Hi AwkwardHamster. During the initial set up of the IP Cam, does this set up the remote access to view the live stream via cellular wireless data or does this required a complicated port forwarding in the router settings?
cyprezz
During initial setup, you do not need cellular network. You don't have to create port forwarding rules either. I demonstrated that towards the end of the video.
How can you make the Foscam C1 record on alarm and send the recording to the Foscam app? my C1 takes pictures and sends them to my email but doesn't record even though i set it to record on alarm.
Could Foscam C1 demonstrate clear view on texts or handwriting on printout or books laying on the desk? or any better model for achieving the purpose.
Hi. I don't think any of the cameras I have reviewed can achieve that with any practical distance.
Excellent review. Sold it for me too.
+M Campbell
Thanks.
Good video. What is the minimum bandwidth this camera requires? I have noticed with a lot of wireless cameras that you need to be practically next to the router in order for them to work.
I would say at least 5Mbps, that's basically DSL or better.
My router will be about 2 meters away but a wall will be inbetween.. Will it still work?
Great review! My video fluctuates from 30kb, to 4kb, to 0kb, and back up again throughout the day. Most of the time its as low as 2kb which makes for bad surveillance. Where should it be at optimal level? Any way to adjust these settings? Thanks!
David Padilla Mine's around 100 kbs. Don't know why yours is so low. I would look into wifi signal strength.
I can't get the camera name to display on the screen it just says C1. I've changed the camera name on both the settings screen and the initial load up screen. Any ideas? Thanks for the video!
I think I did it in the web interface. Are you using the smartphone app? Log in to the camera using a web browser to access the settings page.
Thank you for video.
+inlovewithkarate22
you're welcome
Why does the Foscam app I downloaded not look like yours? I cant add additional cameras
hi what camra would you recommend out of the two the foscam c1 or the Foscam FI9821P 720P HD thanks
FI9821P is better than the C1
My C1 seems to be doing everything it is supposed to do including recording 'alert events', both motion and sound to the SD card installed in the unit. On my MacBook using IPCam Client and using CyberDuck (FTP client) I can view the snaps and videos recorded there. However, I cannot figure out how to view these on my iPhone. The ones that are viewable on my iPhone are only the ones I initiate from the iPhone. Possible? Anyone?
+mik dee
Foscam's app is very limited. I use LiveCams Pro.
SIGH, doesn't work for me. I tried uPnP port on/off. The DDNS is on. As soon as I disconnect WiFi it keeps loading and loading on my S7 with FI8918W
I'm still trying to get the old app to work but it needs so much more data
I am looking at the Foscam FI9831P. I am hoping the plug and play works as easy as this video. Great step by step. Is the SD card view able online? O and you sound fine.
DALE ARNETT
SD card is viewable using their web interface. But, SD Card is not viewable in their app at the present. I have to use a 3rd party app to view the SD card.
👍
hi...i like your videos,i want to buy an ip security camera.i m between fi9831p and c1 which you prefer ang why??
FI9831P
please answer, Upon entering the application and see my cameras from there , I can visualize very slow and choppy images , this must be because of my cameras Security or the internet that I have , (my internet is not bad, I do well the wifi) ?
Camren Franchis
I think I get what you're asking. It works well over wifi but not over mobile network? That happens to me sometimes too when my mobile provider slows my internet connection when I exceed the quota.
Looking at purchasing two C1 cameras for each of baby nurseries. Does the Foscam app function decently for more than one cam? Can I view them simultaneously, with live streaming? Or is there a better third party app that would allow live viewing of both cams? Thanks
Kate Siegrist
The free Foscam App is OK and you can use it to view multiple cameras. I suggest starting with the free one first.
I use LiveCams Pro on my iPhone ($6 app) because I test cameras from various brands and this app supports most of them, but setup takes more work because it's not a native Foscam app.
How to set up email alerts. Thanks
How do you set it up for continuous recording to an SD card? It always stops recording when I exit the foscam app on my iPhone.
