- For the past 14 years, I've been fortunate enough to go to the biggest sports card show in the world: The National Sports Collectors Convention. On day two of the national, we made the most deals we've ever made at a card show. In one of the deals we bought a Joe Burrow 1/1 Green Kaboom! I was at the National. It was a great time. Bought a box of Upper Deck 23-2024 Series 2 for $ 250 and the last pack pulled a Young Guns Connor Bedard! Took it right over to PSA. Made my Weekend!

Ryan I absolutely love your videos man and know nothing about sports. But next time you’re spending over 2.5K on cards and they nudge you for an extra $25, please say no for me 🤣🤣
Im not a sports card seller but these dudes have hella tight margins.... on like 400-500 dollar cards they might be making 30-50 profit... sure 2.5k seems like a lot but if you paid 2.3k or even more your bascially taking home 200 bucks which is nothing on a 2.3k investment. Not saying thats the case but seems common with sports cards for profit margins to be razor thin.

Plus the reason why the people pay extra to get in early is to get the best deals so if you don’t like it then pay extra
funny story, I was the owner of the the Roemo Doubs, Mahomes, and Pen Pals Hutchison and Addison. I priced those cards based on all the videos I watched of Ryan doing deals.
Fun fact: The Mahomes was the most expensive of the batch /99 at $75. Only one not even Auto.
My favorite thing about CC2 is that you treat everyone the same no matter the age. Never know where people are at in their walk through life, just because there’s people much older or younger than yourself doesn’t mean you treat them any different regardless of their collection. Not every adult has unlimited disposable income!
So many things in here on "how to do it right". Keep it up. LOVE how you ask every time "can I look" - that will definitely sink in with a lot of the kids and become habit for them also.

How do these kids have cards worth thousands of dollars?? I was lucky to have $100 in my pocket at Christmas, growing up!!! A couple of the kids in the video dont look over 13 or 14 years old and they have TONS of expensive cards that I cant afford and I am an accountant and been working for years!

You are mistaken my friend, you have to really search for deals, a lot of buyers though have things way above comps with very little wiggle room.

Every card collector is going crazy over these Kaboom cards. There are so many different variations that the manufacturers put out to entice collectors to buy them at outrageous mark up when in 2yrs they will be worthless B.T Barnum quote there is a sucker born every day. 😅😅😅😅😅

SMH what brothers me the most,. people are making all these ridiculous prices!! not like back in the days when they had the Beckett price guide those were reasonable prices.. now people randomly just price cards!! There should be a system where the actual value of the card is printed that way people don't overvalue the cards with their own comps.. Rich people have destroyed this hobby!!
