That is one thing I hate about the world today. If you don't like something that the other person likes, that person will find it offensive. The world today is very hive-minded. My favorite color is blue, yours may be red, that doesn't mean we can't get along.

I cancelled my Disney+ subscription after She-Hulk. It was very similar. They made a movie that wasn't for men, then got upset that men didn't watch it. But with She-Hulk they went a step further and actually made the male Marvel fans the villains of the show. And then the writers were all interviewed laughing about how meta the show was and how they knew that men wouldn't like the show, and that is why they made male Marvel fans the villains of the show to start with. The problem for me was that someone at Disney saw this happening, and then gave the greenlight for it to go ahead apparently thinking it was a good idea. So I took them seriously when they basically told me that if I didn't like it then I shouldn't watch it, although I'm a Marvel fan so I did watch She-Hulk before I canceled Disney+, I just wanted to verify that I was right about what happened and the entire time I was just hoping for some type of twist that would change everything. It never happened and I decided that if Disney hated me as a male Marvel fan that I really don't need to be supporting people that hate me.
Since then I've still watched some Disney movies that have come out, but the Disney name being attached to it is a negative. It used to be that when I saw something was made by Disney I was excited to go see it, I remember being really happy when they bought the rights to Star Wars, now it always makes me second guess whether I even want to go see the movie at all.

The original trilogy (episode 4-6) with Mark Hamill should never have been expanded on. It was beautiful. Even episodes 1-3 were not interesting. And everything after has been abysmal.

STAR WARS by **not** STAR WARS fans, **not** for STAR WARS fans, wasn't liked very much by STAR WARS fans? Inconceivable!
I watched the original trilogy, it was cool because it was fresh but this wore off pretty fast, there are movies I can rewatch a thousand times, the original Star Wars trilogy isn't one of those. Then I watched Episode 1, the podracing part and some character were quite fun but overall it was just mid, also not rewatchable. Episode 2, I started to sleep in the theater 30 minutes in, there was a ruckus, I woke up and I thought it was because of me snoring loudly ... it was someone else. Never touched Episode 3 and anything else from the Star Wars franchise afterwards.
I'd rather watch Spaceballs again, which I've done several time and would do again and even Pince Valium has more depth to his character than most of the Star Wars characters anyway. I can not imagine being a fanatic over the Star Wars franchise, makes me question humanity.

They can't have you punished if you are criticizing a tv show, so they have to label you with extreme intent even if it's a complete lie. Saying you are protecting minorities is a very effective shield against people calling you out for your actions, but thankfully that shield is starting to rust and crumble.
These children are literally incapable of seeing that any opinion could exist between hate and fawning worship. In the end, it's just about them and their desperate need to have what they like, and hence their own selves, validated by some outside entity. They are hollow, sad, and ironically hateful people.

Calling a show shit and demonstrating why is neither racism, sexism, bigotry or harassment. It is consumer information, and the insane attempts to silence critics by people blatantly pushing politics into our entertainment spaces is quite frankly dystopian. It is hypocritical at best and blatant propaganda at worst.

Well I'd argue that to some degree all entertainment has always had some degree of political aspects to it. It is made by people and their thoughts, beliefs and ideals tend to show up to varying degrees. That said, when politics is the main point of a piece of media (as is the case with the show) it is no longer entertainment, just propaganda.

A show can be influenced by cultural norms, personalities and biases for storytelling, but depicting a situation or setting in a story is not the same as taking a stance for or against what is depicted. A story can have morals and teach life lessons, but I'd hardly say that "smile and the world smiles back at you" or "be brave and help those in need" constitutes a political viewpoint or ideology unless you're of the opinion that "everything is politics", in which case we'll have to start a conversation about degrees of politicism and we'd be here until next month.
A hero saving a damsel in distress is a cliché and a trope, but that doesn't mean it's intended as messaging to tell women to take cooking and sowing classes and marry a businessman at 18 "like a good little housewife should". Instead, those stories were always meant to inspire heroism in people, and I refuse to buy the bigoted apartheid argument that a story needs to "represent" someone for them to be able to relate to it, as if we can't relate to- or feel inspired by characters which don't look exactly like us. The fact that society 100 years ago expected different things from men and women than they do today doesn't mean the stories written during those days take an active stance for or against the norms at the time. They might have influenced the work, but as long as it's not an instruction manual for how to be a good housewife or a dutiful husband then I really believe the accusations of politicism are grossly exaggerated.
The difference between the older stories and what Hollywood has pumped out for the past decade is that Hollywood is expressly and one-sidedly pushing hypocritical American socio-political viewpoints with their stories and is using it as a marketing tool, both to try and sell more tickets as well as to try and silence critics.

I do find it funny some of these actresses will talk about black power and be anti-white, while also seemingly using filters and lighting to make their skin look as light as possible.

UA-cam "shadow deletes" comments too, so unless someone likes or replies to your comment that's pretty much the only surefire way to know it has been posted. If that happens it will always show up as posted when you view it from your own account, but if you try to view it from an incognito tab you won't be able to find it (and nobody else will either).

Not particularly, while it's not a particularly good indicator for their character the bigger issue is that the significance of the things that are written on the internet has been blown entirely out of proportion.
Now this is directly related to the rise of social media and the tying of the concept of "self" to the previously disconnected internet persona and quite honestly I can say that both of these have been to the overall detriment to us as a species.
Bring back the anonymity of the internet and you not only (albeit eventually) solve this problem but you throw a massive roadblock in the, imho, even larger problem of the increasing corporatism of the internet and the increasingly insipid quest for any ounce of personal data that be wrung out of you for the sake of marketing and the cherry picking of said data to produce askew statistics.
And far, far, FAR more egregious than any of that, it's actively being utilised to erode the rights of people across the entirety of western democracy, just look at the policies and powers that have been routinely snuck into proposed and passed laws to govern safety on the internet.
It is an absolute ruse to make people fearful enough to willingly sign away their liberty for the illusion of security and it is only going to end up with an ever increasing degree of authoritative policy and eventually totalitarianism.

These are some dark times being a nerd. The only thing we had to worry about in the 80's and 90's was being bullied by that one strong kid in the school playground. 2000, was almost a Golden Age for Nerdom, where being a nerd meant being cool or "financially secure." Today, it's reaching D-threats, calling others bigots, -ists, -isms, and more. Heck, even the term "nerd" is a somewhat archaic term today for some reason. I used to love SW in general, but slowly lost interest in Disney SW, and the audience has been shrinking rapidly too, along with the SW toys rotting on the store shelves. What's left is a very toxic community (fans, actors, staff, etc) of genuine hatred or pure apathy. It's crazy that when a New Hope came out, it was strictly for entertainment, did so amazingly well, but wasn't some giant political/social battleground either.
I'm happy that YT is honoring free-speech, but I just hope Disney sells off SW. It's just a show. Nothing more, nothing less.

Same with Disney that it may be just called "Disney EU" in the future, assuming when Disney sells it. In fact, when they have booksellers marketing older SW books, some purposely market them as "No Legends Label" SW books because the sellers know there is a higher demand for non-Disney (reference) label books. I think UA-cam looked at the evidence video and said: the evidence video didn't break ToS. My read is that they didn't evaluate the actual claims at all.
