Is it possible for one to use narrative therapy on oneself without a therapist? Can I self examine myself and change my stories?

Yes, but likely only to a certain extent.

You definitely can. The benefit of working with a therapist includes having to explain how your life fits together and having another human around to ask questions when things don't seem to fit together

It's theoretically possible, for sure. That's where being a skilled clinician is required for this to work!
