What a masterpiece!!! I am from Newfoundland,an island on the east coast of Canada that has much more similarity to Ireland than Canada. This song has such a celtic feel to it,especially the violin! Nfld was devastated by the cod moratorium in the early 1990s so this song resonates very much. A bit of info- pretty much anyone living outside of our capitol city St.John's is called a bay man here. This song is amazing, and it speaks to me on a deep level. My family were farmers in Norway for as long back as anyone can remember (at least 800 years). My uncle recently sold the family farm because it wasn't enough any more. This song is a tribute to anyone doing a job that'd been made obsolete by large-scale corporate involvement.
