I mean imagine him looking at his own new body. I'd be pissed too. The writer should've left at least some characters untouched and able to transform, starting with cheetor transmetal 2, black arachnia transmetal (2?) and of course silverbolt as he was in BW
@bassistmau To be fair, Silverbolt presumably lost his body when Megatron took his, Waspinator's, and Rhinox's sparks. Yeah, it should have been written better, but I guess they were trying to give stakes to Silverbolt either returning or not. Plus, that body was Jetstorm's.
"Dark poison of my heart." "There's only one transformer who could say something that corny with a straight face." Beast wars: "Dark poison of my heart, abide with me a while." "You got a way with words, Rover."
That's the only thing? Another thing I didn't like was how some of them acted far against their characters from Beast Wars. Like Silverbolt for the most part and Rinox.
Honestly, i feel like the Beast Machines franchise was an attempt to design detailed Transformers with fewer moving parts without being a brick. Hence why Optimus Primal transforms from an ape to an ape with a more upright posture.
I liked Jetstorm's personality. I didn't mind the darker story tone and the maximals being the underdogs, but the animation in Beast Wars was much better than in Beast Machines.
Rynnec Zuhac If they kept Silverbolt’s old personality as well as Jetstorm’s body, I’d be sold. They could use it as an advantage against Megatron, like maybe Silverbolt would have enough bio-whatever to prevent Megatron from controlling him, yet still be a machine (and maybe control some drones of his own). It’d also serve as a flipped version of Botanica who was mostly biological iirc. They could even give him a paint scheme reminiscent of his Fuzor form to sell toys; I know I’d buy that!
I was thinking of having Jetstorm and Silverbolt be split into separate physical beings, but the longer they stay separated the more their sparks start to give out due to being "incomplete". This would lead to a mini-arc where Jetstorm tries to merge with Silverbolt with him as the dominate personality, eventually culminating in Silverbolt winning the merger and getting a new body that's more accurate to Jetstorm's toy, but with Silverbolt's colouring.
I would’ve loved to see an episode about waspinator crashing onto cybertron and meeting up with the maximals and begging them not to blow him up. Like the old days, eventually the maximals decided to make waspinator into a temporary maximal until the war between them and megaton is over. Then at the end, waspinator would do something that ends up getting him explode.
i honestly think that the reason he's like this is because he's no longer a fusor, like the wolf and eagle parts of him where both noble creatures which helped his more knight like traits, now he's more a vulture or some kind of bird of prey, kinda taking away his more noble traits, and thus turns more angry and reveling in his fighting.
Personally, I think his original personality shining through when he got briefly splashed was the Vehicon shell program and "Jetstorm" programming just shutting down entirely, leaving Silverbolt to rise to the surface. But, Silverbolt himself hadn't been awake and aware, so he just flashed back to himself. But once he reformatted, he retained Jetstorm's memories, since they weren't "shut down" or removed or anything like they were with the goop. The Vehicon programming, the artificial Jetstorm personality removed, all of it - but he kept the memories, and that's the part that haunts Silverbolt. He isn't able to separate his true self from what he did as Jetstorm, and how he behaved and felt. The idea that... *that* might be a part of who he truly is underneath the Shining Knight persona he put up simply *destroys* him on an emotional level, and shatters that very Knightly persona, leaving him dark, brooding, and with a heavy dose of self-loathing. He's an angry person now because he's angry at who he now perceives himself to be, and so he lashes out at everyone and everything. Once all the threat is over and Cybertron is reformatted, Silverbolt may slap on the old corndog tones, but I don't believe for a second that he's magically all better. All that isn't going away any time soon.
Bunny Speed Sorry. But, I disagree. While the Tankor and Jetstorm toys were pretty awsome, they did not match their CGI counterparts alot. The toys were out of scale as well. Nightscream, Rattrap Cheetor and Jetstorm freaking huge while Silverbolt, Noble, Obsidian, Megatron, Strika and Tankor were tiny. Blackarachnia, Thrust and Optimus Primal were about the right size. Botanica did not even get a toy! Some toys are fine. Most just don't repusent their show counterparts. It was a let down from how Beast Wars was able to do it well.
Bunny Speed no in this case the toys sucked. They had no movement and many didn't match the show. The other issue was their scaling. They all should of been the same size scale wise
I think I read somewhere in an interview with the creators that they deliberately moved his character from the western “knight in shining armour” archetype to an eastern “samurai warrior”. Both are honourable, but in different ways.
@@Skippy196 Not only that but the writers were forbidden to watch the original Beast Wars, and had to follow a very ideological producer's ideas for the series. In the end he wound up becoming what Japanese fans thought Tigatron was: a disillusioned warrior whose morals were not being given consideration, and who doesn't seem to have a desire for romance, (except they don't hide the fact that his partner is a woman, who went from being fiercely independent to obsessively depressed).
I didn't care at all for Silverbolt's personality once Jetstorm was finally erased for good. Without the characteristics of love and nobility to him, he just wasn't the Silverbolt we once knew. It often made me consider the idea of having a scenario where Waspy could've been brought back and Jetstorm remained as he was, regardless of the fact Blackarachnia wanted nothing to do with him.
I feel the same with how they changed Optimus' character in this series. It was kind of lame he wasn't the general/explorer guy anymore and turned into machine jesus. They also made Blackarachnia way too obsessed with Silverbolt. It makes sense but, it was a bit over the top.
Idk, I kinda liked the personality change when I was little. He was the first guy to make me understand how people truly worked, if that makes sense. When he "came back" once, he had no idea what was going on and he just felt happy to see Blackarachnia again. The reason he went this way is because he's forced to remember what he did. It's like a blackout drunk waking up realizing "oh no I spent 700 bucks on something pointless".
@@jayjay86443 It's not the same though. Jetstorm was a shell program that suppressed Silverbolt's personality so really he has no reason to feel as he did because that wasn't really him much like how Rhinox wasn't himself even if the show tried to say otherwise. If I were on Cybertron, I would explain completely to Waspinator and Silverbolt of what Megatron did, which involves an army of drones that they should control and more importantly side with what's left of Blaclarachnia's Maximal friends, search for Rhinox, help a misunderstood friend named Noble, teach both the new recruits Nightscream and Botanica and focus stopping the Predacon leader in order to save their home planet. Then they will both say "we would", and Waspinator would say "Waspinator sick of working for Megatron anyway."

