I understand why I really like your videos. Because you know how to get a very good shot, sir Sterling. Thanks for your video. Admiration from Philippines.
Dear Sterling this is my second round viewing your video and I naver got board of it. Seeing the majestic scenery of the back country. I had some experience of staying in several state in US when I was working for Hewlett Parckard. Most of the time I was in Palo Alto. Thanks for the video I relly enjoy it.
Awesome trip through Arizona. I'm glad you managed your trip during the onset of covid. Who would know we are this far down the road and still with covid-19 blah blah ! Your filmed trips have soothed my aching GS A heart. Gotta love the Beemers. 🍻 cheers
Another great video and inspiration for my next motorcycle road trip in the USA. I hope to have the honor of meeting you someday in October this year. 😊
I am truly enjoying these vids! Perfect slice when you don't have 30 mins to spend watching something. I was trying to pass through Monument Valley in August but it was closed. A great place to camp just past Black Bear (that is one of my personal favorites) is Valley of the Gods just past Mexican Hat. BTW, love your style with the box wine! Never thought of that. Rather warm wine than warm beer :)
I'm 66, and your videos inspire me to hold on to my dreams to do something similar, to start from Florida to ride the Continental divide into Canada and all of that type of adventure riding. Thanks for sharing your adventure riding.
It could end up to be the best decision you could ever make. Age does not matter jus be careful in the Continental Divide. There are some more difficult places. Have a fantastic trip. Cheers
Man you are amazing! Love your videos! In june this year I'm starting a roadtrip around the States, my plan is to cover 12 000 miles in 2 months. I'm Coming from Europe and I learned a lot about camping in the States watching your videos. Thanks!
I've been watching along since video 1 and this is great. I've pretty much ridden solo over the years so it's nice to see it from another riders perspective. I rode full dresser Harley's, then discovered the GSA from "Long Way Around", used my WR 250r to ride the TAT, but I'm now considering the KTM 390 or 790 bikes. The BMW was by far the best all around bike I've ever driven but at 54 years old I'm looking to go smaller and lighter because I find that's where I have the most fun and it protects some of those injuries that I can no longer ignore. cheers
Absolutely wonderful video. At some point in the not too distant future, I really need to visit the US, hire myself a bike and see some of these places with my own eyes.
Fantastic footage and great feeling of sharing your experiences. I came across your channel today and I have really enjoyed the videos so far. I love the big landscapes and how your centre on the adventure as the vehicle to take us all into your trip.
Delicious production Sterling! Enriched, entertaining, and well paced narrative! Your episodes unfold like that first cup of camping coffee hitting the soul in the early AM. In 2020 we did two New Mexico rides, one mostly pavement and one on the NMBDR. Your stories resonate with the emotion of travel by moto. Respect.
Stunning scenery, seeing this blanks out all the riots, coronavirus and political issues and just makes the US look so natural and amazing. I'm also very impressed in the boxed wine, well done good sir, well done indeed!
Nice videoing and drone shots. Enjoy and be safe. My wife and I stayed in that same sleepy campground. We came in after dark and awoke to that amazing scenery. Thanks for reminding me.
Great job on the series Sterling, really enjoying the footage and story. Been a couple of years since I was out on the road solo. Thanks for bringing us along
You are truly at filmography...perhaps the best in this genre...and really really good narration and editing too..love your videos. Yes I want to argue with you some times (like the 1250gs being the best...lol) and damn dude, don’t ever put your helmet on your mirror (although it’s so freakin convenient I know)...but you are the best at this from what I’ve watched...I mean you’re shots are breathtaking, I could only wish to capture that kind of footage...and you’re so likable too...I hope you get millions of views...thank you!!!
And I should proofread before hitting send...lol. Also, hammocks kinda suck out west...definitely a great thing east of the Mississippi....but out west...free standing tents...although when you get into the Rockies it might not be bad...
