Adam...please use a torque wrench on your lug nuts. Impact wrenches are notorious for getting the nuts on way too tight. Drifting is hell on lug nuts so it's very important that they be tightened correctly. Too tight breaks them off. You'll see.
if youre not using a 1in drive impact youll be fine. if youre using a big milwaukie impact just dont sit there and rattle on it for ever a couple seconds of uggg ugga will do it fine
I've definitely been enjoying the daily videos, and definitely been enjoying seeing you get to ride everyday with everyone on the new ramp. I'm an automotive technician, mechanic, whathaveyou, and I've actually never heard of the sandpaper trick to get oil filters off, but I like it! Here's a trick for you. Take one of your old quart oil containers and cut the it in half so you have a top and a bottom. Throw away/recycle the bottom, and boom, you have the best funnel I have ever used. It usually stands up pretty well by itself so you don't have to hold it while you are pouring, and it doesn't back up or slow down the oil when you are pouring. The threads on the top from the cap actually help the oil go down faster.
SlyGamingHD I noticed the same, but wanted to point out that those containers are designed to pour with the opening up. that let's it pour without gurgling. just fyi
Adam- twice in a week you have replied to a comment iv made. this time I genuinely laughed. you're a good dude bro. I will be watching to make sure you lay it on the side next time...
Hey Adam don't know if you heard of doing this but for me it really helps, poring oil without a funnel if you put two fingers over the top of the oil bottle when it's open it helps when you start
Heyy adam! Quick tip, turn the bottle of oil when filling up. Do it so that the opening is at the top. It helps to get air in the bottle so it doesn't gush out as much but is more controlled. 👌🏻 love your channel. Keep it up!
Hey Adam! When pouring the oil into the car turn the bottle around so that the opening is up at the top, it makes the oil pour out smoothly and it flows out instead of having an unsteady stream! Its also easier to pour and less likely to spill! Have fun drifting!
Hey Adam, I've been a long time fan and I've always loved watching UA-cam vloggers and wanted to start myself, so I did and so far it's going great! I'm just over 2k subs and it's a dream so far! 😁
Hey Adam a trick when pouring oil into your motor. Flip the Bottle 180 degrees. Have the whole of the bottle on top when pouring. you wont get that chug when pouring it. Hope you read this it will help you keep your nice garage clean!!
Adam when your filling up your oil you can just flip the quart container upside down in the fill hole. The containers are designed that it wont flow out to quickly so you are able to do this. At least I am able to when I do an oil change on my truck.
Adam I don't know if you'll see this but just trying stupid stuff hasn't failed me yet so ya thanks for uploading a vids I've been really sad lately because my girl friend just dumped me and I have not been able to find away to make this day get better so just having to watch how happy you are has really helped me get away from the horrors of life for a little so thank you
Hey I've been a long time fan and I've always loved watching car youtubers like you and wanted to start myself, and so I did, I'm using an iPhone right now but have gained 30 subs and over 1000 views in the last 3 weeks. Thanks for the motivation!!!
I've been watching your videos for a few months and just realized i live like 5 min away from you anyway you're a great inspiration keep up the good work
Hey Adam at 5:45 in your video if you pour with the angle side down. it won't burp like it was and less of a mess. It lets the air flow one of the reasons the container is made like that. Love the videos keep up the good work
Hold the oil bottles horizontal when you pour, helps reduce the "glug, glug" as it's coming out of the bottle and I make much less of a mess pouring that way without a funnel.
Adam hold the oil bottle with a flat side down and it pour smoothly. I never use a funnel due to the fact that the oil doesn't "glug" when pouring that way. I use VR1 oil in my LS motors and they love it.
Sweet video, again. I love the super regular uploads. When pouring your new oil into the engine if you hold the bottle on its side you can make it pour more smoothly. It helps reduce spills.
see, the reason why i love your videos so much is because i dont really know shit about cars but watching your videos and taylors videos really helps me learn more about the car community and such :) thanks
Adam, just a quick tip: When pouring the quarts of oil, have the bottle upside down than the way you had it at 5:47. It lets the air travel to the top so it doesn't go glub glub glub, it pours smoothly. just a tip!
Hey Adam, If you hold the oil bottle the other way when you pour it(with the opening on the top) it is easier to pour. It wont chug as much and you will get a more even flow.
Turn the bottle around where the opening is on the top. The angle in the bottle helps you get closer to the motor and the oil moves out of the bottle at a slow pace so you don't spill oil everywhere and make a mess.
Adam pro tip for pouring oil or any fluid at an awkward angle or distance. Don't be tempted to pour it with the bottle how you do in the video, lay it flat, that way you won't get that glugging that always ends up going everywhere, instead you get a nice smooth pour.
A trick to help make less of a mess when pouring oil without a funnel. Pour with the neck to the top not the bottom. This will allow air to enter smoothly as the oil comes out and gurgle and splash the oil out.
adam, im sure you wont read this, but if you do, if you engine has that much shavings in it, i would try the following, drain old oil, place sump plug back in, then with the old oil filter in place, fill up the oil system with diesel fuel to the max mark on your dipstick(the engines dipstick), then start the engine up, and let it idle for a while, just a couple of minutes, the drain the diesel, and remove the filter. this helps to flush out most of the junk in the oil system, then continue with your oil change as usual.
