Something tells me we are going to witness our most visible look of our team in the future past this season.
I have similar thoughts. As you look at San Francisco a lot of these younger players will be the core of the team with players like Williams and kittle aging.
@@Wizez Yeah, it feels like we may be able to strike a balance of youth and development going into our later years. The contracts of some our core veterans will come to an end, and I am expecting a whole new philosophy when are legend fade out via retirement or trades.
Guerendo and Schrader are not apples and oranges. The former will be best used as an explosive gimmick, a variation of an HBack. The latter is a solid RB2. He’s not CMC, but he’s got a high floor, and small paycheck
Pretty similar analysis for start of their career, so far. Schrader is a legitimate back, issue is his measurables. Although like you I think he can be successful number 2.
Ppl seem to forget or not understand that KS has a history of not trusting his players and if you show him things he doesnt like he puts you in the dog house. Did it with Pettis, did it with Aiyuk, did it with most of our drafted rbs. Jordan Mason must be fumble prone or show he lacks decisiveness when running in the pocket for KS to use him so sparingly
I also think it has to do with what a player did for Kyle in his past . Mitchell started an entire year essentially with Kyle. So in the same way Kyle is on record looking at Purdy saying he’s my best qb then putting him 3rd on depth chart during his rookie year . He’s done that with some of his players.
With that being said I still think Mason is due for a larger workload , he’s clearly San Francisco’s second best back currently.
It would be a bad idea to move Mitchell from the rotation or roster.
YOU ARE CORRECT. GREAT PROGRAM
I fully agree, Mitchell can't stay healthy. When he is he's a great back, but Mason has proven has proven he's talented and durable. A 4th-round (high hopes) pick or player swap for Mitchell would be the best the for the team.
I wouldn't mind a pick or player swap especially for a tackle.
Mitchell is a great back, but his injuries have hurt him and stopped him from developing as much as he could.
Trade Mitchell, Latu, Ambry, Brendal, Womack for whatever you can get
Not sure about Brendal as offensive line depth is questionable at best but honestly don’t disagree on each of those other players being on the block.
This comment is gold 💯🏆 @49ers
Giants would take Mitchell. They can use another good rb that can't stay healthy
Brendel is not healthy right now. They wouldn’t get squat for Latu, and close to squat for Thomas and Womack. Let things play out in camp.
@wizez Couldn’t agree with more with you. Excellent video!
Much appreciated, thanks !
Trade Mitchell, but not for the pittance they usually get for their talented backs.
DO THESE BACKS BLOCK WELL??
Juice isn't going to be around forever.
Right? I still am reeling over what they got for Wilson Jr
None of the other RBs are pure fullbacks like Juszczyk. They're not quite big enough. Fullbacks are becoming rare, most college teams don't have them. And even amongst fullbacks, Juszczyk is even more rare in that he's a fullback that can also catch and run routes.
Hmmm, interesting that 4.33 guy could be very useful. Nice vid, thanks
I think he’d be great with some work with turner . He’s somewhat new to the position being a wr out of highschool. Rather than just a pure rb I see him as a gadget guy to start his career.
When healthy Mitchell is the best back (outside of CMC). He doesn’t need to play a lot, he just needs to be there to help give CMC a break here and there.
I disagree, currently Mason looks like second best back and he’s only ascending. But it’s great to have this issue. Mitchell is a great back too.
@@Wizez I think Mitchell has better vision and is a better pass catcher. JP is a stronger downhill runner. But agreed, good problem to have!
I agree only occasionally with sports writers and almost never with unknown sports "experts" and, not to say this was all that difficult an analysis, but I agree 100%. Mason will play more this year as the niners follow through with their plan to spell CMC more often (also a very good idea) and has shown good potential, but there is a need to find a good, solid next multi-threat back to replace CMC in a few years. Any tradable excess player should be used to acquire O-Line candidates, the number 1 weakness on the team.