What you described sounds like it's recording to your phone instead of SD card. The SD card recording is primarily managed through their web interface. The app functionally is pretty limited in that respect.
Jason Castro did you already find out how? Same problem.. even with web browser can't make it happen record to sd
When I follow this procedure it requires me to activate their cloud service rather than setting up my C1. Is this deceptive marketing or am I missing something? I do not wish to sign up for cloud service, but would like to be able to view my camera and get email alerts on my iPhone when I'm away from home. For now I'm stuck with my in-home Wi-Fi.
+WEGE33
The myfoscam service is free but the cloud recording cost money.
As for what you listed, viewing camera and getting e-mail alerts, those have any fees.
How many days can you record on the 32 gb card? Do you have control over on or off over the app? Thanks in advance.
+Jss Kmpln
At least 5 days. Please keep in mind that Foscam encodes the video in h.264 so file size varies significant when you factor in motion and brightness. 4 hours of nighttime with no motion can be in a 20 MB file. But 4 hours of daytime and motion can end up being more then 70 MB spread across multiple files.
You make this look so easy. I can't get the QR code to scan
Maybe someone can assist, i have contacted the foscam app people several times and they don't know what is going on. here is my issue - when i first got the FI9900P camera a month ago I set the app on my android, i received pushed alarm messages with a snap shot of what triggered the motion. Now i don't get that triggered motion anymore i get the time of the motion but no snapshot. I was receiving it as a notification not an email as well. I think i have gone through my settings 1000 times with them and installed and reinstalled the app.
How did you get the app to download to the LG phone? I have LG leon and tells me that is incompatible? Help! spent money in the camera because of thefts in the office and now i can't set it up because of the incompatibility message
Hi. I got the app from Google Play store.
you can download from foscam support : type the model # > download the app / you can scan the G-R coding on the camera > will take your to app
Hi,,, I download foscam apps on my phone also I can see public cam there,,, I'm confused do they can see my cam too? I hv foscam C1,,, plz help me,,, hw to check my is on public list?
+Zeenath Mohamed
Your cameras aren't public by default. I forgot what I had to do to make mine public.
Iam having Troubles Connection via mobile Connection. It worked sometimes, weeks ago. Via wlan i dont have any Problems. Iam using an iPhone 6. does anyone know why it doesnt work? Thanks
is it possible to automatically upload motion alerts to gdrive?
+Rafal K.
I haven't seen that feature built into the camera. But with these cameras, 3rd party tools are more popular and offer more functionality.
I think I heard you say you were not hooked up to your home's router. If you were a thousand miles away, how would you receive a live video from your camera on your smart phone?
The option for recording has been omitted from updated version of app or it's just not showing in mine? And I can't login from my PC. The page just refreshes every time. Would you happen to know what the issue is?
Thanks in advance.
+TheDropForged
Interesting. Are you using the Foscam app that is blue with white cloud or Foscam app that is grey with a black camera?
I am using blue one as yours. Actually it just occurred to me that this issue may only be in Android app? Interestingly only recording option is missing. Tonight after getting home, I'll try on my wife's iPhone and see.
Someone's borrowing my LG G4 right now. I'll check it out later, or whenever my S6 arrives.
+AwkwardHamster Did you try with your LG G4? I tried iPhone too but that SD Card function is not there. Very strange.
can u show me how to setup local recard in sd card. thanks.
+Narupon Piyatharatibes
I'll have to make a video about it when i have some more time.
does the motion detector work ?
bernard lee
When I walk in front of the camera, the camera can take snapshots and e-mail it to me, save to SD or save to FTP. Or it can save video clip. There are a lot more options if you use 3rd party solutions.
Question: If I just use my cell phone for the quick setup as you did here, can I then get on with my PC at a later time and just log into the Foscam website or something using my browser, and then view the cam on my PC as well? Or do I have to do a completely new setup from scratch to view it on my PC ? Thanks for any help!!!
+Stewart Scott
Foscam's new web interface is beta, a work in progress. You can log in and view the camera from a computer.
