Amazing trip. It made my day! I can see you wearing one of those amazing embroidered tops. There are many designs to pick from. I saw similar ones at the Ukranian fest here in Toronto this past Summer.
The food you had looked amazing. What was the white thing that you were cutting into at the end? It looked like poached egg?

Summer in Puglia 😍 Pane Pugliese and burrata with tomatoes and basil every single day- breakfast, lunch and dinner. Scorching sun, cool turquoise waters and prickly rock beaches that tear the bum out of your swimsuits 😂 There is no better place for Summer this side of heaven. 🙄😘❤️

I have a serious case of envy. Italy must be the most beautiful place on earth! The food looks amazing and the ice cream - I want it so much, I love ice cream!

Hi Alyssa, most Italians who live up North Immigrated to the industrial triangle Milan/Turin/Genova way back in the '50s/60s and have either kept or inherited their original family homes in the regions down South. So in Summer or during the Christmas period they head back to their original family's hometown or city. Lovely video Alyssa, btw my older son's girlfriend is from Francavilla Fontana in Puglia, we live in Torino. PS your mom is lovely 😊
We were there for two weeks. The second week was dedicated to your wedding and all the activities your mom painstakingly had organized for all the guests that week. It was wonderful a d everyone appreciated her efforts and participate with you your beautiful wedding day. Giovinazzo is a lively town, friendly and close to so many other towns each with their own history.

I plan to move to Malta, in which I fell in love after two weeks vacation 😉so from there it'll be close to south Italy. I dream about visiting Italy (I only visited Venice 10 years ago) and Greece.

@@AlyssaBeltempo Malta is close architecturally and culturally to Sicily. But also to India, specially when it comes to some architecture solutions. I love India. I went there (mean Malta) and and some pictures to my sister. And she asked "So, when are you moving to Malta? 😂" Tha question blew my mind. I started thinking, talking to my husband and... Yes. We nade a decision. I already moved my life once from Poland to Germany. After that experience I feel that I can do again 😉

OMG Alyssa, this vlog is brilliant. Reminds me of the wonderful times spent with all my aunts (who cook on stovetops as small as that) and their delicious food in Crete; hanging out with my cousins on various beaches there and just enjoying the great weather and towns. The earrings were wonderful - what a great find!

Spent two weeks in Puglia two summers ago and I loved it!!! I loved how laidback and easy that family holidays was - no loads of tourists, so many towns/cities to visit that are totally different from one another, and amazing, fresh local food (as always anywhere in Italy)! Nardò, Gallipolli, Santa Maria di Leuca, and Lecce stood out the most for me. So many other places to visit as we didn't get to see the northeastern part...I wish to visit again...soon, I hope!

Oh man! I was hoping you bought that blue blazer, it wouldve been a perfect dress with a skaters skirt....The final outfit was BEAUTIFUL! earrings and all.
Watching this in Oct 2021, after 45 years of lockdown and semi-lockdown and if-you-know-what's-good-for-you-don't-travel ... oof, it's rough! It's giving me Andalusia vibes, which is where we went on our honeymoon.
As for the shopping, I almost never buy clothing or bags on holiday (anymore) because I'm in a different headspace when I'm traveling, and invariably I come home with pieces that do not at all fit with my wardrobe and lifestyle. My husband, on the other hand, goes absolutely wild at the shops in Italy in particular, coming home with beautiful Italian tailoring.

I just love this video! I have only spent a few days in Italy a long time ago when I went to Pompeii. This video reminds me so much of being in Greece this summer. You should have gotten one of the blazers, you looked amazing it them. You can pull them off and they are definitely a wardrobe essential. And that embroidered dress, you shouldn't have left it behind. It might be out of your norm but it would gave been a great statement piece for your wardrobe!

Loockin forward to heath my dad's birth town Guanajuato. Just next to Jalisco, but takes time and cash to visit, the Guanajuato's capitol, an the City of León, where my dad's was born and went to school.
Also León is known as the finest shoes.
My grandfather was a shoe maker and manufacture shoes for expiration 🤟

I happened upon your vlog while perusing fashion, and immediately had to click when I saw the episode on Puglia. I have traveled many places in Italy, all stunning in their own way, but none affected me with as much emotion as Giovinazzo, birthplace of my maternal grandfather, who by the way, had two sisters named Corsignana! All of Puglia s a treasure, but I will never forget our time in Giovinazzo and can't wait to go back.
