Thank you so much for sharing your insight! The work to create amazing art of this very simple subject requires/benefits from the many interesting, delicate and intricate techniques you've applied and been kind enough to share. I'm hoping to be able to absorb some for my own work.

Hi Louise - Watching this while on a brief little road-trip to Seattle, first time my husband Chris and I have traveled together since Covid began, so a treasured change of pace! Glad to hear you've spent some time relaxing with your family too. Belated Happy Birthday to your daughter - mine was on the first of the month as well! I love your little boat and the water will be great fun to experiment with - thanks for this lesson!
Thanks so much Lydia. I hope you have a lovely time with Chris. Enjoy and take care. 💝
Thank you making this video! ❤
This reminds me of some water reflections in some photos I took in Venice. Now you've given me an idea of a slightly different take on a Venice watercolor. Thank you for the wonderful video. Beautiful.
Louise, your teaching here is truly my inspiration.
The fact this was an experiment is amazing! These are some of the best reflections on disturbed water ive ever seen done. Thank you once again Louise. Love the outakes 🧡
Your talent is amazing - thank you so much for this!
Thanks very much Cathy.
It is lovely…thank you for sharing!
Thank you too!
Thank you Louise for this tutorial. Water reflections are one of the challenging subjects to paint. I learned a lot from this vid.
Congrats on the break with your family. Your tutorials have inspired me . Thanks
Louise, you are such a refreshingly wonderful teacher. You explain everything, the paper, the paints and brands, the importance of wetness levels, the types and brands of brushes, and most importantly, you explain why you make each decision - and then you demonstrate it. Your love of teaching and of watercolor comes through. I have all the supplies, but so much fear to begin.
Thank you very much. 💕
Thank you Louise Da Masa for your watercolor videos! You are a great illustrator and teacher!@
Very detailed explanations thank you 🙏
Favored your water reflections to watch. Will make my first attempt soon. Thanks for sharing
That’s incredible! Thank you for sharing! Love the bit at the end 😂
Meeee too 🥰
At last a tutorial from which I can keep on learning. Yes, water is intimidating- you have taken us methodically thru the processes of colors and shapes. Thanks for sharing also your learning as you teach.
You are one of the best artist guide I have come across on You tude. I Love the way you explain every detail while painting. You really give confidence & inspire me to paint water colours. Keep painting and sharing your videos 👍
Thank you so much Ritu.😀
I'm happy to hear you've been able to enjoy some time with your family after all the lockdowns. It must have been especially hard for your son in Sydney. The painting looks incredible as always, and I hope this means we will get to see more subjects with water from you!
You make it look so easy‼ Beautifully done‼
Thanks so much Susie. 😊
Every artist portrays water in such a variety of techniques. Love yours! I try painting water as often as possible and see improvement, but not complete satisfaction. You have inspired me to not give up and be a bit braver and relaxed. Living walking distance to a lake and using your inspirational painting, I am planning on some plein air watercoloring very soon.
Loving your videos! I'm learning so much and I really enjoy your calm tone and your thought processes as you paint. This has given me some encouragement that I could actually try painting water! Your bloopers are hysterical... They make me giggle and brightens my day. Cheers!
Thank you! I'm nowhere near attempting water yet. I really appreciated your pacing as you demonstrated your method of capturing the water, ripples and shadow. Great teaching!
As a long time fan I continue to enjoy and learn from your videos. I’m loving your quirky bloopers too. :))
You are such a gracious lady, great artist and a magnificent inspiration to me.
THIS is what I've been seeking. Thank you Louise, what a gift! Also, out-takes were a complete giggle-fest. Again, with thanks.
" VERY BEAUTIFUL "’ LOVE ❤️
Thank for the very detailed tutorial on painting water. Water has been difficult for me. This breaks it down in easy steps.
What an experiment! Gorgeous. I’ve definitely steered clear of painting water. You open possibilities. Love you! ❤❤❤
Your amazing with watercolor painting!!!
Thank you so much Darlene. 😀
Very helpful.
Beautiful work and great choices of what to paint, which is my biggest challenge, aside from not being able to paint!
I loved watching you paint this. Perhaps it will spur you on to other diverse subjects! Don't get me wrong, your birds and critters are just stunning. This is a great example of how if when you build your skills they will transfer to other less familiar subject matter. The reflection has such a gorgeous mercurial quality. Nice.
You are right! That's very true. Thanks so much. 💕
Glad to hear that you had some family time. I was hoping that you were away for happy times and not health reasons.
Beautiful painting and as always I love that you share your vulnerable artistic moments.
Thanks Suzanne. 💕
Brilliant
Beautiful :)
Enjoyment ,tone of colors and voice, heart and soul activity
That turned out amazing. I’ve ordered a set of those eradicator brushes as it’s one of my favourite techniques and not all brushes can do it so well, thanks for providing the link and affiliates code
Love your paintings and your style. Thank you for sharing your excellent tutorials. Also really like that in spite of your great talent you can still make a little fun of yourself and enjoyed your mis-takes. Wishing you continued success.
Nine months ago i didn’t knew your lessons. Sinds several weeks my mother and i enjoy enormously watching you painting and listening to your excellent explanation. We are really impressed by your talent and the softness of your voice. Now you can also put East of Flanders in Belgium on your European list. Thank you for your UA-cam films and the bloopers at the and. Please keep on painting as long as possible. A lot of greetings, my mother ( Lieve: prenounced leave with saying the E at the and) end myself Saskia, with the A of Alaska.
