Great video and very helpful. What would you recommend for someone riding a larger bike (Africa Twin 1100) with pillion and panniers on each side? From the video the lanes look very narrow and there doesn't seem to be enough room for a large bike with panniers. Would the Tuas crossing be easier for larger bikes or is that just as difficult? Thanks
For wider bikes, Tuas crossing will be easier. The lanes there are just wider (you can check out our Tuas Link video here - ua-cam.com/video/D_cLck4oArM/v-deo.htmlsi=arLkpWJ75wQD2Avd) If really wanna go thru woodlands, there's only 2 options (or 3, but u wouldn't want to use the 3rd option) 1) Got to the Manual Lane (usually the 1st lane or during Peak Hours the Car Lanes) 2) Go to the last lane and position yourself slightly more the the right (as there no wall on the right side) 3) Dismount panniers and put them 1 side, scan and finger print, ride over the gantry, then walk back to collect your panniers to install them back to your bike
No need for all bikes. There will be a bike (by-pass) lane at the toll, just use that (you can check out our tuas link boarder crossing video which is coming soon). The only time you need 'touch and go' is during parking in malls (some accept visa/master now).
Even the so called 'wider' 1st & last lane is nightmare for big bikes. I tried my luck once, had to tilt my bike 1 side to clear gantry & ended with a scratch on my hand guard 😞
I usually use the same way as heading to the B point petrol stations. Then take the left lane down the bridge and do a right turn. Best is to use Waze or Gmap for the 1st few times, you will more or less get familiar with the area pretty soon.
Hi, do you think for a new biker with a 2b bike 125cc , riding from SG to KL would be okay? Plan to do a trip to KL once borders are re-open :D Would appreciate some tips, thanks and great video
@Kiran Raj. It's definitely doable. Check out our video - ua-cam.com/video/mOuWpUOLtHo/v-deo.html Things that you might need to take note is that the roads in KL is quite confusing. Ensure you always have enough juices in both your phone/gps and bike ☺. Share with us your exp after you are back. We are waiting for the boarder opeing too.
@@smartseng3210 green is for the rider , yellow is for the pillion. if i remember correctly, the yellow screen will only activate after the rider slot in his/her passport.
Realistically within 20min (if we enter and exit back immediately without any errand done + during super off-peak hours like 2 to 4pm or 1 to 5am). This video is edited to keep the boring part out thus it's around 12min long.
@@sharkkk8453 once u exit the shell station, u can stay right on the left lane(away from the flyover). U will see a U-turn under the flyover. Do the U-turn and u will see big big sign say to "Woodlands" The one show in this video is another way
You could have just U-turn at the junction ahead after pumping petrol at shell. Much faster going back to customs. Overall great vid 👍
the "U-turn" under the flyover?
I shall give it a shot after the boarder reopen.
@@zwc888 any new updated video ?
@@sharkkk8453 nope. Everything is almost similar except a thumbprint process on Malaysia side
Ok is there a video guide from the petrol kiosk back to sg? Any particular timing to avoid when entering and exiting JB to avoid the traffic?
@@sharkkk8453 this video shows the full process go in + come out. Avoid 7 to 10am and 6 to 10pm (the cross border worker rush)
Thank you for your recording.
I’ve been living overseas for many years and this video is very good refreshing for me.
such an amazing video, dude singlehandedly helped so many riders' dream to cross the borders. tysm!
Informative video. The last I rode into JB was via the old Woodlands checkpoint.
I randomly came across this video, and wow, I finally got to see how the motorcycle custom clearance looks like 😁
Thank you so much for the useful and detailed video recording. Good for the new riders like me.
Glad it was helpful!
man i was searching for this and thank god someone made a video for this thanks dude!!
Thank you for this! Very informative
Hi bro this was very helpful thank you
hey bro, really enjoy your video. getting my class 2a soon and hoping to ride in to relax! You got join any meetups?
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my videos.
Nice. All the best to your 2A TP 👍.
Nope, I never join any meetup. Usually do solo or with a friend or 2.

thank you its very informative been thinking to ride over to jb
Thank you, just do it and have fun 🙂
all the lanes seems narrow. seems like you dont have a lot of clearance if you use side panniers
Bicycle can go through the same way as motorbike?
Yes, bicycle uses the same way as motorcycle
Great informative video bro! Hope once covid is over we can ride in together some day.
sure thing Mike
Excellent video! Thanks for this 👍🏽 Any tips for a motorcycle ride to Genting? 😁
Ride slow and safe for the 1st time. The area has a high accident rate (truck turnover, car skid etc).
Hey do we need to pay toll for bikes? (Touch and go)

Will they check the fuel when u go? My fuel guage is spoil
For bikes, no. For cars, random check
Thanks for sharing...
Bpoint I missed you 😔
Hey bro, for automated lanes, how can the pillion scan their passports?
rider insert the passport first, then the system will prompt for pillion (if any) to insert too
Tuan,di kastam singapore yang mana satu auto kaunter yang guna paspot dan thumbprint saja??
All auto counters use passport and thumbprint.
So lane 1 and last 2 lane is for big bikes?
You can say so.
Lane 1 is for big bikes.
The last 2 lanes are slightly wider, thus bigger bikes can pass thru with ease (excluding side panniers)
nice video and guide. thanks
How much need to pay for both custom? Cash Card for both Checkpoint?
Motorcycles are free of charge 👍.
I recall (if my memory didn't fail me) car will pay a few SG dollars in SG and RM20 ~ 30++ at MY.
For bigger bikes, entering via wdls checkpoint is there a specific lane only to enter?
Either lane 1 (Manual lane) or the last.
Even the so called 'wider' 1st & last lane is nightmare for big bikes. I tried my luck once, had to tilt my bike 1 side to clear gantry & ended with a scratch on my hand guard 😞

1:37 how the bicycle enter this lane without entering from BKE (which is illegal to ride on expressway)
Autopass is where to put? And when
You will only need autopass during parking your bike in shopping malls. Other than that motorcycle doesn't need to use autopass.