+AwkwardHamster Sorry I have a quick follow up question. I went ahead and purchased this cam, I did the same quick set up that you did in your video, set up worked great, I can view my cam nicely from my iphone app, BUT, when I log into the Fascam website cloud using my PC with my user name and password, I cannot view my new cam, it says it's offline! ????? Yet I can see it with the iphone I set it up with so its not offline.......what am I doing wrong???? maddening! I am using google crome as my browser
+AwkwardHamster Note to my 1st reply above: I see Foscam cloud does not have 'any' plugin's available now for any of Windows based browsers, due to the issue of none of the browsers supporting Java plug in's any longer as I understand it?? . Strange. Can't use Foxfire, Chrome or IE at the moment. New question though. How do I use the Soft IP button located on the back on the Foscam C1? I am trying to use the cam to monitor a exterior doorway live at work on my Windows PC. Will using the Soft IP button on the cam enable me to view the came on my PC while in the same building? Driving me nuts trying to figure out exactly how to get this cam to work and VIEW IT 'somehow' on a Windows based PC!! Grrrrr. Foscam needs to fix this issue!!!!
There are 2 Foscam cloud websites. Are you using the newer one (myfoscam) or the old one (foscamcloud)?
As for Chrome, does it still prompt you to install the plugin? Can you try IE or Safari?
+AwkwardHamster Yes I am logging into myfoscam, it keeps prompting me to download the plugin in, I am using Windows 10, I have tried using the new Windows 10 Edge browser, Chrome, and Firefox. I have downloaded and installed the plug in from myfoscam numerous times now, but still it keeps prompting my to install the plugin. This is the message I get from Chrome below, Can I use Safari on Windows 10??
Plugin-based content doesn't work on Chrome
Plugins previously allowed extra features to be added to browsers. Most of these features can now be included by website creators in a more secure way by default as part of HTML5. Chrome support for these plugins ended September 1, 2015.Why NPAPI plugins don’t work nowIn the past, many plugins were developed using an old system called NPAPI. Today fewer sites are using NPAPI plugins and they have often caused security risks on websites. To make browsing with Chrome safer, faster, and more stable, we stopped allowing NPAPI plugins on September 1, 2015.Plugins that use NPAPI, including Silverlight, Java, and Unity, won’t work. If you want to use a website that uses an NPAPI plugin, you’ll need to use a different web browser.PPAPI plugins still workPlugins that use a newer, more secure system called Pepper API (PPAPI) still work. That includes plugins that come with Chrome, like Adobe Flash. PPAPI plugins that come with Chrome update when Chrome does, so there's no need to install anything extra.
I have the same very good camera
Hi Ido t have a bar code on back of cam
+Anthony Rodriguez
Hi. Are you sure you have this camera? Or is it a different brand?
Hi, nice video. Are you still using your Foscam C1? The camera won't stay on after I plug it in. The red light will go on and the night vision will go on for a few seconds and then the camera looks like it shuts down. Do you think I should reset the whole thing and start over?
+sodapop -
I don't use it anymore. Yes, reset it. After initial setup see if there is a newer firmware.
Hey and thanks for your videos - what camera(s) do you use now instead? Thanks
What if you have multiple cameras in different places do I need a router?
If each place is a different room in a house, 1 router will be able to handle many wireless cameras. If each place is a separate building, then each building will need its own wireless router.
Hi, thanks for the great video. I'm having issues finding the email settings. I'd like to send alerts via email. Thanks!
+Dave mp3s
See if this helps. ua-cam.com/video/Iz7F7Vyf-EQ/v-deo.html I'll make a newer one when I have time.
Can it send push notifications when motion is detected?
*****
Not with Foscam app. In the Foscam app I see an icon for alerts and system alerts. They may be introducing it in the future.
With other apps, alerts will sound but the 3rd party app has to be running.
Does it take still pictures based on motion and send it via email?
+Networkshinobi
Yes, if you configure it that way.
