Very good! I wil try. Thank you.
I would love to control my account unit via a esp8266 with an ir blaster with Alexa integration. Much appreciated if you can guide me
Will The Same process work if Sonoff is Flashed with TASMOTO? Please guide
Superb sir.
thank you so much .
please make a video on alexa and hassio integration using wemo spoof.
Does the 3-way switch of tutorial #18 work with this system?
Next version will work. stay tuned.
Really cool sir,
Possible that we can see the control the multiple boards from one node-mcu or Raspberry pi 3.
Yes, watch the following tutorial.
ua-cam.com/video/bOEjngPAVSc/v-deo.html
could i use an ESP8266 module instead of sonoff with the same code and different relay pin? Also would love to know how to integrate 3-way switching into that code to use all this with home assistant?! love your videos mate!!
Yes
Can it be also control with existing wall light switch.
Not with this module. You need a module with 3 pole relay.
I have to create a different sketch (name of the device) for every sonoff??
IT needs to be unique on your network, otherwise it will not work. You don't have to hardcore the name into the device.
You can give it a unique name during setup.
hi, netmedias...I have seen your all most all video and i like it very much. with your tutorial i am going to do my own home automation project.
thanks.
I Have one equerry to ask you. Can we add external home switch to sonoff after flash sketch. like use it 2 ways one is sonoff and second one is home physical on-off switch.
Thanks again.
Ashish Chauhan Yes, you can watch my following tutorial. To install a physical switch you nee to access the GPIO. You can see how I did that in temperature and humidity tutorial. Good Luck.

Thank you so much for reply..I have seen both video but which sketch should i flash in my sonoff among the this two sketch which mentioned in video? and is I have to do any modification in sketch?
Aslamoalikum sir can we make 4ch sonoff wit this totourial @Netmedias
It is on my list thank you
I this this is not working for Home Assistant Core 0.105.2 on February 2020
Sir can you please share the code for sonoff 4 channel pro?
Please stay tuned for the custom firmware for sonoff 4 ch pro. Tutorial is coming soon.
Please and please I watch all the video. But I didn’t find one with home security sensors motion sensor etc...to NodeMCU with Pi3/home assistant. It would be nice to have Alexa tell me if the door is open or camera motion etc.. that’s a great project. Thanks again for videos.
ssinseeme b It is in progress. Stay tuned.
Great, that will be an awesome project. Thanks.
I don’t think it will be doable with echo. You can now push a query to echo for notifications but it won’t announce it until you wake up the echo.
Hope make with multi GPIO output.
Sure, Thanks
After connecting to my wifi i get the following in my serial monitor :
INFO: Attempting MQTT connection...
ERROR: failed, rc=-2DEBUG: try again in 5 seconds
i have the same code flashed on to my nodeMCU and Home Assistant is configured as displayed in the video, help..
I got the above error sorted but now the relay is not being toggled although the switch toggle's both via alexa and google home but the relay doesn't turn on or off, i tried changing different pin numbers but the result is the same. I even tried using a led but the result was the same.
John Wick you are unable to connect to the service due to the network issud. Make sure you are connected to wifi successfully.
MQTT connection is successful but the only issue now is that when i toggle the switch on or off via home assistant or alexa the relay/led doesn't turn on or off. I am using a nodemcu and tried different pins but the result was same.
What do you see in Arduino serial window?
The serial windows says "Got turn on/off request" , but the relay doesn't turn on or off.
You did not install the mqtt on hassio
John Kinder It is embedded and you need to update the config to enable it. I am showing that in video.
Netmedias i just did not see in your video that you add the mosquitto plugin
John Kinder you just need to add "mqtt:" in config to enable it. No need the to install the add-on component. You can do that but why do extra work.
Netmedias cool
Why don’t you use ifttt to control lights using voice commands.
It will do the job for free and you won’t need to do this much work
You miss the point.I don't want to lose control if internet or Amazon or google cloud service is down.
This can work with or without Internet? I mean can we control devices in Home using Home assitant App when we are away ??
Netmedias Don’t u need internet connection to make this work?
biggest flaw. If your wifi goes down, so does whatever you're controlling. it needs some sort of hardware backup
You are right, It will also not work if you lose power or internet.
why not install alexa app in raspberry, save ure money. just buy cheap mic and speaker.
