The same can be said about G1 inferno and beast wars inferno
Beast Wars Silverbolt can be inspirational in small doses but too much of him will just make you put your face in your hands and say just stop talking.
So two animals mixed together. Basically a chimera.
Silverbolt was my favorite one. The toy was amazing and I model alot of my DnD characters off him.
Sir Lancelot meets Superman! This bird dog was a real character. I loved how Blackarachnia just complains about him saving her again. "You know I like them big and stupid, but your *really* pushing it." LOL
That was one of my fave lines... Venus Terzo delivered it , beautifully

I always liked how even though he was one of the nicest guys around, he could also be one of the toughest and brutal when provoked, as evident by his fights with Tarantulas.
He was strangely fitting duality.
And yet he constantly got his butt kicked by, of all bots, Waspinator.
@@Okiedog1 I forgot about that part, makes me feel like the universe gave Waspinator a chance to return the favor. Everyone else blows up Waspinator and then Waspinator turns around and blows up Silverbolt, sounds like a form of karma. Another reason to love Waspinator, at least returning him t some level of his skilled "Beast Wars pt.1" appearance
Beware of the nice ones. Especially those with an sense of chivalry and honor
@@Okiedog1 He was actually one of the most effective maximal fighters considering how late he came into the series with a very respectable ratio of victories versus defeats. He placed third overall with Rat Trap and Rhinox taking 1st and second (Rat Trap is the most effective fighter in the whole series), then followed by Dinobot in 4th, Depthcharge in 5th, Optimus in 6th, the rest kinda falling into the spaces between, and dead last is poor Cheetor who is the only maximal that wound up with more losses than victories. I think it's largely due to just how strong his primary weapon is, how he can fly, and how he does have some strategy when fighting. Compare it to Quickstrike who is the worst fighter in the entire series (yes even worse than Waspinator) who only has a venom bite, a weak-ass green laser, can't fly, and is dumb as rocks. Overall yes, he did get ganked by Waspinator once, but he has a good track record otherwise.
@@Okiedog1 think waspinator had the best aim, they took out waspinator bcuz he was the real threat. Look how many times he downed Optimus & bullseyed just about everyone
In Beast Machines, we were all shocked...SHOCKED that Thrust didn't turn out to be Silverbolt! Cocky, obnoxious chatterbox Jetstorm???
They don't make switcheroos like THAT anymore!
Transmutate is actually one of my favorite episodes of Beast Wars.
It’s mostly due to the fact that you see a side of Rampage that hasn’t been seen before or since. Innoway it was tragically sweet that Rampage legitimately cared for someone else.
One of rare few characters that's more popular than there G1 counterparts their named after.

"Consider that my resignation from the predacons Megatron!!" Man that line is so perfectly done and the line that Optimus says next is iconic as well where he says "Well I like your resignation." That's a good line that shows that he truly has become a Maximal at that moment.

I remember laughing at that part when Megatron tricked Silverbolt and Quickstrike intonjoining the predecons.

Hope to see the bird dog get a new figure or come up on the show! His interactions with Blackarachnia were always my favorite scenes in Beast Wars growing up!
I like how they went from a beast mindset kinda to more human
I actually loved this guy in addition to Waspinator and Dinobot.
Other than his love for heroism I prefer flying-target Waspinator and Dinobot

A lot of people seem to believe Cheetor got some character development/growth in BM but in reality that has always been a thing for him since he was just introduced as the kid who got into war (pretty much the reason he even got a TM2 form on the first place, in order to better represent his passage from a child to a teenage/adult) so everything stayed the same for him.
Optimus Primal became a zealot obsessed with the oracle to the point of almost starting his own cult so that's why Cheetor had to take his place as a leader (they even mention several times that he has become a danger to the others but still respect him). How did he go from a born leader, a rational character and the voice of reason to… pretty much a feeble minded preacher?
Blackarachnia was a little more than a babysitter but when she wasn't then her entire character revolved around finding Silverbolt or suffering because of him. She was the enbodiment of a strong and independant woman in the previous series, she even intimidated Dinobot if I'm not mistaken.
Silverbolt just became an angsty teenager. Do I need to say more?
While Rattrap became a substitute for Rhynox he also happened to became a one dimensional hacker (some attempt of a hacker because reasons) despite being the most irrational character in the whole series. As a matter of fact I think he was less of a coward in the previous series since he had no problem to face the enemy face to face.
Rhynox… just became a different character. Call it brainwashing if you want but that was a completely different character even after he regained his conciousness. We had a magnific depiction of what an evil Rhynox would have looked like on the previous series so I don't know what their excuse was for this one.
I'd love to see Sliverbolt meet his G1 counterpart.
I’m surprised with the multiverse crossovers, they haven’t done that with them or Inferno.
Quoth Scott himself: Silverbolt...strong, proud, brave, and smart as a sack of hammers.
But yes, even if they DON'T do the Transmetals for Kingdom, even if they SOMEHOW DON'T give us the other characters tied to those post-Season 1 toylines, at least give us Silverbolt.
On the flipside, his original toy is one of those that still immaculately hold up as a representation, even by modern standards. Unlike the others, which CLEARLY show their age, apart from needing a slightly different face and being KD Blackarachnia's height when he should be taller, Silverbolt is pretty damn spot on, so he still fits as a proper representation.
A modern one would have to be a short Voyager like and Primal and T30 Rhinox.
If nothing else, all four of Scott McNeill's roles NEED to have modern representations, assuming that Kingdom Waspinator rumor is still in the works.
Silverbolt, Quickstrike, Rampage and Depthcharge are characters I hope we get either late 2020 or as part of the next toy line. I love the characters too much to not hope they return. Love the content as always Rodimus ❤️
Silverbolt and Inferno are both Beast characters with G1 counterparts that I like both. I hope to see both Beast era characters revisited.
I wanna see you silverbolt looking like his beast wars version in a future beast wars series, he was at 1st a predacon later joins the maximals, he will transform into the same fuzor his beast wars version turned into in a future beast wars series, and I hope Scott mcneil voiced him in a future beast wars series
He was always a maximal. He was just tricked by Megatron into joining him when he was first acitivated

