It's such a joy just to know that you guys are there living your lives the way you do. Your videos are so heart-warming. Thank you for sharing yourselves with the world. 🌟
I woke up at 4:30 am from some bad nightmares. Woke up to your morning show. It made me feel better. Thank you for being there. Thank you beautiful lady, and your happy dogs.
It's August 1, and I am marveling at the difference in our weather and climates. Here in central California, we're still over 100F. But today, I started seeds for my fall and winter garden, which feels like an appropriate activity for today. Meanwhile, the summer garden rages on -- a veritable jungle of tomatoes, beans, squash, corn, etc., etc., etc... Thank you, as always, for sharing with us.
Thank you. You remind us that it’s not about all or nothing, following the wheel doesn’t have to be difficult, we can take 5 minutes and light a candle. Thank you
Nicely said. That moment of candle lighting acting as a reset and refocus in the day which modern times/technology crams with so many flashy dstrations. Lovely.
Good day Terri ☀️☕️ In Portland Maine area as of yesterday to be with our children for a few days. Just now getting to Sunday video. Beautiful walk! Mother Earth providing🌱🌼. Thank you! Have a wonderful week🪻🐝
Interesting about the hawthorn berries being early. I keep saying the garden seems one month ahead here in the Midwest US. Love the rainy walk, Terri, one of my favorite things to do.
How beautiful to celebrate a “foster” mother. I did not know that about this day. I love these ritual tasks that tie us to all who came before us. These seemingly mundane plantings and harvests and herbs and milking and spinning, just make me feel surrounded by ancestors looking on and holding me up in my days. Your channel is wonderful, 🙏
Thanks Terri! Always enjoy you! Here in West Texas the days are still hotter than hell, but evening comes more quickly and the nights a tad bit cooler. I can feel Fall moving my direction and am so excited for it!!
Terri, everything is so beautiful! I will be giving thanks on August 1st. So much abundance for sure! Our season won't be changing for a couple of months yet, but I do love that feeling in the air when it does, as you mentioned. Have a wonderful time. Cynthia 🌿🌙💚
I am watching from northeast u.s. and was delighted to find we gave Meadowsweet in bloom here now. I will look to gathering a bit of it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the ancient traditions of Ireland.
It always a wise idea to assess your locality. I have hardly any plantain in my garden but there’s a local area where it’s really abundant and that’s good to know
Thank you both so much for walking us through your herbs and flowers. A suggestion that you could photograph those white flowers, roses and hydrangeas and your gorgeous dogs and sell them online. Your photography is magnificent. I adore seeing all the white, pinks and blues and purples. Gratitude to mother earth. Happy Lughnasa
The robin is making it's end of summer pip sounds - in June! I used to think oh back to school soon in the old days. Everything is racing without seeming to get past spring! Harvested and dried a lot of nettle seeds last week. My fingers tingled all night! LOL! Nice to see lots of colour in your garden - does brighten up the weather!
(aka: the vintage gypsy here. changed my channel name)I love how you connect us to the ancestors in this little way. Our blackberries have long gone now and it is almost 100 degrees! our Autumn here doesn't really start til the end of September but harvest will happen in a few weeks. our seasons here in TN have gotten a bit wonky the last few years.
Happy Lughnasadh! Autumn is my favorite time of year, I can already feel anticipation and excitement in the air. Your gardens are so lovely, I enjoy the walkabouts, naming the flowers that I recognize. Your hydrangeas are beautiful, and I love seeing the fuchsias that we only get to grow in hanging baskets in the summer here in the Midwest. With my limited space, I have so many plants that I bring inside just to feel that I'm still "in the garden" and I can perpetuate it and keep it alive year round. 😊
Happy Lughnasadh and blessings for the travels and sharing ahead. I so understand today’s need just to observe and become aware of what is around as the first harvest moon approaches. Here in Quebec we are at peak harvest for blueberries. The leaves are also medicinal. I was introduced to a secret patch of St. John’s Wort - will be able to tincture the root later in September. Also found abundant source of Century. Such a pretty plant! Enjoy the races!
Absolutely beautiful as always! And what a joy it is to vicariously enjoy your cool weather! I was stunned to see your blackberries still blooming. Our blackberries are ripe in May here in hot humid Georgia. The summers are tough with the intense heat and humidity in this semi-tropical climate. And our hurricane season is just starting. But nonetheless, we will be celebrating Lughnasadh and the hope of the coming glorious fall and cooler weather. Peace be with you friend. 💖🍀🥀🌻🦋🐝
Really enjoyed meandering around identifying plants and their benefits! Still hitting 90 F + here. Tuning into the change in seasons a good way to cope, ha ha! Peace.
Hi thank you! This is going to be my first Lughnasadh. I've always felt that August was like Autumn, towards the last half and beginning of September, it just felt right.
Happy Lughnasadh to you! I made bread this morning, enough for the week. I am dehydrating tomatoes right now so I will have tomato powder for the winter months. Next to dry is thyme. I went to the farmers market last week and got some greens so I will dry some of them and make a supergreens powder to add to my soups and stews. Going to the market again this weekend hoping to get some mushrooms. My herb garden is flourishing! Such a beautiful time of year! Blessings to you. Stay safe in your travels.