I need your help!!! I love your account and you helped me a lot with my first foscam setup cause i was having a lot of problems. I got a foscam F8910 a nvr from foscam and you just got myself a C1. The installation went smooth and easy now with the qrcode. However when i see on my nvr i saw the connection of the C1 was connecting and disconnecting all the time. So i checked it on the tool and you can see it always going on-offline. My network is good there is no problem with that, i put the two foscams in thesame room and i also put the network cable in the C1 and i still have thesame issue. Do you know how i can fix this problem?
+Steve Peetroons
Hi. The first thing I would try is to to check if my C1 is running the latest firmware. ua-cam.com/video/QkyHa9mpxaw/v-deo.html
Next, if the wifi is using both 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz, I would switch to 2.4Ghz.
+AwkwardHamster Thanks for the fast reply, i have the latest firmware installed but how do i switch wifi ghz? i can't find it anywhere in the settings? sorry for not knowing
+Steve Peetroons
Often it's a wifi network name that has 5 in it. Let's say my wifi is House1. My 5G network would be House15G.
why would that be the problem cause my network name has a 5 in it????
+Steve Peetroons
802.11n can broadcast on 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz. I believe many routers work this way except for mine. My Verizon router only uses 2.4Ghz with 802.11n. Perhaps these routers are cheaper, I don't know but it's what I have to work with. With that said, some of the gadgets I have that supports wifi say dual band support in the specs. I did not see Foscam advertise dual band support with their cameras.
It's merely a hypothesis since I don't have a 5Ghz router, I suspect devices that don't advertise 5Ghz to work with 2.4Ghz.
If you're home network also broadcasts on 2.4Ghz see if the Foscam can work with it. It should be a quick test.
If you still have issues when using the 2.4Ghz, then my hypothesis is wrong.
I don't have wireless network, I have Data ! does it work like that?
+Fatima Melim
You mean you don't have a wireless router or even a wired router? If all you have is a smartphone with a data plan, you can get this to work by having the smartphone act as a wireless hotspot. But, I don't think that's practical and would be very costly.
do you get email alerts
+mark hawkins
You can. I currently don't use that functionality.
Hi i have a question, i dont want my nanny to see it how can i hide it as she sleeps in my child room, does this camera come in wireless and night vision also the voice how far will it record? Thank you for answering in advance
+Jumana Jaber
There is a low red glow coming from the IR led lights used for night vision. Even if she doesn't notice it the first night, she will eventually notice it.
AwkwardHamster thank you, i have tried it and i kept it on day mode and kept a dim light in the room and i can record , my other question is i tried to record and once i exit the app it stops whats the solution?
hi, how is the camera working for you? Do you think is worth getting for?
+inlovewithkarate22
Camera works well but I don't use it anymore since I got the Amcrest 1080P unit.
+AwkwardHamster How is the amcrest camera is it better than this one?
+inlovewithkarate22
Amcrest has features I currently need to watch grandpa. Easy to mount with tripod thread. It can pan/tilt. It can constantly record with ability to watch recordings remotely.
+AwkwardHamster thank you for replying, hmmm, I think i like amcrest. i was thinking of getting dlink nite and day too. i also checked out net gear which is really nice the downfall battery can be easily consumed by motion dection alone and the batteries are not cheap.
Doesn't work, doesn't give wifi as an option, says connect wired connection, but there isn't one on my model.
the foscam app is broken it works only 20% or 30% on 4g or on wireless connection (other than the one on the same router as the camera)
+Onica Daniel Petru
I'm not fond of their app but it has been improving.
Still, I prefer LiveCams Pro.
what is the best foscam app for iphone?
*****
LiveCams Pro by Eggman technologies
AwkwardHamster
Thanks for quick answer. Do the app send push notifications with alarm?
*****
It's not a true push notification. I have to be in the app for notifications to pop up.
AwkwardHamster Interesting. You chose a fairly obscure iOS webcam app, not what I would have expected. Based on my personal experience, it would be IP Cam Viewer by Robert Chou (iOS or Android), or tinyCam Monitor Pro (android).
Thanks for putting out these vids AwkwardHamster - I discovered the Foscam's via your channel, your reviews are very helpful.
