Do you think any other operator would have given anything ever for free. Free is not viable or sustainable. More over if others offered free it would have been in collab with brands/operators/ services. Which is against net neutrality. Jio was offering free everything. Airtel looted us for so many years. If not free they could have offered things for cheap.
I am no fan of jio. We should not be fan of businesses and politics. But the ground breaking jio has done. Nobody in the world has done it. Airtel still is considering affluent and is limited to them whereas jio is still targeting 2g phone subscribers which in my humble opinion is more inclusive approach.

I don't agree that Airtel prices are higher than Jio. Recently I was checking recharge plans for just calling and msg access to both the sim but irony is I got 30 days plan just for 199 with 2 GB data in airtel, while in Jio all the such plan was only for those who are using jio phone, for user like us, I found min plan began with 239 for 28 days though it was offering 1GB/day but I didn't need that at all, I'm already mandated to pay for lan & wifi facility in campus.
They have 155 rs plan in 28 days
239 plans offer 1.5 gb not 1 gb dumb

One thing I have observed that when going in car in long drives, if we are going in highways, or going inside train to distant places, passing via jungles and other remote areas,.........JIO's network keeps on working but not the airtel...........but if I say inside my city or evern other tier 2 or tier 3 cities the speed of airtel is far better.............but I will say that presence of JIO was important or else the prices would not have dropped this much

Jio is only for low profile people and Airtel has been no 1 and will always be no 1 I am proud to be using Airtel for almost 16 years
After using Jio fiber for 3 long years, I had to take an Airtel xtream connection when I shift to Bengaluru. Because there in my area, Jio was not available and I faced horrible experience.
Long latency than Jio fiber and agent gave me postpaid service in the name of prepaid service.
But when I left Bengaluru and went to Gurgaon. I faced many places Jio fiber is unavailable. But in my place luckly it is available. And I took Jio fiber prepaid with ZERO harrasament.

While Airtel had broadband infrustructure for long time, Jio just entered this market approx 4 years ago.

Jio abhi Airtel ko : khood beta khood, jab mein full form mein entry maroon tab dikhadoonga tujhe baap kaun hai. However JiO too should not repeat Airtel's mistake of increasing tariff and looting..lest it would be history repeats itself.
Airtel is getting destroyed just by keeping up with Jio. They started unlimited 5G in April, 6 months after Jio. But have no idea for how long they need to continue, and continuously loosing on revenue. They are loosing less as they are gaining some from Vi and BSNL.
This ARPUtel is also loosing 2G customers to Jio Bharat now. If Vi is gone and BSNL don't roll-out 4G/5G by next year. Jio has monopoly but not taking advantage of it till now, but soon they might start asking for ridiculous amount for service and paying those bills will become burden on us.
