In today’s video I went out to the Fairfield Card Show, it’s a 3 day event hosted by a wonderful person named Dion, his Instagram is, “thecardattic232” I really enjoy going to some of these northern California card shows because you end up seeing the same people, same dealers and vendors, you start to make relationships and grow your connections with people. So much so to where you can stop by and say hello to them each time you see them. Sometimes you make amazing deals at these card shows, sometimes you pay too strong, but the real deal and ultimate experience is being able to enjoy your time at these events and to grow as both a buyer and as a seller. I am excited to see what the future holds and to search more and more value bins, dollar boxes, and showcases for the best deals around the world. Maybe one day here in the future you’ll see me buying out your local card shows of all of the low end sports card inventory. For now, I’ll stick to buying out value bins in my neck of the town here in Sunny Northern California. Some of the best deals you can find are at card shows and if you haven’t ever been to one yet you should definitely consider making it out to one whenever you find yourself able to. It’s an experience you’ll never forget. I’ll always be going to as many card shows as I can and exploring as much as possible. Maybe one day in the future I’ll get sponsored by some companies so that we can go and travel more and more to further and further shows. For now the Bay Area in California is the furthest I’ve been to scavenge for deals regarding sports cards and any card in general. Maybe that will change soon as I am wanting to/ hoping to make it down to Burbank Sports Cards after they have the new grand opening of their location over on the corner of Magnolia and Hollywood in Burbank California across the street from the world famous cafe and bakery Porto’s we’ll have to enjoy some growth and some fun before we can commit to something so wild! But I really hope that we can go to there and I hope you decide to subscribe so we can enjoy the journey together regardless of what happens in the future!
Have been back in the hobby now probably 3-4 years now. Have noticed especially lately how much brand new product sells for in singles which is great. My wonder is, will some or most of these new cards ever be worth the 1st prices they are selling for again? 🤔
Typically a good rule of thumb is that the product and prices for singles of that product are going to be the highest when it is directly released… but that is definitely not ALWAYS true. That’s a whole subject and you could talk about that for hours, but in general the prices directly after release are some of the highest prices you’ll see. Some examples of when they aren’t might be with Jordan love, or cards of players that do amazing things for their sport, such as Jackie Robinson, Michael Jordan, Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Mike Trout, heck people didnt even know some baseball prospects like Acuna I believe and now he’s one of the hottest selling guys in baseball.. he’s cooled off but
@@ruffasportscards thank you for that reply, definitely subbed now 👍👍
Appreciate your support hopefully you are enjoying many more videos I’ve uploaded as well as the future content I post :)
I think u offered up but good inventory
Yea I had originally seen the first like 1/20th of the box before offering; still some nice filler for the auctions i run on whatnot. Can’t go too wrong, especially hoping that the market starts to bounce back with preseason amongst us
Thanks for posting another video! Sometimes less is more. I rather have the ability to cherry pick and pay a bit more than buy a large amount for cheaper. It's the economy of time.
Most definitely agree with that! I’m personally okay with the other way around as long as the inventory seems like stuff I should be able to sell on whatnot, and or if I’m able to prepare and plan for preseason hype for nfl! There’s some nice prospects like Michael Wilson, and certain other players that people don’t talk too much about if at all that could start out hot. It’s all just either filler for whatnot, or for setting up at my first card show! (Which should hopefully hopefully be in September… [not the Sacramento show])
Also helps out for the content! 😎 able to get 2 videos out of these 2 deals, and inventory! That’s a win win!
I appreciate your support very much as always, and it was super nice to talk to you and meet you also.
Found a 36$ card in the lot 🫡🤙🏻 technically it’s pc, but now I know and can share a card that might be overlooked that people can lookout for :)
Video will be up tomorrow about it :)
You local to that show? I have no sports card shops in the 707, I have to drive to concord or Sac…it sucks
I am not super local to that show no, I have to drive about 2+ hours to get to there. Honestly there’s finally going to be a card show that’s hosted near me hopefully in September… I’m hoping to have that be my first one I set up at :) but I didn’t have a card shop near me until about a year and some ago, now there’s one dedicated sports card shop that has other card games also, and then 2 other new shops that offer sports cards also but aren’t there only focus :) it’s expanding more and more where I’m at which is nice! Even I’m hoping we have more shows
I plan on doing the same thing in a couple of weeks
Always fun to search the value bins