BM Silverbolt seems more like Dinobot to me. It's like the writers missed writing Dinobot, but couldn't find a way to bring him back into the show, so they just had one of the other characters act like him instead.
An inverted form of Dinobot, if you will. See, Dinobot had "honor". Silverbolt here doesn't anymore. He's dead inside while Dinobot to the very end held onto his beliefs. Even as Dinobot 2, he had an ounce of honor left within. It just took Rampage dying to awaken it. Meanwhile, Silverbolt got brainwashed, but when the green syrup hit him, it made him realize what he's doing as Jetstorm, yet he has no control of it until he's an eagle. TLDR, Dinobot fought to be himself...while Silverbolt lost himself.
I missed Silverbolt's Winged Wolf 🐺 🪽 Fuzor form from Beast Wars. However, when he became between Jetstorm (jet-plane) and then a Condor (bird), things went different.😔
The designs and overall look of this was a disappointment for me. I give them props for trying something outside the box, but it just didn't work for me. There were for sure things that I liked about the show. Just didn't hit like Beast Wars.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Yeah, I liked the vehicle modes. I really wasn't a fan of the new beast forms, transformations, robot modes for the Maximals. They were so weird lol.
1) 2:05: "Dark poison of my heart!" Me: Oh, brother.... I need a girlfriend....😑 2) If only Samurai Silverbolt had a Katana, or at least some sort of Blade to fit with the whole motif. 3) I kinda wish that Jetstorm still stuck around in some form. Imagine if he was still sentient inside Silverbolt's head and fought for control over the body. Or maybe they could have cooperated in some way. That would have been both interesting and cool.
So fun fact apparently at 0:23 you can just barely see pupils on Silverbolt's eyes the only other time they appear is when Blackarachnia first gets the vision of Silverbolt. Apparently the animators slipped them in but only in the 2 segments and not the rest.
Anyone else ever pick up on the writers clearly "borrowing" the plot for the Jet storm/Silverbolt arc from Angel/ Archangel in X- Factor. A once noble, slightly ridiculous golden boy stereotype is thought dead, taken and changed by a powerful villain, becomes a dark deadly character, and comes out more intense, brooding, and violent on a quest for revenge against the villain. It's pretty blatant, honestly.
Be careful not to cut yourself on all that EDGE, Silverbolt. Lol In all seriousness though, this personality change was such a letdown, but that's because I watched Beast Wars and got used to his personality in that series. Had I seen this first I might feel differently about it.
When I was a kid watching this show, Silverbolt looks so badass in his beast machine form ❤ I don’t care anymore says that he’s a corny character but to me he’s so funny and romantic 🥰 🙏
If I was a maximal I'd be with black arachnia to see silverbolt return and if when she speaks to him if I can intrude I'd say, "it doesn't matter in the outerplating, what matters is your spark reignited by black arachnia and even without your honor and code conduct you are true gentlebot to her"
Ok - here. This is the moment when the Maximal's organic religious crusade turned me off. Cause it was forced. Sure - Silverbolt did come out briefly as his former self when he had goo. But Jetstorm was his own being. Let me put it this way - Avatar the Last Airbender, introduced the Avatar who is the reincarnation of past Avatars - with each current Avatar being their own person while the past guide and teach (though with Aang, a few Avatars temporary took over his body on occasion). Same with Rhinox. Both awakened eventually - but both Tankor and Jetstorm were their own persons and made decisions - hell, even Silverbot here, voices moments where he enjoyed being a full transformer. Jetstorm had no say in the matter - and he was reformatted against his will, hell against Silverbolt's will. And this wasnt the first time forced reformat was nearly put on an opponent - Rhinox nearly was until Optimus intervened. More and more as I adult - I swear, the "bad" side becomes more and more understanding. Being 100% tech transformer has more benefits - near unlimited power, you can transform, you dont need to worry about food or water, you can exist in space in the vacuum, and badass weapons. Organic - you need food and water, you need sleep, you cant go into space without protection, you need to use the bathroom, you need to wash and brush your teeth, you need to have other species to repopulate, and there's always that chance when your spark shortcircuts your organic self. ~ On side note, I love that Silverbolt and the spider, between the two, one of them still had the Asian look -- Spiderbot in Beast Wars and Silverbolt in Beast Machines
I could never really get into Beast Machines, so I'm wondering just one little thing... how the heck is Waspinator on Cybertron when he stayed behind on Earth?
I'd honestly like it if Waspinator's personality came back. Let him keep the more competent traits of thrust, hell go with the fact that he alone of the generals loved his new form. Could even give Megatron a bit of depth in him actually liking have Waspinator back, at least once he had proof that Waspinator was loyal
Silverbolt going from the Western image of a warrior with a code of honor (the shining knight) to the eastern image (the lone samurai/ronin)
They even gave him a samurai-esque ponytail when he’s in his robot form
Silverbolt was somewhat like Sasuke from Naruto in Beast Machines.