Hello to you both, lovely views as always the beauty of all that is abundance a plenty this year. We are fortunate to be able to share with each other learning so much through You Tube. for those like me who can't get to the events you mention it's wonderful. When there is nature in abundance and a unity ,caring nations with so much to share. Harmony. Hugs and Blessings for all that you both do.💚🌹
This is a peaceful 'good for the soul' video. I wish you and yours a blessed Lughnasadh. I too, will be lighting a candle. It's hard to believe the seasons are transitioning so quickly. Our kitchen garden is profuse with our favourite veggies. Our yard has yielded a bounty of medicinal and nutritional weeds. Sometimes we don't have to go any further than our own backyard for inspiration for our evening meal. By the way, now that I know what Prunella Vulgaris is, I see it all over my neighbourhood. Mother Nature surely does provide us with whatever we need. I'm looking forward to the video when you share memories of the upcoming Irish festivals. Perhaps your cousin will be there again. Blessings from ON Canada
My favorite season is Autumn 🌲 but where i live its very hot at the moment🤯 I must wait until mabon then the autumn starts here in northern italy. Your videos are so calming 😊 thank you
So excited for the start of autumn here in the southwestern USA ... It is green chili harvesting and roasting!!! A very tasty way to start the celebration!!! Many blessings on your path as you journey on ... Many blessings indeed❤
Thank you so much for the reminder! Living in Phoenix, we do not think about Autumn until the end of October. 😀 My Mother's side of my family came from Lyon, France. Lyon's original name was Lugdunon - or "hill fortress of Lugh".
Hello Terri! I'm comin to Ireland! August 5-15. Hearing you're going to be having a busy few weeks, it would be lovely to somehow meet you. I'm staying in Trim and then the Johnstown Estate. Happy Lughnasadh! 💚
You could come to the weekend workshop at Studio Feasa near Gort in Galway, 10th and 11th August. Contact Róisín at Studio Feasa to book your place xx see you then x
Thank you Terri, you live in a magical part of the world! This will be my fist Lughnasadh and I do plan to consciously take time out to celebrate this wonderful time of year. Thank you again for your inspiring videos. Have a wonderful Sunday!
The eight spokes of the "Wheel of the Year" are great times for people to reconnect with each other. Interestingly, the Dharmachakra has eight spokes as well. ❤
Did I briefly glimpse and Afghan poppy field section in your garden? That could be an interesting episode. I think I was out walking on that day also. Started out fairly nice and then every half an hour I got soaked , even when standing under thick trees for shelter as the trees were just getting saturated and it was dripping through. I was longing for a thick woolly jumper and and a big roaring open fire. Settled for just changing my soaked jeans when I got home. Thankfully we have had a couple of really nice days now with actual sun!
It is funny how we aspire to woolly jumpers and open fires as soon as the weather turns, even when it is too close for them but the last few days have been fantastic!! Dare I say, too hot?
Lovely time Fall, not quite there yet here in Michigan, but harvesting of hay, straw and wheat is going on. You are blessed to walk out your gate to walk in such a lovely area. Loved the horses, what fun. Your a busy gal but such results are wonderful. Feel for the people of Dublin and their troubles, disturbing. Take carexo
Nice to learn how to pronounce that word . You look lovely today. I hear the faint harmonica sound with the guitar .lovely music. I never knew what the name of meadowsweet was. Great videography.
That concept of only ‘taking what you need’ resonates with wild foragers. When I’m mushroom hunting, I always leave some mushrooms alone either for someone else to find or for the mushroom itself to mature and produce spores to reproduce for the next year.
Thank you I am a 5th generation Australian descended from Celtic people on the western side of the UK. I can trace my ancestry back to a warlord called Corc. By the time my mother was bestowed with it the name had become Cork.I have appreciated the world of herbs since the 1980s. I will check your lore.
That was so very interesting! I would have loved to be walking beside you with the dogs and as I can't be, living thousands of kilometres away in a very chilly Australia, this was the next best thing. Thank you Terri for pointing out the plants on your walk and yes, we should take time to say how grateful we are for the bounty we have! I hope that you have an opportunity to enjoy Lughasadh and thank you for sounding it out as I would have completely butchered the pronunciation myself! All the very best to you! From country NSW Australia.
Try and not be to distraught that we in Armagh just beat Galway in the All Ireland Final yesterday! I never have followed the sport so haven't much of any clue about it but I just noticed it was us V you folks in the final yesterday. Well done to the Armagh team in any case. Seems it was a bit of a fairly tail with the captain of the original winning team some 20 years ago now being the manager of yesterdays winning team.
Football or hurling? I watched Clare V Cork hurling last week after years of not seeing a match, (I am not sporty at all) and really really enjoyed it. So fast and exciting and nailbiting and no wusses falling down and crying every 5 mins! 😂 I am delighted for Armagh for you, they did well to beat Galway - I have to say that 😂 🙏
I have just sent off an email to someone in Ireland where I happened to mention Lughnasadh. Synchronicities abound! Many thanks again for all the beauty, wisdom and plant knowledge.
Thank you ♾️ for taking us on a lovely walk! Wonderful to see the dogs and so much beauty everywhere! Thank you for reminding me of the truth you shared at videos end 🩷🤗🩷🤗
❤ Thank you for the lovely video! Can you please do a video on Elecampane, when to harvest, how to use it, etc.? It took 2 years to finally bloom in my garden and I would love to use it wisely. Thank you! 😊