Can the C1 record video automatically or do i need an SD Card?
+Daniel Bull Runner Lamb
Yes, there are many options for recording. To SD, FTP, surveillance station, etc
you should make a video on how to program C1 using SD, FTP, surveillance station
The camera is great... however, i'm having a problem of connecting the camera from the internet. I works fine if i connect it via Wifi. Do you have any idea how to fix that?
+dellam04
What app are you using?
+AwkwardHamster the Foscam app just like the one you have in this video.
When you added the camera to this app, did you do so by scanning the QR code? I did that around 1:34 in this video.
I sure did... I got the camera to work beautifully on both Wifi and outside of the home network. then around a month later, it got very flake to connect to the camera when i'm outside of the home network... i've uninstalled the app and reset the camera and got it to work for couple of days and it got flakee again...
I am not sure what would cause that. I would see if it's running the latest firmware before contacting their support line.
also....i can see from 2 phones?
+AngelDaGameR
Yes, at the same time.
can view this while away from home?
+J Ochoa
Yes, I demonstrated it at 8:50 in this video.
ua-cam.com/video/Zi1nNAjgOHQ/v-deo.htmlm50s
Hey. I inserted a Sd card and its not showing on alarts record to sd or ftp. I went on the web UI and switched to record on sd for alarts. From the app it doesn't show SD card. Am I missing something?? Please help
you make sure the SD card is accepted in the slot that should give the recoding storage option. on the app do the recording and see if it 's recorded on the SD card instead of HD
skylark304 I actually have the exact same problem. From the app there is no mention recording... SD card is inserted
when i log into the web tool it shows the SD card but doesn't record... i ended up using the cloud option 4.99 which is good but sucks to pay.
LeXx Diamondz FORMAT THE SD storage card thru computer then it will be acknowledged. insert the sd card into a mobile phone and connect the mobile to computer with a usb cable > swipe over your mobile , it will show as charging.... tap on the options to show the files and the folders > it will show the sd disk > rt click and it will see format > clik format > it will erase any data. now the sd card will be recognised into the ip camera for storage.
can i ask you something? i will go to an island and my camera will be at home....how i can see what's happening? Or the qustion is...can i see what is happening...?
If the island has open internet you can view the camera from there.
oh...ok thank you
how does it record automatically when motion is detected?
It all depends on how you have set it up.
I listed 3 below but there are more options
if there is a SD card in the camera, it will record to the SD card
if you signed up for cloud recording, it will record to the cloud
if you have your own cloud storage unit, it will record there
AwkwardHamster I know that, but mine won't record when a motion is detected, I have to manually hit record in the app after I get a notification. by the time I get the notification and I get into the app whatever was happening on camera will be gone. Kinda pointless .
Hi! I change my mobile phone so I need to reconnect my C1 again. It's asking for security name and password. I don't remember it.. How can I redo all? Please help.
I'm afraid you would have to reset the unit and start over again because I don't know of a way to recover the username and password.
...DONT BY FOSCAM.....VERY BAD SUPORT AND HARDWARE.
I can view camera through phone when i am at home....but when I am away from home camera I cannot connect...Can you guide me?
What I showed in this video is to view when away from home. Did you use the same app as in this video? Other apps may work but they require additional steps for remote viewing.
@@AwkwardHamster thak you for the reply.
I have installed the same blue colour foscam application. Still it doesn't work.
I would love to know what the difference between the Foscam C1 and C2 is.. Except for the price difference.. Thanks
+Nicolò White
I made a video comparing the C1 and C2 before. Let me know if you cannot find it.
Thanks so much.. I found it.. Just one question, Which one would you choose?? It may be obvious but I have heard people say that C1 is better than C2 and C2 is better than C1.. What's your opinion?? Thanks
+Nicolò White
Following my video, Foscam has released a software update to the C2. Yes it has improved video quality, but, I don't think it's as clear as the C1. There are newer C2 review videos on UA-cam from other people that was made with this new firmware installed. If you watch those, keep an eye on how fast the subject is moving. If I stood still, image quality is OK. If I moved, it would start to blur. People who break into my house won't stand still for the camera.
