Because he ate the foods that were cooked with the crab and other shellfish, he basically ate them too. So he should be good for eating those the odd time too.
I’m allergic to the meat of the shellfish, my stomach cannot break down the iron in them for some reason causing a reaction. So it’s okay for me to eat whatever touched it as long as it is not the shellfish meat 😅
@@terrykim2963 but the other foods would still have a cross contamination from the meat of the shellfish meat. The one end of the crab leg has meat exposed. You might have more of a sensitivity/intolerance to shellfish rather then an allergy. Symptoms of food intolerance include gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, cramping, and nausea.
Symptoms of food allergy include hives, swelling, itching, anaphylaxis, and dizziness.

Hey guys it’s Terry here! Thanks for all your concerns and feedback regarding my shellfish allergy. Everyone’s allergy reaction and tolerance varies and as you can see from the video, mine is not too extreme. I had hard time beathing in the past, but my hormones are changing again and my body is starting to accept it more and more. I was not born with this allergy, I used to eat shrimp and crab all the time until 8 years ago and it happened out of sudden. Hyunee did not force me to film seafood boil, she was actually worried the whole time and told me not to do it. I innitiated it since there were lots of requests from comments in past videos and we trained for quite some time before intaking shellfish for this video. I hope the video was fun and interesting! I don’t think I’ve overcome shellfish allergy a 100% yet but it’s definitely getting there. Again, thanks for worrying about me guys, please dont talk badly about the love of my life, hurts way more than the allergy ❤️🙏🏻🐝🍯

Omgoodness she wouldn't put him in a dangerous situation! I'm sure they both talked about it. I would say keep an epi pen just in case. I love seafood too much that I would be sad if I was allergic. I know it can be severe to not as bad. But I don't want that life at all Lol
Having an allergy is scary. I’m allergic to peanuts and shellfish. It’s best to stay away and not worth the risk. Maybe have an Epi-pen nearby.

I know somebody who can eat prawns/shrimp crab, etc, but had bad reactions to mussels and oysters.
I wonder if their is a difference?
I love prawns buts scared to eat crab or lobster just in case i have a reaction, lol.

Seafood boil when you’re allergic to crustaceans makes me nervous. My husband is also allergic to the iodine in shellfish. I hope you carry an epi pen. Loved seeing this, tho it made me nervous.

I'm not big on lotions either. But I burn really easily, so I need sunscreen when I go out. My favorite is the Neutrogena brand. It's SPF 110 and smells like roses. But the lotion itself dries nicely and doesn't sit oily on the skin.

Yeah I have been eating pineapples my entire life and was my favorite fruit until 3 years ago I was enjoying this very sweet and delicious pineapple then within seconds it felt like my mouth was growing I had to go to,er and now I’m allergic to my favorite fruit

I am older than both of you but I remember every time my parents used to take us out for Chinese food specifically because they grew up in Brooklyn so they had access to Chinatown and they used to take it to Chinatown a lot which I loved but when I started ordering which was my favorite dish as a kid shrimp with lobster sauce I would get hives all the time there were other foods that I would get allergic reactions to but I guess maybe it was because if this was the 70s that they didn’t even put it together and realize that allergies were something they should Pay attention to but as I’ve gotten older in the past 10 years especially my bad reactions to anything shellfish or even seaweed that hasn’t been rinsed properly can send me into an allergy attack that should probably have gone to the emergency room I’m just saying please be careful OK I like to push boundaries sometimes too but just please be safe and be healthy I love you guys I can’t wait for all of the wedding content I’m super psyched I’ve been watching Hyunee for years especially since I stopped watching TV

yay! seafood boil is my fav to watch. I can not believe how much it was to buy. I guess I kinda take seafood for granted here because here in newfoundland it isn't as much. my dad use to crab fish so it was free for me most my life for crab, and my grandfather use to codfish every summer so we always had that as well and locals here fish for lobster and sell them for 8 dollars a pound. I dont eat it as often as I use to though now that i am older, but i do enjoy watching it. I love that terry is so willing to do things that make you happy. You both are gunna have such a long beautiful life together. Thank you for sharing your stories

I have shellfish allergies too - I'm pre-anaphlaxysis so if I was to try it, I'd probably need to be rushed to the hospital. I stay away from seafood all together.
Yea I though shellfish allergies are just as bad as peanut allergy. Nothin to mess with. I didn't think u could even eat things it's touched.
@krissy I didn't know either until I started having reactions. For me it started with being nauseated after eating shrimp specifically. I'm too scared to try other shellfish. But everytime I try shrimp, it got worse everytime I had it. Last time I almost went into full blown anaphylaxis so haven't touched it since! It's not how they show in the movies that's for sure. Never had this allergy growing up, just randomly started happening about 6 or 7 years ago.