I live in an agricultural area in the Netherlands, also here everything is being harvest , big tractors 🚜 driving around 24/7. After that, harvest parties 🎉 loved the film , like always , have a great week , I hope Ireland also gets some summer next week ❤️🙏🏻
Terri does "radiate beauty", I concur. But even more so to me, Terri projects power. She is somewhat frightening. I can't get enough of her presentations. I am glad she continues giving.
Happy Lughnasadh! I love this time of year because Summer is losing her grip in the deep South of the US. Temps will be in the high 90s F next week, but days are growing shorter so there is a chance of relief in the evenings. Great time of year to plant the late summer garden and prepare for the fall garden planting.
Thanks for taking us along on your walk. I loved seeing the Hawthorn berries and Nettle, and the Hydrangea in front of your door is stunning! As always, I look forward to watching your videos. Have a great week.
I'm so happy I found your channel! A newer sub here and I love 💕 your style. I live in Michigan USA and noticed Autum colors early in July showing on Maple 🍁 trees and Burning bushes earlier than ever. Mizzle is a new vocabulary word for me now 😊. So grateful for you and your graciousness wih so much love for nature and mankind.💚🙏🕊️💚
Hello..very nice walk..yes I can see your getting nice and soaked there...but it's all with it...your garden looks very nice ...here it's still cold ...winter and lots of heavy winds...no rain.😊 Have a great festive time..
Good morning Terri! In Oklahoma we are starting back into the 100's. Our ground is cracking and I have noticed that fire blight is after many plants including my roses. August is usually our harshest summer month where plants need a lot of TLC. So seeing the flowers and abundance in Ireland right now is so refreshing. I also love the social interactions and celebrations in Ireland. You have a mist blessed week. Think I will have a second cup of coffee.
Sorry to hear about your roses and hope they will recover. August used to be hot here one time but not in the last few years. Lunasadh blessings to you and yours xx
dear Terri.....thank you for another great video.............................my few days in Dublin were great...............Blessings and Greetings from Daggy,Kiel,Germany☘☘☘xx
It's such a joy just to know that you guys are there living your lives the way you do. Your videos are so heart-warming. Thank you for sharing yourselves with the world. 🌟
So glad and happy to hear that you think the videos are heart warming, thank you! xx
I woke up at 4:30 am from some bad nightmares. Woke up to your morning show. It made me feel better. Thank you for being there. Thank you beautiful lady, and your happy dogs.
❤
Sorry to hear you were having nightmares. I think there is a lot of sun activity which can account for that. Glad you are feeling better now. xx
It's August 1, and I am marveling at the difference in our weather and climates. Here in central California, we're still over 100F. Blessings on your abundance, may it continue xx
You just radiate beauty! You, your home, your pups! All of this. Thank you!
Thank you Lori xx
Lovely.
Yes indeed. The sacred in the mundane xx
Good day Terri ☀️☕️
In Portland Maine area as of yesterday to be with our children for a few days. Just now getting to Sunday video. Beautiful walk! Mother Earth providing🌱🌼. Thank you! Have a wonderful week🪻🐝
Hello Barbara - I hope you are having a wonderful time with your children. Enjoy Portland, we were there once and really enjoyed our time xx
Thank you for another wonderful video! You’re right it’s not all or nothing. 💚🌱
You are so welcome! Xx
So beautiful! Your video came up when I was "Searching " for Lughnasadh 2024 and I'm so happy it did! Beautiful!
Welcome to the channel Lisa , glad you are here xx
Wonderful thank you. ❤ I feel so relaxed now.
So glad! Stay calm xx
Hi Terri, you get prettier every year. Your place is so beautiful. It gets more beautiful every year.🌹🌸🌷🌻🥀
Thanks so much Patsy xx
Happy Lughnasadh to all !
And to you too Cecile. xx
Interesting about the hawthorn berries being early. I keep saying the garden seems one month ahead here in the Midwest US. Love the rainy walk, Terri, one of my favorite things to do.
Love “mizzily walk” today ❣️. 🙏🏼♥️🌹
Very refreshing xx
How beautiful to celebrate a “foster” mother. I did not know that about this day. I love these ritual tasks that tie us to all who came before us. These seemingly mundane plantings and harvests and herbs and milking and spinning, just make me feel surrounded by ancestors looking on and holding me up in my days. Your channel is wonderful, 🙏
I agree - those things are so potent and help to ground and keep us connected to Nature xx
Thanks Terri! Always enjoy you! Here in West Texas the days are still hotter than hell, but evening comes more quickly and the nights a tad bit cooler. I can feel Fall moving my direction and am so excited for it!!
I would be too if I lived in thst heat xx
California's summer really peaks in late August with regard to weather, but my herbs demand harvest soon.
Terri, everything is so beautiful! I will be giving thanks on August 1st. So much abundance for sure! Our season won't be changing for a couple of months yet, but I do love that feeling in the air when it does, as you mentioned. Have a wonderful time. Cynthia 🌿🌙💚
Happy Lughnasadh to you Cynthia, many blessings on your abundance xx
Thank you Terri for your knowledge and wisdom. ❤
Glad it was helpful! Xx
I am watching from northeast u.s. and was delighted to find we gave Meadowsweet in bloom here now. I will look to gathering a bit of it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and the ancient traditions of Ireland.
Try as a tea, it is very pleasant xx
It always a wise idea to assess your locality. I have hardly any plantain in my garden but there’s a local area where it’s really abundant and that’s good to know
Very true! Xx

