I have watched sooo many unsatisfactory (to me, because of my paint style) water tutorials, and then I found you! Your tutorial is great, and I'll be trying this tomorrow, but with a gull on the water. Also, though I am really impressed with a good many of you watercolour artists, your style is very close to what I am trying to achieve. I'm really glad to have discovered your channel, thank you.
Hello dear friend, I share watercolor paintings on my channel. If you are interested in watercolor art, please visit my UA-cam channel. It can be enjoyable for you❤❤❤❤
Nine months ago i didn’t knew your lessons. Sinds several weeks my mother and i enjoy enormously watching you painting and listening to your excellent explanation. We are really impressed by your talent and the softness of your voice. Now you can also put East of Flanders in Belgium on your European list. Thank you for your UA-cam films and the bloopers at the and. Please keep on painting as long as possible. A lot of greetings, my mother ( Lieve: prenounced leave with saying the E at the and) end myself Saskia, with the A of Alaska.
Thank you so much for sharing your insight! The work to create amazing art of this very simple subject requires/benefits from the many interesting, delicate and intricate techniques you've applied and been kind enough to share. I'm hoping to be able to absorb some for my own work.

I've been intimidated about painting water, and you've expressed water perfectly here. Your instructions and expertise are sublime! Thank you Louise! I love your talent!

Just love love this! I think you are the only one to help me understand how to paint water.....have watched soooo many videos but no one explains as well as you!
So glad you took time out for your family Louise, always so important and becoming rarer as they grow up and go on with their own lives..everyone becomes busy busy busy..I just about have to make an appointment 6 months ahead to get a free weekend with mine 🤭🤭 thanks for this tutorial. I tried water recently but used acrylic...must say the soft flow of watercolour looks alot easier. But then you make everything look easy...I love it when you say " it only took a couple of hours" Im still fiddling weeks later....big thankyou and great effort👍🥰
I have just spent 1 hour watching your videos, (this being the latest), and I have learned more in this hour than I have in the past 4 years watching other UA-cam channels. I am so happy to have found your videos so I subscribed. Your explanations are so exact and so precise, you make it so easy to understand exactly what to do in order to achieve the specific results I want. I feel like I wasted 4 years watching those other channels as you are undoubtedly the best instructor on watercolour painting anywhere on the Internet. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with us lesser mortals who have floundered for so long, it's greatly appreciated.
Besides admiring your exceptional talent both in painting and teaching, your sweet whispering voice makes me feel like I'm getting a secret instruction. Love your sense of humor with your outtakes at the end!
Louise, you are such a refreshingly wonderful teacher. You explain everything, the paper, the paints and brands, the importance of wetness levels, the types and brands of brushes, and most importantly, you explain why you make each decision - and then you demonstrate it. Your love of teaching and of watercolor comes through. I have all the supplies, but so much fear to begin.
Oh Louise, you are so funny and wonderful, not to mention a great artist. Love your work and videos. Thanks for the chuckles at the end. Makes it all a little less serious and intimidating. Thank you!
The fact this was an experiment is amazing! These are some of the best reflections on disturbed water ive ever seen done. Thank you once again Louise. Love the outakes 🧡
Glad to hear that you had some family time. I was hoping that you were away for happy times and not health reasons. Beautiful painting and as always I love that you share your vulnerable artistic moments.
You are so tallented. I just love to watch your work and it inspires to try to paint. At the end of your video you are so sweet to show how sometimes things don’t end up as you wanted. Thank you for all this that you show for us. 😀
At last a tutorial from which I can keep on learning. Yes, water is intimidating- you have taken us methodically thru the processes of colors and shapes. Thanks for sharing also your learning as you teach.
I loved watching you paint this. Perhaps it will spur you on to other diverse subjects! Don't get me wrong, your birds and critters are just stunning. This is a great example of how if when you build your skills they will transfer to other less familiar subject matter. The reflection has such a gorgeous mercurial quality. Nice.
Glad you got to spend some time with your family. Happy Holidays Louise. Thank you for all your amazing instruction. I’ve grown as an artist thanks to you.
You are one of the best artist guide I have come across on You tude. I Love the way you explain every detail while painting. You really give confidence & inspire me to paint water colours. Keep painting and sharing your videos 👍
Thank you! I'm nowhere near attempting water yet. I really appreciated your pacing as you demonstrated your method of capturing the water, ripples and shadow. Great teaching!
Love your paintings and your style. Thank you for sharing your excellent tutorials. Also really like that in spite of your great talent you can still make a little fun of yourself and enjoyed your mis-takes. Wishing you continued success.
Hi Louise - Watching this while on a brief little road-trip to Seattle, first time my husband Chris and I have traveled together since Covid began, so a treasured change of pace! Glad to hear you've spent some time relaxing with your family too. Belated Happy Birthday to your daughter - mine was on the first of the month as well! I love your little boat and the water will be great fun to experiment with - thanks for this lesson!
This reminds me of some water reflections in some photos I took in Venice. Now you've given me an idea of a slightly different take on a Venice watercolor. Thank you for the wonderful video. Beautiful.
Thank you for this tutorial. You are very good at explaining things. My painting didnt turn out all that good. I had crappy paper. But next time i will be better prepared. thanks.
Funny that anglophones also struggle with the Arches' name as germans do as well. This is because in german it means 'ass' if you pronounce it correctly in french 😁 I love your boat 💖👍
Every artist portrays water in such a variety of techniques. Love yours! I try painting water as often as possible and see improvement, but not complete satisfaction. You have inspired me to not give up and be a bit braver and relaxed. Living walking distance to a lake and using your inspirational painting, I am planning on some plein air watercoloring very soon.
Best water colour on water demonstration on the internet by a long chalk Louise! Thank you 😊
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much.

Isn’t it amazing how the graphic squiggles end up looking so realistic

Little bit of hair poking up at the end cracked me up. I always love your outtakes!
