They can (attempt) to reboot "Match Game" for the next 100 years & NEVER get ANYWHERE near as entertaining as THIS!! I have SUCH admiration, appreciation and just plain LOVE for this show, stars( miss C.N.R. in past episodes)
Well said, I agree. It's the only game show that requires the contestants to become comedy writers for half an hour, and it's almost funnier when they screw it up. Totally unique. Although not very Woke...
H/H result: Spoiler alert... ... Brett scored her 8th H/H match today! (Sadly, it's another week with no one choosing Jo Ann Pflug...) Here's the updated leader board showing the 9 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: Orson - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 52.2% (12 wins in 23 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Fannie - 41.7% (5 wins in 12 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Richard - 31.2% (48 wins in 154 attempts). (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
He was a class act! -- I think it's cool that his kids and grand-kids can come here to see his reign as Match Game champion! (Plus the audience shots of his wife and mother-in-law yesterday.) What great memories for the whole family!
Well there was a short live game show with Bill Cullen that air April 21 to June 27, 1975 called Blankety Blanks. Although this show doesn't start airing for another 5 months on ABC.. ;0)
Yea he was as he matched 14, over half the time he matched and so far gave away the most money this week.. Funny how sometimes the guest/semi regulars are better than the regulars.. ;0) He matched 27 times in his two appearance this season out of 53 attempts.. ;0)
I've been watching these in order, and I remember Charlie was on in a prior week, but he didn't make much of an impression on me then. After this week though, I'm hoping he becomes a more regular fill-in! He's a good game player, and a great personality. He really fits in well with the show. This is also the second (at least) week for Richard Deacon. He's not the greatest game player, but something about him I like (maybe his droll sense of humor) and I would be glad to see him return in the future.
@@garfield2439 Why would ANYONE be a fan of saint Richard's? He's the only person on the panel who continuously LOSES for the contestant (and if you've been watching this show from the beginning, you KNOW that's true)!
I started watching What's My Line and To Tell The Truth for the first time a couple years ago. 2 years later, I FINALLY finished (boy were they LONG)! The top 5 game shows in order are: What's My Line To Tell the Truth Password Match Game Tattletales (but then again, I can't really decide which one I like more; the original Password or Match Game)
Susan gaye is the most beautiful woman who ever was on the program. I’m shocked that they didn’t mention her gorgeous looks on the program. Her voice is warm and so sexy. If I had met this woman then I would have rushed her over to the justice of the peace and treated her like gold.
Well that is 3 then this week.. ;0) Opps sorry 4, maybe Gene should visit her more often and say you don't dye your hair.. Seems to help her get the match.. ;0) Just kidding.. ;0) She matched 27 times so far this season.. ;0) Last season it was only 10, she is getting better.. ;0)
She isn’t a fool, I just don’t think she tries very hard to match, but she consistently doesn’t favor one contestant over the other, so it evens out. A lot of her humor reminds me of Monty Python.
I could not think of anything to go with taxi blank! Taxi cab is an excellent answer! I thought a fair, I thought of driver, different things that I never had kept pop into my head! LOL!
Thank you so very very much match game productions! For putting these videos up for us on our phone or computer or television. They are so wonderfully done and it’s so fun to watch them because there is no other game show that comes close to this! And nowadays, we have the worst game shows ever! And the new match game with Alec Baldwin is totally out of it! You don’t get one laugh whatsoever! I don’t even bother to record it at all
I like Charlie Brill's response to the audience Match of BLANK Blank. Spelled wrong (it's actually Mel Blanc), but it's nice that he's giving one of the best voice actors in the world a little recognition!
Kind of a slow week this week but Charlie won the week giving away 8,750 dollars in head to head and audience match matches with 17 matches for the semi regulars.. Brett won for the regulars giving away 5,500 dollars in head to head and audience match matches with 11 matches.. Richard Dawson gave away 250 dollars in an audience match match. ;0)
Got love the tech issues on this show, good thing this is the last taping for this weekend. I think.. ;0) hmm 3rd time he has gone right to the goodbye section of the program but you got to love Richard's answer of more time.. ;0)

That outfit would have worked okay with a vest that matched the pants. But if he wants matching pants, he should have bought a suit with two pairs. I wonder what disaster befell the original pants and why he couldn't have just worn something else when he discovered the problem. Even just leaving the vest off would have looked less lame.
Don't let this distract you from the the fact that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
I'm only slightly surprised Gene and the rest of the celebrity dingbats, not to mention the writers, didn't know that dinosaurs and humans did not coexist. The dinosaurs were long extinct by the time the first man came along. But they also thought penguins were present at the North Pole. And some of them were college graduates!
I have to disagree with this. He doesn't lose as often as you think he does. I'd say his win/lose ratio is pretty even. Everybody chooses him because he DOES give good answers, it's just that sometimes, and especially if it's something difficult like "Good BLANK," which can be ANYTHING, there's always a chance they're not on the same wavelength. But I still think he's annoying. EDIT: Oops! I stand corrected. I just checked the stats, and Richie-Poo wasn't as even as I thought, with 48 wins out of 154 attempts. But I do disagree that it's because he wasn't trying, or that he liked to lose (ever seen Family Feud? You notice how many pretty women contestants are on this show? No way in the world would Dickie Duck Lips pass up a chance to kiss as many pretty women as he can!)