Same to you and enjoy all the abundance in life xx

Lol does filing and photography and we actually do have three sets of cards for sale in the shop on the website, www.danusirishhsrbgarden.com. Xx

Yes it does.. Old grass fading and yellowing so we need the colour of the flowers xx

That sounds lovely. We propogate Fuchsia here by putting a hard cutting straight into the ground - might work for you. xx

Hi thank you! This is going to be my first Lughnasadh. I've always felt that August was like Autumn, towards the last half and beginning of September, it just felt right.

Lovely x You cheered me.
You’re welcome 😊 glad to hear that xx
Thank you for another beautiful video! I love your background music!
Thanks! My husband composed and played the music xx
Glad to hear your garden is profuse with food and medicine - some good news! xx
My favorite season is Autumn 🌲 but where i live its very hot at the moment🤯

Nice to learn how to pronounce that word . You look lovely today. I hear the faint harmonica sound with the guitar .lovely music. I never knew what the name of meadowsweet was. Great videography.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the music, not sure what that instrument is called, it does sound a bit like a harmonica. xx
Good morning from the Arkansas Ozarks. Five more trees to plant this week.
You never stop Mary! Fair play to you, you won't regret it xx
That concept of only ‘taking what you need’ resonates with wild foragers. When I’m mushroom hunting, I always leave some mushrooms alone either for someone else to find or for the mushroom itself to mature and produce spores to reproduce for the next year.
Great to hear that - it is vital that people remember that xx
I wish i could of been there to celebrate together! But i will engage in spirit 😊
I will think of you of Thursday next. xx