Its good that you broke the combo, just because you need to do whats right for you. Also, if you pour something like new oil, tilt the canister sideways so that the flat sides are top and bottom when pouring. This way the air gets into the canister gets in a even flow and you don't get the gulps
Adam, when you pour oil in 1 quart bottles like that, flip it around so the opening is on the top. It won't glub/burp that way when pouring and makes it 100x easier! Sincerely, an auto tech.
Turning the oil bottle on its side to pour makes it sooo much easier to pour without spilling. Same goes for coolant and windshield washer fluid too. Hope this helps keep your next drive less stinky!
If you want to make less of a mess when pouring your oil, turn the bottle over. That way it won't "glug" and you'll get a steady stream of oil. You can also do it with the bottle on its side. The key is to keep the opening on the upper half.
Small tip for pouring oil from the can. Tip the can on it's side and pour. The air will get into it much easier and the oil will "glug" less when you pour. That's what I do anyway and it helps.
Hey adam, Next time you pour oil, flip the bottle the other way so the spout is at the top. That way it won't chug and have the oil he un predictable and get all over your engine 👍keep up the awesome videos, man!
Pour the quart so the spout is at the top not the bottom. You'll have more control. It prevents the hole from getting completely blocked off with oil, allowing air to get in, and prevents glugging. They were designed this way.
When pouring oil flip the bottle, it won't chug and you can get the the opening closer to the full hole before it pours.Says it on the bottle for more clear instuctions.
tip for putting the oil in. if you don't have a funnel you can just cut the bottom off of an old oil quart and turn it upside down. or you can use the first one you put in. or you can wrap up a news paper and use that if you're really sketchy.
I second that Adam ! As a mountain biker riding everyday with one day off a week is tough on the body . That's why I take the one day or two days off a week
5:44 You aren't pouring it right! For bottles like that, you have to make sure to keep the nozzle on top (basically the opposite of how you were holding it), that should stop "glugging"
Just a tip, if you hold the oil bottle the other way up (when you hold it horizontally, the opening should be on the top instead of the bottom) when you pour it doesn't "cluck" and it's way easier to pour. It's seems unnatural since the opening is further away from the oil cap but try it, it's so much better. It works with all types of fluids that's in a container with the pipe on one end of the top. Shout out if you use it 😎
hello from the UK. literally love getting the notification everyday that you've uploaded. been Subscribed for ages now, watched every video twice 😂😂 my girlfriend is now hooked on your videos haha. keep doing what your doing bro and hope Nicole feels better soon. love you guys
Keep the videos coming we won't be to mad over one day without a video I jus kno it makes my day better seeing you having fun with life An your girl in all the videos An friends to your the man Adam shred on bro!!!!
Flip the quarts of oil around when you pour it. They're actually shaped that way so when you pour it when they're full it will pour out slower at first so you don't make such a mess.
Quick tip: if you turn the oil bottle horizontally, the oil will come out smoother and won't "glug" out. It gets rid of the air bubbles that will make the oil not just stream out.
Hey Adam when you put oil in without a funal turn it up side down you get more control of how much oil comes out try it, it makes things a little easier
Adam just a quick tip, next time if you wanna put oil in the engine flip the bottle over so you would be pouring it from the diagonal side and not the vertical side. i hope you understood that XD
A better way to pour your oil is to turn it upside down or opposite than you normally would where the angled part of the container is towards the ground instead of the cap part hope that helps with your problem
Adam, i love your videos man. They are the best thing, and the only reason i got a bmx and not a scooter. I had been riding scooters for a few years and quite liked riding them. Then, one day i stumbled upon one of your videos, i kept watching and watching. And watching. I thought "stuff it, im gonna get a bmx instead of a scooter." I only just started riding and im loving it already. I hope that one day i will be half as good as you man, your my inspiration. Keep up the good work man, keep the vids pumpin, lov ya man. Peace
Another trick for the oil filter is a piece of rope and a spanner. Put both ends of the rope through the looped part of the spanner. Oil filter goes inside the loop and then pull the rope tight by turning the spanner and keep turning. Do this left so you loosen it and not tighten it
Cars tend to move around when you let them down off the lifts because the of suspension compressing as you put weight on it. Trucks seem to be the worst. Its always a good idea to just glance under the car to make sure the lift pads are still safe before you lift the car up again.
Adam, open your old oil filter and show us how much metal shavings is inside. BTW, you shouldn't use an impact gun to tighten the lug nuts for two reasons: 1) Lug nuts should be tighten to a specific torque (usually about 120 Nm), 2) Aluminum lug nuts are prone to strip when overtightened.
I know you said you torque the wheels properly after, but you should only impact them to where they make contact. If you're holding them that long you're likely torquing more than what you need. Just a thought, looking forward to you LS swapping the 240, because 2JZ is for ladies!
I use to work for a gas station where we did oil changes and if you put oil on the oil filter gasket and you only put the filter on hand tight you don't have to use a tool to take it off it should still be hand tight
Adam you're pouring the oil in with the bottle upside down, you should have the indented part(towards the top of the bottle if that makes sense) at the bottom as you poor not facing up
Adam Lz you mentioned always making a mess when filling your oil try pouring the oil with the opening toward the top, it won't glug when pouring and you should have a much easier time not making a mess. :)