Silverbolt is not a turkey.Bunny Speed is right, you are a Bastard.
@@humangirl2122 you really are a toxic fan
If I were on Cybertron, I would explain completely to Waspinator and Silverbolt of what Megatron did, which involves an army of drones that they should control and more importantly side with what's left of Blaclarachnia's Maximal friends, search for Rhinox, help a misunderstood friend named Noble, teach both the new recruits Nightscream and Botanica and focus stopping the Predacon leader in order to save their home planet. Then they will both say "we would", and Waspinator would say "Waspinator sick of working for Megatron anyway."
I’d have done the same.
Except I’d have easier means of explaining to them. I am The Fallen, after all.
finnaly jetstorm is silverbolt video
It always bugged me how Silverbolt talks like a European knight stereotype, but for whatever reason in BM he gets a fu manchu and a top knot. It just didn't match for me.
he went from noble knight to dirty samurai it fit perfectly
I liked Silverbolt better when he was a mix of two different animals.
It would make sense that Silverbolt would be a flying Transformer, that's also he's a Condor
Well, he was an Aerialbot in G1, so…
@@TheRisingStorm316 The name sure but maybe the Beast Wars Silverbolt is possibly a decent of that Silverbolt
@@shaneokeley825 Descendant or namesake, maybe both. As we all know, Megatron got his name from G1 Megatron. Inferno, Scorpinok, and Rampage are also in this category.
@@TheRisingStorm316 Beast Wars Megatron did named himself after G1 Megatron the same how Megatron at first named himself after Megatronus Prime aka The Fallen but then shortened it

4:05 I'M A BIRD MOTHA FUCKA I'M A BIRD!
Maybe he switched bodies.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002No he didn't!

“Glitch!” - Waspintor
Beast Wars Silverbolt: Adam West
Beast Machines Silverbolt: Christian Bale
Actually I agree with that
This soundtrack is late 90s as fuck omg
It would of been cooler if they gave him hawk mode instead of a dodo bird
its a vulture mode not a dodo bird

I missed Silverbolt's Winged Wolf 🐺 🪽 Fuzor form from Beast Wars.
However, when he became between Jetstorm (jet-plane) and then a Condor (bird), things went different.😔
The new silverbolt kinda seems like a ninja
Jetstorm sounded like the Ocean Dub of Vegeta.
It’s the same voice actor - Brian Drummond
3:28The part where jet storm transforms into Silverbolt showing fossils, kind of shows how shockwave was able to turn Grimlock into a T. rex
Jetsorm*
NEKRASOV Inc fixed it
3:52 in pokemon version : congratulations your jetstorm evolves into vulture silverbolt
The designs and overall look of this was a disappointment for me. I give them props for trying something outside the box, but it just didn't work for me. There were for sure things that I liked about the show. Just didn't hit like Beast Wars.
I usually thought the Vehicons were the coolest part about Beast Machines, well the toyline atleast.
@@monster-mecha_enthusiast_2002 Yeah, I liked the vehicle modes. I really wasn't a fan of the new beast forms, transformations, robot modes for the Maximals. They were so weird lol.