Did a solo ride out that way in October from Tenn and the nation was on lockdown in October, about ran out of gas but a gas station actually had 1 pump left on. Barely made it off the reservation. Sadly Monument Valley was shut down as well.
Videos are too short I have to get up walk over to TV and tap my I pad to change ,so I never watch videos that are less than 30 min or thereabouts. But I do enjoy your longer ones. Thanks for doing them very nice.
I look forward to hearing more about your choice of motorcycles. I went from a R 1200 GS to a F 850 GSA. It's funny how our needs and tastes change over time.
@@davereinhart9933 Sadly no "real" Lally's Loop this year. We were supposed to ride Southern Utah and Arizona, (some of the same areas Sterling is riding) but COVID cancelled those plans. Hoping next year we can try it again. I'll keep you informed. Such a small world that I know Tim.
I know those areas well. Not sure if you know this but camping is allowed in the Valley of Gods. It seemed like you were pretty close it. Also, use a carribeaner and clip your help using D-rings to hand guards, tank bag or tail bag. Just a thought. Fantastic ad always.
Your helmet issues seem to be because set it on top of the handlebars, regardless if the mirror is inside, I have had it happen several times to me as well. I now put it on the foot peg opposite of the kickstand. If it happens to drop, its only 6". Great video however!
I’m only 3 episodes in and I’m hooked I congratulate you on your dedication to film on your trip. Looking forward to see the rest I feel like I’m there in the trip with you! You are giving me the inspiration to try Moto camping and enjoy the outdoors more!
Wow! Love this can't wait to head out west with my Ural. Your right solo riding is the your own responsibility. I am glad to found this. Keep up the good work and be safe out there. And hope to see you on the road.
Ha! I camped there before. They didn't have the little camper back then. Some guy would come buy and shake your tent. Too bad you can't ride a motorcycle in the Monument Valley Park anymore. It was a yearly stop for me on the way to Moab or the western slope. It's their back forty so it their rules. For a decent placebo hit Valley of the Gods just past Mexican hat.
I started with the first episode might end up binge watching the entire series. Great content. Really liked the goal of the trip explained in the previous video 👍
I love this series, but the MSF Ridercoach in me cringe when the helmet fell off the bike, cracked, and was put back up so it could fall again. I always keep mine low down so that can’t happen.
Love the series so far. One question you haven't addressed yet is how you're charging all of your equipment. Are you charging through the bike? Are you using any kind of inverter? Thanks!
You are out there camping by yourself and I see no one around but you show a camping fee. Who do you pay the money to? Do you leave it under a rock, bush or put it in a box? Very beautiful scenery and peaceful riding solo. Thank you for sharing. Prayers for safe travels from Michigan
My bike adventure is to leave the city and end up in a commercial resort after 5 hrs of riding. I doubt I have enough balls to do this camping in the place I am in
Great video. Love the desert. Di you really have your hammock connected to your bike? How did you do it and does it work. We always have to tent camp out there. Thanks
Yes, I did connect it to my bike once or twice. It was precarious to say the least, and you really have to be make sure that the bike is solid. I wedged a log under the bike to make sure it did not tip over.

Wow. Beautiful country. The oranges and reds contrast with my home turf of the Pacific Northwest. Thanks!
What a great place to camp!! Wow, outstanding views. I would love it there.
Very impressive solo travel . Like your exspnations and respect for others.
Loved Monument Valley on a bike! Hunted down the road from Forrest Gump (I think I'm tired now). Amazing side roads. Loving your narration

Nice!!
I have got to get back down to that area. Last time I was there was in the mid 80s driving truck.
Thanks for cool video enjoyed you talkin about your motorcycles $20 seems like rip off for that campsite but anyway great video thanks
that early morning slight confusion, 😉.

Maybe show a map and mark on it where you started and where your going . It will give people a better idea where you are at in the world .

It was closed because of Covid. They take it very seriously on the reservations.
