- "Star Trek: Picard" star Patrick Stewart shares how the new season of his show features Picard dabbling in romance and will feature the return of Whoopi Goldberg who was first cast in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" in 1988. And after Colin gets a look at his Penguin action figure from "The Batman" we get a look at Picard's action figure which is a bit more flattering. And Reggie Watts has a question.

TECHNICALLY Colin was "officially" in a superhero movie as Bullseye in daredevil but, uh...yeah, we'd probably rather forget that.

This interview was a DISASTER. Colin is too sweet or too uncomfortable to correct James that he was a villain in a super hero movie about 20 years ago. And then James pitching The Batman at 4:53 just after Colin promoted After Yang, his small independent film that he has said needs more publicity. Colin’s quiet frustration at 4:57 He really is the nicest guy in Hollywood.

Colin long ago proved he was not just a glamourpuss nor a flash in the pan. Whether he is the lead or supporting actor, whether in dramatic, comedic or romantic roles he shines. He is a hard-working man.

Never seen love/romance from Picard? FFS even Patrick Stewart can't remember the characters history, nevermind the stupid writers.

No it's not that he can't remember. He knows. He's just lying about that so they can claim they're doing something new with the character when they can't think of all that much new to do with him. Patrick has already lied about Picard's character when promoting season one of Picard saying Picard is "different" in the show because he claimed that "he's never been angry, disappointed and guilty" before. Which anyone who's seen TNG should know how nonsense and untrue that is. He's hardly the only one involved in modern trek who has lied about their shows especially Alex Kurtzman. But maybe there's other reasons why they ignored all those romances from TNG. Maybe they think those relationships are "problematic" for some reason and best ignored, maybe they don't like how confident Picard generally was with the ladies considering in this show he now hesitates to kiss Laris something he had no problem doing with other women in TNG or maybe they don't like how so many of those women found Picard attractive considering in this show we've had people some of them women treating him like shit. Any of those reasons I wouldn't either agree or like of course. The truth is Patrick never really liked Captain Picard or TNG or Star Trek and has complained in the past about the role of Captain Picard typecast him and people didn't want him in their movie because of it and he clearly thinks his Picard show is better than TNG as he said in a livestream during lockdown about what was "typical" about TNG (the catchphrases like "Engage") in a unflattering tone of voice as well as just being written all over his face how much he doesn't care for TNG. Make no mistake Star Trek: Picard was not really made for fans of TNG it was made for cynical people like Patrick Stewart and the rest of the writers and producers of the show and those like them who never cared for and bought into the optimism of the franchise.

The Batman isn't Colin Farrell's first superhero movie. He was in one before -- it was just an awful one -- the Affleck version of Daredevil.
This entire skit is a copy of Graham Norton. He did the same thing and use the same Patrick Stewart action figure.

This is such an underrated film. The whole singular idea, by Matt Reeves, that this is a man who is unhinged and unhealthily obsessed with fighting the criminal element at night who is constantly beating criminals to a pulp with his bare hands and with his unlimited amount of vast resources at his disposal. All he sees in the criminal element, in this corrupt town that his family helped to build and found dating back to the late 1800s, are the people who killed his parents as a young child making him an orphan.
So, he dons the mantle of that which he fears the most, in the form of the Batman, after training for the majority of his life to rid his city of the evil that took his parent's lives. He dosen't know who was responsible for killing Thomas and Martha Wayne so every criminal he sees, to him, is the criminal that killed his parents on that fateful night when he was only 10 years old. He is addicted to this mission, like a drug, so as both Bruce and Batman, he spends all of his time, trying to succeed in this impossible task he has set up for himself. That's why he never sees the light of day as Billionaire Bruce Wayne and is a social outcast and pariah. He is a man driven by vengeance; by revenge. By the end of this journey, as we see Bruce on a physical, mental, emotional and psychological level and transform from a young, naive, impatient man who makes mistakes still early in his career as a crime fighter we see him then become something else by the end...a symbol of hope, an ideal, a form of inspiration that makes criminals terrified to step out at night and commit their atrocities that makes Gotham City one of the worst places to call home. A city with a history and a foundation steeped in corruption and crime that ties back to the Wayne family and and their vast fortune. It also plants the seeds that will give him the inspiration to step out in the light of day to transform into the billionaire, playboy industrialist more interested in dating models and driving fast cars in order to hide in plain sight so no one would be able to distinguish Bruce Wayme is actually the Batman. A man consumed by vengeance who transforms into a symbol of hope. Obviously a film inspired by the comic book mythos and Arkham video game series and Batman animated series from the 1990s.
Ironically, a film consisting of character arc transformations and worldbuilding moments that is actually one of the most faithful Batman comic book movies to the original source material in the 1940s. Such as Detective comics issue 27 from 1937 and batman issue 1 in 1940 created by Bob kane, Bill finger and Jerry Robinson.
Then, the new 52 comics such as court of owls and Zero year by tomeu morey, john ottley, Jim lee, Scott Snyder. Batman year one by jim lee, David Mazuchelli and Frank miller as well as Batman: the long halloween and Batman: ego and other tales. This essay is lterally just scratching the surface of why it's actually one of the best batman films yet up their with the likes of the Dark knight from 2008.
there were Bullseye action figures made. it's not the first Colin Farrell action figure. not a big deal other than being wrong, which always deserves a call-out.
I just rewatched Daredevil last week for the first time in many years and Colin was great as Bullseye and I forgot how violent that movie was plus Michael Clarke Duncan was also great as kingpin and honestly after how mediocre some recent marvel movies have been I believe that has then made the Daredevil movie age well.
Colin did incredible as the penguin and that batmobile penguin chase scene in a gdx sound system theater was amazing.
Colin’s action figure looks more like a 2001ish Martin Johnson the ex English rugby player/world cup winning captain …… Americans will have no idea about him but it does look more like him then Colin!🤣

@@gabrielp9646 Just because someone has valid reasons why they don't like something doesn't make them a "hater." Maybe they're genuinely disappointed by the show due to their love for the franchise and feel that it falls short of it. I feel like calling someone a hater simply for not liking something is incredibly small minded and stupid and almost seems to imply every time it's used that there is no bad products only "toxic" haters. Maybe try to be more understanding and less dismissive you might actually help to make the world just that little less divisive.

@@pjbfny I've been in the collectibles hobby since 1999. Didn't need Google to know there was no officially licensed action figure of the Daredevil movie Bullseye. Anyone can make a custom, so that doesn't count. The original poster just made assumptions without checking facts.
