- Today was such nice day. We tested out the rest of our glasses at Torga Optical, then popped into Pick n pay for bread, but came out with wayyy MORE than bread. 🤭 Chase had enough of being in the store, but we still enjoyed shopping. 😁
The weather was so lovely that we decided to take a stroll in the neighborhood. Our new neighbors were pumping life into our block with a party that was LIT! 🥳 Although we weren't a part of it, we were still enjoying it from a distance! It reminded us of our family gatherings! Loved it! ❤️

Pick n Pay bakeries are amazing. everything is so fresh. Their meat is a bit pricey but great quality. I don't rate their veggies tho. I agree with everyone who has suggested Food Lovers Market. Woolworths also has the best fruit and veg section. Local fruit and veg markets are usually the best. You can try the Lyttelton Fresh Produce Housewives Market

Chelsea Buns used to be my favorite when I was young... especially from Loretta's bakeries. But I've outgrown that sugar stuff. Nice video and such a fresh and unspoiled neighborhood. Wait until all the houses are occupied and you will know during he festive how lively it's going to be. You guys are adjusting well in SA and the little ones are growing big. There are hundreds of suburbs like that you around Joburg and most with all stands being sold out, already built and occupied. The PnP staff member playing with Chase is real township dude. There's something with us Kasi guys and soccer. Once we see someone with a ball our feet start craving a kick no matter where we are. Lovely video guys love from Eastern Cape

A lot of companies in SA are multinational, infact Makro is owned by the same people who own Walmart to my understanding.
What I don't understand is why (from what I've been hearing from UA-camrs) Americans seem to be getting lesser quality than South Africans, when one would expect the opposite were the case; it's so strange.
Maybe is an issue of regulations, perhaps they are more relaxed in America.
And strangely they charge you more in America for the same thing we pay less for in SA.
I would imagine things would be cheaper in richer countries, but that seems not to be the case.
Most retail stores in South Africa are local except for Spar. Makro was a South African company until Walmart became the majority shareholder 5years ago.
The USA has never had quality food in their history