Thank you so much, you are so kind xx
I have just sent off an email to someone in Ireland where I happened to mention Lughnasadh. Synchronicities abound!
Many thanks again for all the beauty, wisdom and plant knowledge.
Just lately I am hearing a lot about synchronicities - I think it is fascinating xx
Thank you ♾️ for taking us on a lovely walk! Wonderful to see the dogs and so much beauty everywhere! Thank you for reminding me of the truth you shared at videos end 🩷🤗🩷🤗
You're welcome, it is true xx
I hope you will show us the horse racing on the beach? It sounds like fun!
I will try to get there - it is fun when you are there xx
❤ Thank you for the lovely video! Can you please do a video on Elecampane, when to harvest, how to use it, etc.? It took 2 years to finally bloom in my garden and I would love to use it wisely. Thank you! 😊
I might well do that - mine is coming up for harvest. xx
I live in an agricultural area in the Netherlands, also here everything is being harvest , big tractors 🚜 driving around 24/7. After that, harvest parties 🎉 loved the film , like always , have a great week , I hope Ireland also gets some summer next week ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you - we have just had a couple of days of sunshine so hopefully there will be a few more xx

Lovely video Terri, really hoping to make it to Carlow on Friday
Would love to see you Mick but my talk is all sold out, unless you have a ticket already.🙏 xx hope all is well with you xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden ah well another time Terri xx
Terri does "radiate beauty", I concur. But even more so to me, Terri projects power. She is somewhat frightening. I can't get enough of her presentations. I am glad she continues giving.
Thank you😊 soft warm Irish rain oh how l miss you down here in Spain 🥵🥵
Oh wow! I can imagine. I would be wilting! 😂 xx
❤️
Happy Lughnasadh! I love this time of year because Summer is losing her grip in the deep South of the US. Temps will be in the high 90s F next week, but days are growing shorter so there is a chance of relief in the evenings. Great time of year to plant the late summer garden and prepare for the fall garden planting.
Yep, it is always busy!😂
So envious of your fuchsia's ,normally not a shrub that does well here too dry and hot ,but this year (thanks to the rain) we have flowers 🥰 xx
Lovely. I just heard recently that you can eat the flowers - they are quite tasty! xx
Thanks for taking us along on your walk. I loved seeing the Hawthorn berries and Nettle, and the Hydrangea in front of your door is stunning! As always, I look forward to watching your videos. Have a great week.
Glad you enjoyed it and hope your week is great too xx
I'm so happy I found your channel! A newer sub here and I love 💕 your style. I live in Michigan USA and noticed Autum colors early in July showing on Maple 🍁 trees and Burning bushes earlier than ever. Mizzle is a new vocabulary word for me now 😊. So grateful for you and your graciousness wih so much love for nature and mankind.💚🙏🕊️💚
Welcome to the channel and thanks for subscribing. I hope you find the channel helpful xx
So much beauty you live with! Would enjoy very much to ride or race with the horses on the beach 🎉❤
Thank you both for every new film.
You are so welcome. I will make a film of riding on the beac, some time xx
Hello..very nice walk..yes I can see your getting nice and soaked there...but it's all with it...your garden looks very nice ...here it's still cold ...winter and lots of heavy winds...no rain.😊
Have a great festive time..
Thank you - you too and keep warm xx
Thank you, Terri! We're in fire season over here. Really awful, however, makes for amazing orange moonscape. xxoo
Be careful and stay safe. Hope there is not too much smoke xx
Mizzel...wonderful :-) Your garden is glorious Terri, thank you so much for sharing your light. Be well (and dry).
Aw, you are so kind xx
Good morning Terri! In Oklahoma we are starting back into the 100's. Our ground is cracking and I have noticed that fire blight is after many plants including my roses. August is usually our harshest summer month where plants need a lot of TLC. So seeing the flowers and abundance in Ireland right now is so refreshing. I also love the social interactions
and celebrations in Ireland. You have a mist blessed week. Think I will have a second cup of coffee.
Sorry to hear about your roses and hope they will recover. August used to be hot here one time but not in the last few years. Lunasadh blessings to you and yours xx
@@DanusIrishHerbGarden My dear sweet Thomas I told you about last week passed on Friday. They take a piece of you with them.
Late summer, early autumn is a wonderful time for the year. Thank you Terri! 😊❤️
I think so too. Always feels like a new year or a new start to me. xx

Can't believe they have been and gone! Hope you had a great time xx
I'm jealous for your rain, lol. It will rain in my city the next couple of days, but by next weekend it'll be hot again. 96 for next Sunday!
I think after this summer I have acclimatised to low temperatures xx
