It's super interesting to see you play, because although you have a lack of knowledge as a quite recent Tekken player, you make up for it by paying close attention to their habits, to the point of crushing their defenses with your own offense, which is stupidly good for your current rank and playtime.
Honestly can't wait to see how good you'll become in a year or two. Keep it up fellow Reina enjoyer!

So basically:
1. Know how to counter every playstyles: rushdown, poking, full-on defense, etc.
2. Identify opponent's playstyle.
3. When opponent adapted, adapt to that.
Personally, I think the first step is the steepest learning curve. I'm still figuring out how to deal with opponents who are defensive half of the match and then counter launches my attacks.
im a new tekken player, started with 8 but from what ive gathered, its usually more complicated on paper than in matches.
you just have to know your character's options enough to figure out the better move to use at a specific time that youre losing.
for example if youre losing in neutral, maybe youre not using your best poke, maybe youre using your best poke but its a high they are going under, or a low they are jumping, hence switching to your fastest mid checks/pokes would give you better info.
if youre losing your turn because youre going for the safe combo enders, try plus frame moves into frame traps, are you still losing your turn? are they ducking your high string enders or stand blocking? if they're ducking try mid pokes, if they're standing test their reaction time with a grab or use a plus frame low even if its slower...
are they interrupting with jab checks? use a move with built-in evasiveness or a high crush...etc
learning as a beginner it all boils down to recognizing your character's kit, universal move properties and flaws, and capitalizing on that.
and not being afraid to absolutely lose every single match and focus on the rounds themselves, or even every interaction by itself.

This should apply to every fighting game. We are creatures of habit, we either make em or break em. It’s your choice when to decide which route to take.
Don't overestimate a win-streak. I've gone into matches with one similar, but only because the night before I was running games with a friend I was better than at the time. Apart from that, great mindset.

I don’t know if you know this, but watching Mishima complex, I found out if you knock down an opponent and quickly enough dash into while rising 4, you could kick them up again and quick down forward 2 will have them into a full combo all over again. One of the most satisfying feelings in the world to pull off in an online match.
i didnt know that but i will try it!!, it makes sense because after u hit somoene with electric kick on counter you can do WS4 into df2 as well
Keep in mind the ws4 only float opponent if they keep staying on the ground and not tech , not you trying to do it as fast as possible cuz they could tech it

Some months ago I found a Kazuya when I was even more newbie, got to find a 31 winstreak Kazuya took 2 rounds out of him and then he started to knowled check on me and ended up losing, by the next match he destroyed me xD. Pretty cool you won one of those guys and avenge us!!! Stay strong 💪

you missed a bunch of potential punishes that would have gotten you wins sooner, but you read him and outplayed him massively. tbh i would never have guessed he was emperor if you covered the ranks up - braindead fishing for launchers at full-screen, mashing when you're at like +4 and +6, pressing into ch strings etc. his damage potential was on point though. maybe ungabunga jack stance pressure and high combo damage has gotten him that far
yeah i missed a lot of stuff sadly, 3 months into this game hopefully i can punish more often in the future!, thanks for watching!💪
@@DeiBio of course! you're doing amazingly well for your first tekken. punishing stuff like jack's df2 requires quite a bit of muscle memory. t7 was the first fighting game i took seriously and i think red ranks took me like 400hrs to reach lol. i'm fujin in t8 after 100hrs

Considering how much he whiff and how he doesn't know a right answer to sen or doesn't adapt he's definitely not better, he probably got there thx to ppl not knowing the matchup, you Can see that easily in his gameplay beacause of how much punishable moves he throw out and all the whiff he's doing, and Also how he's barely punishing anything, not hesitating to do things while being - and even worse doing punishable moves in those situations is a proof the player is not good
He doesn't have movements at all, he's not Moving, not creating timings being really obvious on his whiffs, he Also doesn't use the positional advantage by stepping to push his opponent to a wall

ok i fucking love all of this. but part of me hates how i couldn't read the ending properly. Maybe throw in a clean replay of the action there?
it looks like you hit a forward 2,3 but then hit the UF1+2 for the throw. do those flow into each other? I'm guessing you held forward after the F2,3 (not sure how to notate that) and went into sentai, and dude held block and got surprised by the throw.
i only just recently learned Reina can FF1+2, holding the second forward. It's great to be able to extend the range of a throw pretty extensively. But, I'm at the level people tend to read and tech throws consistently if I can't mix them up. (Hmm... maybe reina can dash into her other throws...?)

I'm at TEKKEN King and I can beat TEKKEN Emperors and TEKKEN Gods but I think that's the farthest rank I can reach and I don't wanna try pushing my luck like I did in TEKKEN 7 where I reached TEKKEN God. My goal is to reach at least TEKKEN God in TEKKEN 8 but I guess that won't happen. But who knows I might play rank again if I feel like it.
