- This is my first-ever SGC grading order. It was $15 a card and took 9 business days to get back (13 days door to door).

I'm not really looking to grading cards to sell only. I like having my cards graded as they all look better in slabs. PSA mainly just has the name and that translates to PSA returning higher sell values. With that said, i still send about 80% of my cards to SGC versus PSA. I dread sending to PSA because of the ridiculously long turnaround times. If you think SGC grades easier than PSA, then you have been misinformed. I wish "the hobby" would open their eyes, but too many long term people in the hobby have too much invested into PSA that they can't talk down upon them because it will affect their own collection. SGC has better prices, incredible turnaround times, top notch customer service, and much more consistent grading. They are much more stringent on their grading. For example, if a card is slightly off center, I'm sending to PSA because i know I'll get a higher grade. Only reason people like PSA is because of long time hobbyists being too invested in PSA. I just sent two orders to PSA and i dreaded every second of it.
Nice video. Give TAG a try especially for modern. I haven’t looked back. I can’t stand any of the other slabs in the market. IMO❤ keep it up
Great reveal with awesome cards!! My experience has been PSA is softer on their grades than SGC. I haven’t tested that but sent in to both and SGC seems to be more strict on the grades in my opinion
Thanks for watching! I’ve defused the opposite where SGC is pretty lenient on grades especially surface if it doesn’t affect eye appeal. They still grade correct/ tough on corners, edges center.
I’ve had a few PSA 8s that has an indent crossover to SGC 10s or 9.5. And a few SGC 9.5 that had scratches.
It’s just something I think about now when sending in to either or if I was thinking of buying a SGC 10 to crack and cross over.
I agree when you talked about pricing cards. I have like a month since I started in the sports card and I see that people cares more about if PSA than the actual card and the grading it got. SGC been doing a good job and PSA only got the name, that’s all. All grading companies are a joke. If the card looks great and it’s in awesome condition then should get the value it deserves.

The cards that your sending you need 10s to make any money
Correct, this was a random test order since it was my first time submitting with SGC. The current cards I have prepped that I believe will get 10s will be sent to PSA for now. SGC will be used for cards that I think will have a better chance of a higher score than if sent to PSA.
@@RawGradeFlip I still haven’t used csg I’m not a big fan how their slabs look but it is pretty cool you get your cards back in a week
