Quick note to add to this re changing the clock time. When I tried to reset my time on the oven, the time wouldn't change. I then realized I had time left in error on the oven timer. When I reduced that back to zero, I managed to change to the correct time !
Just in case anyone else had same problem I had.
Btw thanks for the clear instructions, all very helpful.
Thanks for the info 👍
If it wasn't for your comment I wouldn't have managed to get the time right!!
Oh! Thank you SO much! I didn't realise I'd set the timer; I thought I'd chosen the new hour. Bless you!
Same for me, thanks 😂
@@camilaevans9434same for me 😊
I inherited a NEFF oven with no instruction booklet when I moved. This has been so helpful in understanding the timer functions! Thanks! By far the clearest UA-cam video out there.
Glad it was helpful!
Wrong model i inherited mine not knowing the model and just minimum vocal instructions
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE likewise 👍🏼
Thank you very much for this video!
Very helpful. I couldn’t make sense of the instructions for my NEFF for oven to be timed to start and this was super helpfully. Thanks
Glad to have helped. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant! Thank you for simple instructions.
Cheers! Your video is very concise and easy to understand!
No problem.
Thank you very much for your help.
Lovely video. Thank you very much for posting
No problem, glad you enjoyed it.
Best Neff time settings instruction ever!)
Thanks for the feedback!
Just what I needed! 👍🏻
Glad I could help!
Brilliant. Thanks
Thank you for such a concise, and incredibly helpful video
No problem
Too fast to follow had to keep pausing
Thanks - this is just what is needed. The user-manual writers and translators at Neff, like most of their kind, have yet to find a way to give clear instructions in print.
Thanks for the feedback.
Good tutorial
Nice one. Very helpful 👍
Ace. Thanks mate
Very good! Thank you 👌🏻
No problem.
thank you mate
Brilliant thank you. Now I understand what I had done by accident before 😅
Glad to help.
Thank you soooo much! I was about to call a technician for that ahahahah
Glad I could help!
Thank you,
Glad to have helped.
Amazing, concise vid. I’m now a master!
Do you know how to use the self cleaning on this Owen?
Thank Iu
No problem.
Can’t believe I searched for this, I’m that sad, but the ability to set the oven to come on a set time is a godsend if albeit a complex faff to do, why they felt the need to complicate that so much I don’t know. Instead of just an ‘set on time’
Agreed! That's why I thought I'd try to help other people. Happy cooking!
This is brilliant especially the preset function. I've owned a Neff oven very similar to this for years and didn't realise it did this. I have noticed the fan seems to be staying on though while waiting for it to start. I'm wondering if you know anything about that? Thanks
Not sure sorry unless it's turned the oven on with your heat settings off? Sorry, that's probably no help what soever!
Can you show the function of how the oven or grill works
But this video is very good very helpful
I haven't filmed that yet but it will be coming when I get a chance! Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching.
Good instructions, for my purpose. Except that it was all so buggered up that to re-set it I had to turn off the power. Thereafter, a piece of cake, as above.
Digital timers are so stupid. Years ago my mother had a oven with an analogue timer. You could see the time you wanted - set to switch on and switch off by the clock. Never had to think about it. Thanks for the suggestion to turn off the oven and re-set the timer. I had screwed it up so much trying to set the correct time, it was getting impossible.
Can you also tell me how to use the grill? Do you need to set a temperature as well as turn to grill function. I cant get my grill to work, (just moved in to the house with a Jeff oven). And I am trying to figure out if its a fault or just me! Cheers
The grill isn't controlled by the timer but you need to choose the setting you want then set the temperature. Hope that helps. Best of luck!
Hi, can you do a video on how to make the hole and fit kitchen cupboard hinges please, I can never get it right.
I will try when I get a chance. If you buy standard kitchen units the holes will be pre drilled and standard hinges will fit straight in. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to make the timer display constantly, rather than the clock?
My fan wont turn. This happened before and the engineer told me i need to spam the buttons... I cant gt that to fix it this time. Any ideas?
