This film covers a bit from the Caldari-Gallente war. It's set 200 years ago, before any of the 4 races had pod technology. I tried to use ships that may have been around back then, though sadly there's not a huge amount of information that I could find.

I watched this back in 2009 for the first time. More towards the end of the year but I still have it favourited. I still return to watch it every once in a while. I love it just as much today as then.

This goes to show that nothing is more dangerous than a commander who knows how to use his ships and has nothing to lose. A combination I'd never want to face.
This is true when all you have left to face is destruction you might as well make the other party hurt as much as possible before you get taken out.

For some reason, I was crying a little when I heard that the Captain went down with his ship. Now that is a very emotional video you guys made. Encore!
The way this is done is incredible. I actually catch myself starting to cry at the end when it's being described what the admiral did.
The battle had to have taken several days just out of pure necessity (it took 2 weeks to evacuate even half the planet). The main fleet of the Gallenteans would also have been at Gallente Prime, the two homeworld planets are in the same system so they would have merely warped to each other. The whole point is that it was a hopeless battle, but what they were doing was delaying the Gallenteans.
yeah one of the few eve vids that makes my eyes water up every time, touching well thought out story, even to this day it remains a good watch ^^

I love the voiceover as well, it sounds so brilliant and it adds that extra subtle layer to this story. The gallente-caldari war story arc was one of my favourite of the chronicles to read, and I am glad this has been made.

Just started playing eve again and this was the second video I searched for to get me back in the vibe. First was the dominion trailer, which led me to this one. Took some searching because I couldn't remember the title, but eventually found it..and so glad I did. I've been a Gallente pilot for some 14 years now but, I gotta say.. If you follow the storylines..some of this stuff really hits you in the feels.
