Im in the North of Scotland so ride in the same guck u do. Most of the time i just rinse the bike off straight away since pretty much every time i use cleaners something always seems to ruin my pads. Biggest problem is after cleaning the chain ile come back to the bike the next day to a rusty chain
Dry and lube after cleaning if you aren’t already
Yeah, it's important to get that chain dried off and fresh lube reapplied soon after washing to provide a corrosion barrier.
For contaminated brakes, check the cleaner is brake safe, and be extra careful not to use the same brush for any greasy parts (not just drivetrain, but around anywhere that's greased when installed, and suspension and dropper post stanchions.)
immediately after the ride , throw your bike in the local stream.... the best way to keep it clean for the next time :-)))))
So long as your lubes and greases are eco friendly, suppose it's not the worst thing you could do...
