What Is a Single Throw Double Pole Switch on a Boat?

J-Rock sent us a question, "Jeff, my boat has a start battery, a house battery, and an on/off battery switch. If I run my boat on the starter battery, how would my depth sounder work if it is hooked up to the house battery? In other words, using accessories while the boat is in motion?"

Is it okay to have my start battery isolated from my electrical system except for my ACR? Currently, the start battery does not have a service disconnect switch installed on it.

Hey man.. awesome beta on setting up electrical systems.. I have Q? I have a BSS Single Cicuit 6006 ON/OFF switch, a BSS ACR 120A, x2 AGM house batteries, BSS 100A thermal circuit breaker, and a BSS ST Blade Fuse Block, a BSS PowerBar 600A (4 column) and a ZAMP Solar Controller trying to wire it correctly in my van down by the Snake river.. please help
