To those preparing for implementation if you have a stat order or a PRN even if your scenario doesn't state a diagnosis related to that medication please ask the patient if he/she has any concerns. an example if you have paracetamol prescribed in PRN ask if they have pain, if you have diazepam prescribed in prn ask if they feel anxious, also if the duration is not indicated on the medication chart mention it to the assessor but proceed administering that medication. Goodluck to everyone preparing for their OSCE.
@workand wonder, please what code should one use when there is no route in the Prescription under regular medication. Should code 6 be documented at the last page showing omitted doses, or only drugs coded with code 10 should be documented at the back
-You can use code 6, prescription unclear - all medication coded should be written at the last page ,omitted doses, irrespective of the code you used .
