Awesome vid i like it. As a Matari pilot yeh gives me goose bumps. The red clouds from the cynos cant remeber seeing them in game.

@FiremanTyme He may be ugly, but he is Maleatu Shakor, leader of the Minmatar in their war against the Ammar oppressors, and once of the most influential members of the Republic. He is ancient, but still wise beyond his years. A beautiful face can be useful, but in the long run, only a beautiful soul can inspire others to follow you into battle for the freedom of all Matari.
@pinkyfull Let's also not forget that this is a different sector of space separate from Earth/Terra, and that a cataclysmic event occurred that simultaneously separated the New Eden cluster from the homeworld and set everyone's development back, leaving them to rebuild society AND technological advancement on their own... And they do talk about it as if each 'race' spent much time on their new 'homeworlds' before rediscovering space flight. Suffice to say, there are many factors.
It's amazing how Gallente scrap metal became the Minmatar Navy.

@ObbieTheII That was part of the Tyrannis trailer, which features a mixed race capsuleer battle. No race divide, but apparently there are other things people can fight over too (imagine that).
Anyway, not all Matari supporters fly exclusively Matari ships. They usually do prefer their ships have a "No Slaves Were Used in the Manufacturing Process of This Ship" sticker. It's how I buy my Amarr ships!

@MrPartizanac In the sense that they are trying to liberate those still in Amarr space but technically they have already won their freedom with the creation of the Minmatar Republic. The war to save those still in Amarr is just to bring the rest of them home. But they've done the job they have a new nation and a place to call home and the strength to back up their interests.

@fcentauri8 Oh I agree, I have a Thrasher and a Rifter (love the hell out of the Rifter), but as I look at the larger ships I am kinda like... eh? I might just get a higher end Catalyst and be done with it for now. Not sure I need to go cruiser yet.

These videos, raise the flags I II III and IV, they are great. But subtle mistakes are made here and there. Somewhere in the video we see Minmatar dreadnoughts killing a Gallentee Titan, the Erebus. One could say that it was just capsuleers warfare but everything around these videos seem to show the wars and disagreements between the Factions of New Eden, not about the capsuleers. In which case showing Minmatar killing Gallente is just wrong... Cuz they helped them a lot. Anyway great video :P

1:48 aww man why can't we have that aspect in the game ? thinking of having an industrial jammed pack full of explosives and then ramming it on a capital ship seems most satisfying >=)

Personally, I think the ships are well-built... the materials just generally have a bit of a worn look to them. Doesn't stop them from being able to tank like a boss, though, be it armor or shields (though, of course, Amarr will generally out-armor-tank and Caldari will generally out-shield-tank, but it is rather apparent the advantages of the Matari's designs are their versatility).
Besides, nobody laughs once they get their asses handed to them by a 'cane fleet.

@AliTheTall Technically you control only one ship at all times. You can control drones in a way. But fleet commanders tell people what to do. For example who to attack, who will attack, where to go, what to do , etc.
The game if full Player controlled so technically you can disobey but the fleet commander might get angry. depends how his like.
Some of the scenes in this I don't recognize as Eve footage or a segment grabbed from one of the already existing trailers, such as from 1:02 to 1:08, Fighters don't launch and stay in formation, and those look like some of the Frigates and not the fighters or fighter-bombers. Or from 1:48 to 1:53, that definitely isn't a Rifter. It has fixed guns, not turrets. It looks like you modded another game and took footage of it; which game is that? Homeworld maybe?
I picked the caldari faction for their ship designs, i would have rather been in a faction that had the minmatar ideology though.

Actually, something's been nagging at me... the part where they show small ships flying out of a Hel supercarrier (1:02).. I notice those are Firetails and Slashers (or Slasher-based Tech 2s). Now, I'd not say a supercarrier can't carry that many frigates, but I'd more realistically expect Einjerji and/or Tyrfing, which are actual fighters and fighter bombers. Frigates are, well, frigates. And although they are maneuverable, they are not strike craft. Wonder which source that footage is from..

@pinkyfull I say the panels add some redundancy to the power systems. Though, looking at the Ragnarok, I have a hard time telling where any panels are, unlike with ships like the Hel, Tempest, and Hurricane which have rather obvious panel-like structures. I'd also wager a guess they're more effective at harnessing the sun's power than our current solar technology... assuming, of course, our current solar technology can be improved upon. It is a bit arrogant to just assume it can't, though.

@pinkyfull they use nuke reactors to power their engines - the sails are for heat disspensation.
Thats the theory that sounds best as far as I have sen - of course its a game so. . .

@RampagingSpaceMarine It's from future proof. The person used triexporter to grab models and evidently didn't bother to get guns. It's still a great vid (future proof), though

@tinbum45 Noo look closely, at 1:32 exact, you see the gunfire going one way and behind the minmatar dreads you see an Amarr supercarrier. Thats what im talking about... so what the... is Minmatar teaming with Amarr?

i dont understand, do you just control one ship or do you get to a point where you can command more than one, e.g escorts, or fleet commanding?
I am minmitar but fly amarr, i want to use there technology against them :) how did u control @ 1:47?

I know there is no such thing as "best ships" in eve, but i was always like the minmatar ships more than any other race. their combo of speed, power and tank made me fall in love with them. it was fun as hell doing non sense in a rifter frigate:P speedy little fucker.........until a drem comes along>_>

ok two things. 1: it takes over 15 years to train all of EVEs skills 2: said skills arent staying still as CCP loves including more skillbooks every year so no youll never train everything so if you wanna specialize in a race you can or if you wanna take the time to try and train everything and fail because CCP wont let you really... you can do that too. that and no offense but i dont wanna get stuck with blasters/railguns for my EVE career sorry because i love my Mach (minnie/gallente cross)
