Plant is really really good. As I said many times before my only issue is his stamina he always gets gassed and sloppy in the late rounds if they fixed that he’d be almost unstoppable

I agree with your take. I notice that when fighters get tired, they tend to lose their level of concentration, which is how you get caught with shots you'd normally see early in the fight

Benavidez walks in too much I think he will change some things in the Caleb fight. I’m taking Plant. He’s the more skilled fighter and if he can keep sitting on his punches more idk how David’s chin is but he is a tough dude ur he’s not the best conditioned fighter either so he can go just as easily as plant can but I think Plant has more power and the speed also which translates to power bc you don’t see it coming

I'm a Benavidez fan, but seeing the last 2 Caleb Plant fights, I have nothing but respect for Plant. He really had a good defensive fight against Canelo until the round he got knocked out, and he put Dirrell to sleep. If we get a more offensively aggressive Plant, this can be a competitive fight.
I think it's fair for David to be the favorite. But i think ppl are fanboying instead of looking at the fight realistically.
David was having a hard time figuring out a short 154lb guy moving up simply bc that guy had some hand speed and used movement. David did end up stopping the guy if i remember correctly but it ended up being a tougher fight while it lasted than many of us expected for David.
Plant has shown to be much better than that guy. It's gonna be a real fight and i don't think David is just gonna mow over plant and stop him.
Even if he gets the stoppage he's gonna have to work so hard for it.

Plant can win this fight, he is an excellent boxer and he has enough movement to possibly get Benavidez out of his comfort zone. Not an easy fight.
I think and I would hope Plant vs Benavidez be very competitive... if Benavidez defeat Plant easily, Canelo is in serious troubles... but I really don't see it.

I honestly think Plant is gonna expose DB . I still believe that DB defense is questionable and has not faced someone with top skill. It would be crazy for DB to think CP is gonna be a easy fight.

Canelo won't fight anybody else on the 175. if Bivol wants Canelo's 168 belts, he will have to come down for them, and then you will see a different story.
Canelo over estimated himself listening to people that only want to see him loose. If it would be up to the people, Canelo would be fighting heavy weights. According to what I saw on Bivol /Ramírez fight, Canelo looked better and Canelo would beat Ramírez 💯

Caleb is a fighter that is only getting better. His last fight showed his great defensive skills as well as his power. Looked sharp with loads of stamina. I wouldn't bet against him anytime soon.👊👊

Plant has a new trainer and is looking like a different fighter. He proved that against dirrell. Nobody thought he had the power to knock him out the way he did but he surprised us all. I think this will be a way better fight than what ppl are expecting

who has benavidez had in front him where he "shined"? i believe abel is gonna be wrong on benavidez vs plant , he is wrong a lot ...... i think benavidez doesn't got the one punch power to make plant tentative enough to slow down his offense/counters , to much difference in ability to move and punch , plant will get benavidez walking into counters and leads , benavidez gonna have trouble setting his feet .....reaching with body punches is usually not a good idea , especially when you got a habit of keeping your hands around your waist ....
I’m not sure you need one punch power to make your opponent tentative…you just need good thumping power and/or speed & accuracy.
In his welterweight years, Floyd didn’t have one punch power, but his opponent output usually dropped 50%…even Pacquiao’s output dropped immensely.
I think Benavidez hits hard enough to make you hesitate & think. That’s how/why he breaks opponents down…the accumulation of hard thuds to the body and head.
As for shining, being undefeated with around 26 fights and about 23 KO’s, you’re shining.
That presents the other big issue. Plant has. 56% stoppage rate (and has been stopped), while DB has an 88% stoppage rate (has never lost).
The odds of a Benavidez stoppage are way higher than a Plant stoppage.

Benavidez has no defense. Plant will tag him right & left.
His defense is good. He just opens himself up more to counter punches because he's more aggressive. That could be an issue for him against plant, though.

Not really. His aggressive style opens him up more to counters but I wouldn't go so far as to say his defense is "garbage." You don't get to that level if your defense is garbage. But some of his strengths can also become potential weaknesses against a skilled fighter like Plant.

Plant is a better technician in the ring. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Benavidez has speed and power, but he’s careless. I honestly believe that Plant will outbox Benavidez, but happy to eat crow as I am excited for the fight regardless of who wins.

Benavidez has done or shown absolutely nothing to inspire the degree of confidence some have in how he fares against the likes of Canelo and Plant. Fundamentally, what's the big deal? Stationary head, lackluster offense, plodding, minimal footwork. That's a recipe for getting tree chopped my Canelo's precision counters like Callum Smith was. He took the same amount of time to put away Dirrell as the supposedly pillow fisted Plant did, and less emphatically to boot. Lemieux? Plant wouldn't blast him out in 3 (then again...), but he would do him like Saunders did but capped off with a highlight reel ko, so that's a wash. Bivol does David like he did Zurdo at 168 or 175, quite possibly even easier. The boogeyman accreditation seems to come more from wishful thinking than anything materiel or logical