Great vid. But is there a way to disable alarm when using cooking time setting. Scenario - I leave the house, set oven to cook for 30 mins to then turn off. Once it does turn off it starts beeping, incessantly. Is there a way so that when the oven turns off after the set time it doesn't beep?
Not sure, I'll do some research and get back to you.
I’m having the same issue as Benjamin. Is there a way to turn off the beeper when cooking time is up
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE I have the same question. What's the point of having a "turn off" feature if it doesn't stop beeping? You may as well just use the alarm if it expects you to be in the house anyway (very useful video btw - thank you!)
Your oven, like mine, clearly has a wavy line symbol to the right of the others. PLEASE tell me what it's for.
Only works on my NEFF oven if everything else on clock is not sett, switched off plug for half a min.
Can I get it into 12 hr clock mode instead of 24 hr?
What do I do if the button is stuck in so I can't turn it?
I understand how to set the end time and timer, but because my oven is a fan oven, I can hear the fan working, even though the cooking function shouldn't yet start. Is that normal? It's a bit disconcerting, because I don't know whether it's actually cooking the food or not! Thanks!
Since posting my question I've figured out. A red light appears to signify the oven is heating. Otherwise it goes off when the desired temperature is reached, or in this case when the timer programme hasn't started yet. It's annoying that the fan keeps going though, but I think that's unavoidable.
The fan evenly circulates the heat to improve quality of the cooking. If you look at the instructions there are different ways to position trays according to what you are cooking and how you want them to cook. The fan also stays on once you turn off the oven to help cool it back down. Hope that helps.
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE Thanks for replying, I get that. But if I set the oven to start in, say, 3 hours time, it's rather pointless having the fan going for 3 hours, isn't it?
@@TheNeilsolaris oh right, I see. Mine doesn't do that. Sounds faulty to me.
My fan stays on for a while after it turns off. It's the cooling down feature, although it doesn't seem to be for any set length of time. Sometimes it's 10 minutes, sometimes half an hour.
What is difference between timer and cooking time?
I came onto this site with a specific query...as I had been out of earshot and just caught the end of the beeping of the “egg timer” function [as part of a longer two phase bake] -
Your clip did not cover this situation but if you do as I did and catch the final beeps of the timer that means you have added just 5 minutes to your original time.
I'm not really sure what you mean. Are you saying the beeps will only sound for 5 minutes before turning off again? Thanks for watching.
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE yip - that was my experience - I was in the middle of a two level [temperature] bake and heard the last chimes of the [1st] alarm as I came down the stairs - turns out that was 5 minutes I could subtract from the 2nd phase.
It’s a nightmare lol
Mine wont change when trying to change the time
Timer won't hold setting and is making a buzzing noise. setting to come on later doesn't work, the oven comes on straight away, tried turning off and on still won't work...
In the event your NEFF oven gets addled and these instructions do not help, go to your distribution panel and flip the breaker off for about 10 seconds and back on. That action will clear the NEFF's brain and all will work again.
Why these ovens don't automatically turn off?
This is a badly designed oven with numerous different ways to achieve the same thing. I'm finding it very difficult to find an oven that simply just shuts off so I don't get distracted and leave the kitchen and come back to burned food or worse, a burned down house.
This oven is so bad just like many others on market it can only beep and that's it.
I'm now looking for a smart plug or fuse that connects to the oven with a timer system via an app on a smart phone. If you seen any on the market let me know. Thanks for your great videos anyway.
Hi Eddy, the first feature I showed just beeps the oven but all the other timer features will turn the oven off and stop your food cooking. Yes there's power still to the oven but that's always the case to run the clock and timer. Hope that helps.
@@POUSEaroundtheHOUSE Oh really? OK I will check carefully again. I moved into a house with one of these ovens and when timer passed the oven didn't look like it shut down. I'm a proper dope all round in life but especially in the kitchen and I can easily forget things.
You don’t state how to set the time as stated in your video title ?
Yes I did. It's the first thing I discuss. Did you watch the video?