I like the C1. Besides, storing a week's worth of 1080P footage for multiple cameras adds another level of complexity. At my home, I use 720 cameras. At grandpa, it's 1080.
Thanks very much for your opinion. Note taken.. Cheers
Hi AwkwardHamster. Me again. I was thinking, do you think, would it make a difference what Mini Sd card I put in. Meaning a class 10 U3 or a much lower class Sd, for example, a class 2,4, or 6 U1. Higher the better?
Thanks once again..
it wont run without shutting down Chrome, it wont work. Tech support must realize its a waste of their time, cant even get a response. guess I'll move on. Cant move to Apple products
can you turn off the night vision
+TROUBLE MAKER yes
are you having any motion detector problems
Do you remember the name of the addon
+Jim Bob
Addon for IE? It's just an activeX plugin. I demonstrated it here with Foscam C2. ua-cam.com/video/utJykC6Vkc0/v-deo.html
No the google beta plugin
I can only see a picture with IE. Nothing else. No phone, no cloud. Nothing else will accept password
+Jim Bob
I don't remember the file name but I updated the camera's firmware and it included the beta plugin.
TinyCam for Android is way better than the Foscam software.
I got the C1 connected through the smartphone but no live view. Ever time I hit play it asks for my password. I guess I'll start over.
+Jim Bob Not doing real well with the auto set up. Are there tech support people to talk to during the week or is this a pay only service? I can't access the SD card for some reason. It shows me how much free space I have but can't access it. And the 3 step setup didn't make it passed the password input. It wouldn't accept my password of all things. I can get in directly to the camera but not through the cloud. I am hoping it's a problem at their end over the weekend and will try again during the week. I'd like to try this all with new firmware but can't do it without the basic camera set up.
In the USA, I know phone support is free if you purchased it from www.foscam.us
+AwkwardHamster I tried the email support and that was painfully useless. I also saw the little note while setting it up that said it won't work with IE64. So along with Chrome and Foxfire it won't work with Internet Explorer 64 bit, don't see how anyone with Windows ever gets it working.
I know there is a Chrome beta plugin but I don't use it because it's beta and needs improvement. As for IE, in one video I showed the issue with 64bit Edge. In Edge browser upper right, I clicked on ... and clicked something that says launch in IE. That worked.
neither my phone nor my box have a QR code on them. How do I set this up without one?
+Diane Fazio
You can use the instructions in this video, it's the same for C1 and C2 cameras. ua-cam.com/video/utJykC6Vkc0/v-deo.html
+AwkwardHamster I am so unbelievably frustrated in so many ways with this camera. I have wasted so much time trying to figure this out. :-(
SO on the screen where it asks to scan the QR code that I dont have, there is an option to click on the bottom of the screen and it takes me to this. I dont understand what I am supposed to enter.
I don't know why the camera won't have a QR Code. And you're talking about the Foscam C1 correct? At 1:46 in this video, I showed the QR code is on the back of the unit. It's about 0.5in by 0.5in in size.
No QR Code anywhere. on the box OR on the product itself. Its a FI8910WB. I cant believe how difficult this is. I am so frustrated.
That camera mode, FI8910W does not have a QR Code, and does have more steps for setup. Foscam didn't start using QR code until 3 years or so ago and the FI8910W was originally released before that. This video shows how to setup FI8910W. ua-cam.com/video/2xKu4uZtt3M/v-deo.html
Wow the sound on this video makes my ears hurt.

Can this camera detect motion through windows glass ?
yes, but not when IR LED is on because it'll blind the camera
Can you turn of IR LED
@AwkwardHamster
Lie.
It do NOT work behind glass, because motion detection is NOT working. Only PIR sensor works.
AwkwardHamster if you are going to do reviews dont lie to people. And if you dont belive me install newest firmware and see.
And no , you can not turn off PIR in newest firmware either.
