Caldari are definitely the best empire faction in EVE. But then again, any of them are better than the Gallente.
As an ethnic Gallente, I can not help but admire the resolve and determination of the Caldari. By the way, love the improved designs your manufacturer have implemented on your ships.
Tbf, the Caldari were originally Federation members. There were some definite tragedies, there is no excusing that.
I say it's time the Gallente amd Caldari make Amends. Between the dimensional invaders, rising blood cults, Sansha's return, and the rebirth of the Amarr Empire, there are far worse things in the galaxy than each other.
Our sheilds strong, and weapons locked.
We charge in to battle. Our enemies we mock.
Drones, cannons, blasters. Nothing gets through.
Missles launched. Flying straight and true.
Through armor they rip. Hull below.
Still we fire. NO QUARTER FOR ANY FOE!

The Caldari are the only respectable people in New Eden.
The Amarr are fanatical
The Gallente are soft, queesy and untruthful
The Minmatar are pitiable, their history of enslavement by the Amarr something to contemplate.
The Caldari... Hardship has formed this people into one of strength, unity in the face of hostility, competitive spirits and overall a matter-of-fact mindset that makes them the sole rightful rulers of New Eden.

The Caldari remain corporate monsters in peace times, while the Gallente have actual values. Militarily Caldari are respectable, but not in any other way.
Mazthoril all caldari are respectable. they are the germans, or the japanese of new eden. national values is what they have. hard work is what they have. pride is what they have earned. if i would choose a nation to live in, from these 4 id pick the caldari.

I'm Gallente through and through but these 4 videos are some of the best Eve Online material I've seen in a long time. Really well edited from some nice eve related clips, and an excellent choice for sound too! Awesome stuff.
Ask not what the state can do for you. Ask rather what you can do for the state. If everyone does his part for the whole then awaits us all a glorious and safe future.

@Mederlock007 The caldari are more like 1960s and 1970s Japanese. Fist off they value Asymmetrical designs in their ships where as the Japanese value asymmetry. Plus there are Japanese based names like Ishukone and finally, they represent the economic systems of the Japanese during the 60s 70s and 80s.

It's because Caldari have the shortest learning curve and training time before becoming effective - no need to learn to keep at a certain range if you have missiles, no need to learn to conserve your cap if you have a passive tank, etc etc. That said, I too fly Caldari, because nothing feels quite as fun as shoving a boatload of missiles down someone's throat.
As a Gallente I do feel your pain in losing your homeworld, but in the justice of the galaxy you have reaped what you have sown. The corrupt state will never cripple our quest to free all that are oppressed...and you Caldari, and your Amarr allies...you are the oppressors.

It comes from Dust 514, an online first person shooter that has not yet been released. The outcomes of Dust 514 skirmishes will have real effects on the EVE Online universe.
The free market gave us the best form of Ewar in New Eden and for that I salute the Caldari State

It would be cool and would make sense both gameplay wise and lore wise. Amarr and Gallente both use armor and drones. Caldari and Minmatar both use shields and missiles. Gallente and Amarr relations, while unsteady have always been beneficial to both nations and the Caldari don't have any qualms with the Minmatar either.

Battle of Caldari Prime brought me here...
On a serious note: I wonder if this event will shift Minmatar to backing up Caldari. It's been Amaar/Caldari and Gallente/Minmatar (spelling sucks I know). But the Caldari are essentially doing what we, Minmatar did, break away from our governing body. Be sweet to see the alliances shift.
In my opinion, Blitzkrieg by Audiomachine would fit perfectly with the Caldari State.

I suppose if the Gallente are like Star Trek's Federation without the Replicators, then the Caldari are like Star War's Galactic Empire without the psychopathic Sith in charge.

Man, I think I'm gonna buy EVE Online, and I can't choose between Caldari and Amarr! Amarr is really Conservative and Godlike, but Caldari is Capitalist and Militaristic! Amarr fires LAZORS, but Caldari fires epically painful missiles! Amarr has slow, extreme-armored tanks, and Caldari has the most firepower of any other race! The Amarr has my all-time favorite color scheme, but you can still change the paint, and Caldarians use my all-time favorite damage type- KINETIC!

Take Caldari. If u skill hybrids, u can also fly gallente as well. Ok, you have to skill armor and drone skills :P

@sohei11 There's no "machinegun" term, for any tengu concept, but by that I'm going to assume you're referring to a 6 launcher build, which means you're not talking about the 100mn-ab nano tengu. Which, btw, is the best kind, unless of course you're doing an unprobable gang.

@TDBHclan DAMNIT! You have an excellent point there. Storywise, the capsuleers don't know the truth about it. Not even the faction governments know this. So, storywise, we can't say we know this. RPing undert this knowledge wouldn't make any sense.

At the end of the vid you have a missile in flight, since the new updates I cant seem to do this anymore. Is that an old clip or has CCP fixed this feature?
You use to be able to click and set a missile as parent for the camera angle.
