Snow Chick: A Penguin's Tale
This enchanting film follows the adventures of one charismatic emperor penguin from the time he emerges from the egg to the moment he leaves for the sea. Emperor penguins grow up during the winter in one of the coldest places on Earth - the Antarctic. The conditions are harsh and chicks must endure temperatures of minus 60 degrees Celsius and terrifying blizzards. This film follows the trials and tribulations of one adorable fluffy chick - from his first tentative steps on the ice, to getting lost, to hanging out with the other chicks. It also shows the lengths his parents will go to provide food, overcoming huge obstacles, avoiding predators like leopard seals, and enduring freezing conditions. Full of tense and moving moments as well as comedy and character, Snow Chick follows the emperor penguin's life story in a level of detail never attempted before.

Dad did not give up, that is parenting, Father of the year award.
he's just doing what fathers do
@@shenelldixon-transformyour4237 which is wholesome 😌
@@shenelldixon-transformyour4237 fatherhood does a vital role in any child development. Especially when a child is young, I will give my life for my children.
@@Balloon410 remember not all fathers are the same, I have never met my father, throughout the years, my close friends and even my own family bullied me about that, my step father constantly beat me, he beat me because I was not one of his siblings, anyway, in the animal kingdom I have noticed how Mother Nature diversity have only one purpose to survive whithin each species, throughout life I have learned the is on this planet a very dangerous animal, all u have to do is look at a mirror.
FYI I did not grow up with a father figure, MY MOTHER DID HER BEST, in which I’m forever grateful for her, as I’m growing up maturing myself, analyzing my individual experiences, I SWORE to be there for my sons, to be there unconditionally for them, regardless there individual adventures, life experiences, their doubts, life circumstances, anyway I’m very happy to c them as young men, be better than me, at a young age I have always told my sons anyone even if it my own family member get out of line or mess with them, all they have to do is to tell me who it is. I will take care of it.
This baby penguin may be the smallest one, but it has the biggest experience for it's age :
- got lost in the snow storm nearly freeze to death
- got bullied the first time trying socialize with other kids
- almost got killed by a predator
- and just now, almost got kidnapped by its own folks.
And it survived it all !!
Kudos for this kid, he may be the smallest one but he's also the bravest one.
Yup watched this chick full documentary
@@darkblaze9400 what's the name of the documentary?

Tbh those penguins "practicing" on ice blocks is a bit heartbreaking.

Agreed

That baby penguin is a real survivor, you can say it has seen it all. He's in a battlefield every single day, be it in the storm, bullies, encounter with a preditor and even a flock of kidnapers, yet he's the smallest among the chicks. What more has the BBC got in store for us on the little fella? So adorable! If he gets to have his own chick, he may well turn up to be the best dad in the penguin world.
Yeah!!

Penguins have so much drama even with nothing around at -50c! Such amazing animals!
This baby penguin’s life is so tough, he really is motivating me to overcome my problems, which compared to his are not that serious.

This is basically a penguin chick horror film. Stalked, separated from his parent in a sudden attack, then chased by an unrelenting hoard. Then at 1:16, he's pinned to the ice with all those sharp beaks coming down all around, grazing him and nearly impaling him. ..And then there's that one penguin whose beak stabs down and forcefully penetrates the ice, just half an inch from him. 😳☠😬😨 This is the stuff that penguin chick nightmares are made of.
It's like the Indian boarding school era all over again.
It's almost a documentary parallel to the movie "Mother!"...
Life be hard bro.

2:08 this shot is so cinematic. dad looks so proud ❤️
I have watched the complete series so far. Gotta say this little chick is so precious and hope this chick thrives well in the future and the almighty protects him from the unforeseen dangers.
What series is this from?
*I HAVE TEARS OF JOY THAT THE DAD WAS ABLE TO GET HIS CHICK BACK.*
I remember watching a doc about penguins talk about this, except that one ended with the baby penguin dying from suffocation, I’ve never looked at penguins the same....
I saw one like that too it was brutal to watch, I know they’re animals and can’t help their instinct, but it was such a waste of a perfectly healthy chick that they smothered and crushed to death, and all the while it was trying to get away but it was too little and not quick enough. It didn’t even have a parent to protect it, I don’t know where they were (maybe a predator got them). Broke my heart, never quite had the same affection for penguins since..
This is a masterpiece of survival ✨
It's really so sad they won't survive what we are putting them through... in some decades their ecosystem will change so much, they won't have time to adapt. For penguins, there is only extinction left :'(
@@eelsoirdor3573 too much overpopulation of human on earth
I’ve been reading about this. They adopt/fight abandoned chicks as well. The issue is that those strong instincts wear off in about a week and the abandon the chick themselves. They are pretty selfish really. Take a chick away from his dad and just to abandon him in a week after you got your mothering instincts filled. Smh so glad his dad got him back.
Who knew desperate penguins can be so creepy. Child snatching is on another level. Yikes. Thanks god dat baby was saved.
i know i was like "...the fuck ?"
Not like we're any better lmao
These penguins are more devoted parents than a good portion of humanity lolol…wait
uh no because their stealing and almost killing the baby and there is no parental bond so a kidnapped baby will die.
Yeah but replace the chick with a new TV and this just looks like a Black friday.
Penguins not only cuteness level extreme but definitely one tough little bird. They go thru extreme issues for being so little. And horrible conditions. I adore them. Bravery award here. 💞
Baby chick: *breathes*
Parent penguins: OUR CHICK
That’s so human behavior...just, a bit more noble...from father’s aspects
If you take a tour of the planet Mars, you won't find a baby penguin with its parents! 1:23
When they say ‘failed at parenting’, it’s really code for ‘baby died’ 😥
0:26 very cute....
🐧Merry🐧Christmas🐧everyone! 🐧
*this baby penguin has had more life experience than I've ever had in all my 30 years of living*
Wow that was scary 😟. I didn’t know penguins 🐧 can get like that.
they aren't the only animals that do this either
It's okay daddy's here. 🐧❤️
Oh my gosh, their behaviors are so human! I just can't imagine how distressing it must be for them to lose their chicks.
I find it funny that you think this behaviour is human.. that's with most parents in nature.. the instinct to care for their young.. doesn't have to stem from humans..
@@Bryanzebox If everyone only be as humane as a human should be, then no person like you would be here telling that my comment is funny 😉
I've never seen a hoard of humans attempt to kidnap a child away from its father in broad daylight
You're not supposed to see one.
@@wegotthis3031 lol, you can still be humane and find someone else's perspective hilarious.. Nothing has to conform to a unified spectrum.. there are always variations.. Maybe you'll realise this once you leave your comfort zone and grow older..
I'd kidnap that baby penguin too, he's so adorable
“Nothing is more important than the safety of your young” I love that!!!!!
0:20 that's somehow so sad

“I will kidnap a thousand children before I let this company die”

Crazy how they can tell apart

Penguins will eventually become a lot like Dolphins.
In that they're really smart.
I hope not, dolphins are rapey and at least we are safe on land.
That's a terrifying thought...

Even dogs do the same[street dogs].one female dog took away 2 puppies after fighting and winning over the mother dog. And that mother dog surprisingly gave up protecting. There were 4 pups we saved 2 other 2 we're snatched away by that another dog and it bit their necks thus killing them. In this case the junior penguin was being poked by a lot of senior penguin reminds me that