Adam LZ smart ass Adam 😆😂
that's not the point, the impact wrench will overtorque and even if you go back with a proper torque wrench they're already overtorqued.
Rick Noah

@Adam LZ, if you hold the oil bottle on the side you don't get the oil jumping out when its pouring as the air tries to escape.
When pouring oil flip the bottle, it won't chug and you can get the the opening closer to the full hole before it pours.Says it on the bottle for more clear instuctions.

Filling oil works better if you tilt the jug on it's side. Helps the air get in over the oil so it flows smoother :)
When you pour oil, turn the bottle where the spout is at the top. It won't gargle and spill as easily. You'll get a consistent smooth pour.

Dude you started spitting rhymes @7:01 😏🔥🔥🔥
Adam if you turn the oil can the other way around (spout on top) it doesn't glugg that much and is way easier to pour.
Anyone else crackin up at the compilation of Rob falling from the 450's LOL
Adam, if you pour oil (or anything) with holding the bottle from the other side it will flow 10x better
thanks for the daily uploads
5:49 turn the oil bottle over when you pour so the mouth of the bottle is closer to the oil opening!! @AdamLZ
Hey when you pour your oil flip the bottle around that slant in the neck makes it easier to pour

Adam, open your old oil filter and show us how much metal shavings is inside.
BTW, you shouldn't use an impact gun to tighten the lug nuts for two reasons:
1) Lug nuts should be tighten to a specific torque (usually about 120 Nm),
2) Aluminum lug nuts are prone to strip when overtightened.
Anybody else find it satisfying the way everytime Bert fell it made the same exact noise?
A good tip on pouring in new oil: Rotate the bottle on its side. This way the oil will flow at a steady pace without slushing back and forth.
You're doing great Adam! much love
Good luck at the event this afternoon Adam!
I know you said you torque the wheels properly after, but you should only impact them to where they make contact. If you're holding them that long you're likely torquing more than what you need. Just a thought, looking forward to you LS swapping the 240, because 2JZ is for ladies!

Adam I really love watching your videos.
Adam LZ. Hold your oil container sideways with the flat part facing down. That way the oil will pour smoothly.
Oil filter should always be able to be undone by hand. It doesn't need to be super tight because thermal expansion will make it tight.
Adam you're pouring the oil in with the bottle upside down, you should have the indented part(towards the top of the bottle if that makes sense) at the bottom as you poor not facing up
You need to tilt the oil bottle flat side when you pour the oil in so it pours out easier and more cleanly, trust me it makes it much easier
Adam Lz you mentioned always making a mess when filling your oil try pouring the oil with the opening toward the top, it won't glug when pouring and you should have a much easier time not making a mess. :)