Bunny Speed, why? Wasn't it the shell program that made her evil?

Really in my opinion I really like JetStorm
Its knida cool Silver bolt looks like a ninja

THEY WERE NOT UGLY!
@@humangirl2122 In my opinion, they are ugly.
1) 2:05: "Dark poison of my heart!"
Me: Oh, brother.... I need a girlfriend....😑
2) If only Samurai Silverbolt had a Katana, or at least some sort of Blade to fit with the whole motif.
3) I kinda wish that Jetstorm still stuck around in some form. Imagine if he was still sentient inside Silverbolt's head and fought for control over the body. Or maybe they could have cooperated in some way. That would have been both interesting and cool.
No it wouldn't.it would make thing's worst.
Ok. I respect your opinion. You don't have to agree with me. This is just what I think.
I actually really like beast machines
I mean I can tell the animation was not well characters were not good design but it's still a transformers show
Good job.
I do too
Me too.
So fun fact apparently at 0:23 you can just barely see pupils on Silverbolt's eyes the only other time they appear is when Blackarachnia first gets the vision of Silverbolt. Apparently the animators slipped them in but only in the 2 segments and not the rest.
I wish the maximals found a way to keep silverbolts spark in jetstorms body. His new form gave me ptsd
Keeping Silverbolt's spark inside Jetstorm's body would do nothing.
@@humangirl2122 hey bunny speed, how would you know?

Aka, the maximal designs.
@@lamarckleland5731 No it didn't!
Vince Narciso uh I still love the Vehicons and Quickstrikes cameo
4:14 That was our reaction to the Beast Machines redesigns as well
Anyone else ever pick up on the writers clearly "borrowing" the plot for the Jet storm/Silverbolt arc from Angel/ Archangel in X- Factor. A once noble, slightly ridiculous golden boy stereotype is thought dead, taken and changed by a powerful villain, becomes a dark deadly character, and comes out more intense, brooding, and violent on a quest for revenge against the villain. It's pretty blatant, honestly.
@Chaz Starkey Precisely, Robin!
Bruh when they zoomed in on jet storms visor to reveal silverbolts generic hero face cracked me up
Be careful not to cut yourself on all that EDGE, Silverbolt. Lol
In all seriousness though, this personality change was such a letdown, but that's because I watched Beast Wars and got used to his personality in that series. Had I seen this first I might feel differently about it.
*"HOOO, DARK POISON OF MY HEART🖤❤️🔥"*
We should fix Beast Machines.
Where would we start, I wonder?
@@mechanwhal6590 Rattrap's wheels. I can live with the rest of his design, but the friggin' wheels in his robot form need to go.

jetstorm was an improvement.
Agreed, his design was cool.
I Like Beast Machines and It was Very Good Show
Silverbolt talks like tahu and piccolo
When I was a kid watching this show, Silverbolt looks so badass in his beast machine form ❤ I don’t care anymore says that he’s a corny character but to me he’s so funny and romantic 🥰 🙏
5:43 why he throwing his knifes like some player in a game?
Tbh, I want a Triple Changer Silverbolt. Jet, Robot (with swappable heads), and winged wolf. Adding the condor seems too redundant.
Shouldn't it be "dark venom of my spark"?
If I was a maximal I'd be with black arachnia to see silverbolt return and if when she speaks to him if I can intrude I'd say, "it doesn't matter in the outerplating, what matters is your spark reignited by black arachnia and even without your honor and code conduct you are true gentlebot to her"
Did they have to make everyone creepy
They were not creepy.
@Bruno Ignatius Wartofsky (Student) No they weren't.They were just fine the way they were.
i didn't mind there designs for the most part.
~
On side note, I love that Silverbolt and the spider, between the two, one of them still had the Asian look -- Spiderbot in Beast Wars and Silverbolt in Beast Machines
I could never really get into Beast Machines, so I'm wondering just one little thing... how the heck is Waspinator on Cybertron when he stayed behind on Earth?
