@CrazyKidsHD not in austin exactly, but all the tour locations from both the original and remake are in the austin area. everything was within a 20 something minute drive from austin. the meat plant for instance is in taylor and the BBQ was in Cele i believe. they dud end up moving the house from the original about an hour away from austin, thats the only stop that is a bit of a drive.
@13fridayMAY it was awesome to get in there!! it was my friend who was brazen enough to ask. i wanted to downplay the whole horror movie fan angle. truth is, they were all REALLY cool and the meat we got while we were there was awesome!
no prob, i wish i planned it a little better thought. keep your eyes peeled though as im going back to austin in two months and will be doing a re-cut video for BOTH TCM movies!
they had a sign up that literally said they would shoot trespassers. and the house is really far from the road and without tree cover, it wouldnt have been possible to sneak over.