Would love to see a storyline that involves both Silverbolts working together. After all the current line is throwing some time displacement stories out there. Either way a new Beast Wars Silverbolt would be awesome.

I can see something dynamic out of it. The Autobot wondering if he’s left a worthwhile legacy as the bot of the skies and the Maximal pondering on if he’s worthy of bearing the name of a legendary war hero.
I love silverbolt so much as a kid and as an adult lol his chivalry and sense of honor was always my favorite aspect of him even though it's super cheesy and cliche. I feel like we could all be a little more chivalrous and honorable in a world that's bleak and depressing as is. I would absolutely love it if they made a remaster of his toy model. I would totally buy it if they do

Yea Bird Dog & Legs should be brought back together. I loved Silverbolt in Beast WArs & he was great in Beast Machines, I just wish that since his robot mode looked like a ninja warrior someone called him Ninja Bird. I also liked how Blackarachnia told him how much Cheetor grew up when he rejoined the Maximals in Beast Machines. I can't wait for more Beast Wars Retrospectives especially on Optimus, Dinobot, Rat Trap, & Cheetor to give a few examples
I also thought Silverbolt was great in Beast Machines.
I'd luv to see the Maximal Boy Scout, return. His chivalrous nature , was a treat. Just none of the darkness of the Beast Machines incarnation and please have Scott McNeill embody him once more. (which I know NETFLIX won't do...😐😡🤬)
I wished motormaster appeared as a beast wars character which I hope happens in a future beast wars series, if motormaster appeared in beast wars he would a maximal but later joins the predacons

I think he should. He was one of my favorite characters in beast wars and i loved his character arc in beast machines so yeah.
My friends always said silverbolt was the transformer I resembled the most. After so much time as a nurse, I became jet storm.
Something is telling that Beast Wars Silverbolt will return. Besides, both Blackarachnia and Transmutate made it to the Kingdom. It only makes sense if he should return. Beast Wars Silverbolt is my number one!!!

Nice episode on one of my favorite Beast Wars characters! 10:50 - Yes, TF: Universe toys has wacky decos, but that somehow actually made them cool. And I liked how the molds came from many different previous series.
The molds might have been good, but the colors were not my cup of tea. Considering how much they shelf warmed back in the day, a lot of people felt the same way.
Finally a beast wars character! Looking forward to Optimus Primal and Rhinox!

I loved the relationship between BLACKARACHNIA, & SILVERBOLT. I also believe without SILVERBOLT, constantly showing his affections, & believing in the good that was inside her, just itching to come out. BLACKARACHNIA would have remained a PREDICON, but with SILVERBOLT, she developed both a desire to return to her original programed allegiance, & a love for her furry, feathered friend. SILVERBOLT practically liked everything about BLACKARACHNIA, especially her combat, skills..
Great retrospective as always Roddy, I absolutely love these! Sure why not give us a new Silverbolt, personality I'd love to see new modern versions of all the Beast Wars characters.

Silverbolt is my favorite character and toy from Beast Wars. Very honorable and mythical in appearance. I was happy to see his return in Beast Machines. His look reminded me of Samurai Jack. His Beast Machines toy, however needs a major remake.

it was so interesting to see a totally different type of honor in Silverbolt as opposed to that shown by Dinobot. But both characters lived by their codes of honor.

This is probably one of my favorite transformers of all time along with BW Megs
Easily my favourite character (and couple) in the entirety of Transformers lore, so.... a resounding yes to all three.

I remember Silverbolt perfecftly, but it still feels surreal seeing any footage of Quickstrike because _I literally don't remember him being in the show at all_ - like a Mandela effect.

Silverbolt has always been a favorite, and I was so disappointed in the Beast Machines toy of him. (His character model was fantastic in the show!) The beast machines character arc for him made me like him even more.

While he didn't appear in the Netflix Kingdom show or toy line, he was referenced in the scene where Blackarachnia was hallucinating, she saw and heard a wolf howling and said there was a wolf after her. I'm sure that was a call back to Silverbolt.
