I am a bit worried on what Garmadon's return would impact Lloyd's arc in the show. As being a sensei and his dynamic with his father are two different arcs. I hope Lloyd's arc involving Garmadon is not gonna overshadow his arc as Arin and Sora's master
i think there could be some really nice interplay between those two storylines, maybe lloyd would need advice or something and he could give his own "garmadon-y" take
It could be a good thing. So long as Lloyd isn't bigotted to him, they could form a friendly dynamic with each other, with him helping Lloyd iron himself out as a Sensei. But only time will tell.

I honestly don't hope that he will come back. Because he doesn't develop and will ruin everything. Including Lloyd and ninja as independent masters.

I wish Garmadon would have a sympathetic understanding for Ras, with his past with imperium, and being treated as a weapon, and not as a person.
Also i would love Garmadon be kinda disliked by the dragons, becase of his oni blood, but grow an clouse relation ship with one of them, and have the dragon kinda be like, what Cristofern was in crystalized.
If im honest, i wish every ninja would get a dragon to be a parent figure for at some point.
Also i wish they bring his movie helmet back, becase its been 5 years, since we last saw it in a set

I think that Arin not trusting Garmadon would be a really interesting and fun arc, as it would bring some past lore to the show. One of the things that I disliked about Dragons Rising Part I was the lack of previous lore, the Crossroads are a new place, therefore they have little to no previous history, something that I've always loved about Ninjago was its continuity and how all actions (or most of them) in the show have consequences, kind of like how the Great Devourer impacted Harumi or how the prisioners in Prime Empire escaped to then appear in The Island, so having Arin, who was a regular citizen before the merge react to the return of a dark lord that had a terrorist group that worshipped him and commited regicide so that he would become an actual dictator would be absolutely intersting to see. It would kind of be like how Harumi gave the perspective of a civilian in the Great Devourer attack and how she hated the ninja for not being there, while Arin might have been more motivated for trusting the ninja after Garmadon's rule and hating the dark lord for what he did, this would also leave great potential for several analysis of how Arin and Harumi could be two sides of the same coin, which I'm always happy to see.
I hope Harumi in the new series. Maybe next year?!
I honestly would see Arin sort of giving the Garmadon the benefit of the doubt, since he's such a fan of the Ninja.
He probably remembers Sensei Garmadon, and how he saved Ninjago from the Digital Overlord and his role in the banishment of the Anacondrai Cultists.
Like leading a terrorist group isn't really something he planned to do, it's just cause Lord Garmadon was revived.
He also did try to conquer Ninjago, but that was under the influence of the Overlord and the Great Deverourer.

Garmadon is one of my favorite characters and I was hoping we'd see him sometime in Dragon's Rising, so I am super excited to see him! He was one of the only good parts of Crystallized, in my opinion...
The only problem is that I'm a bit worried that if they're bringing all these old characters back we'll see Harumi again. Which I guess would make sense, but I don't want another repeat if Crystallized further down the line. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, and while we're waiting I'll try to be cautiously optimistic
So having Wu in one of the sets in a way could mean nothing because he is just a vital part of Ninjago, he is the first character to show up in the series. As you said in another video the sets aren't really the most accurate thing in the world, but Garmadon is more of a side character, part of the team and the ninjas' buddy so if I had to guess his chances of showing up in the series are higher than Wu's. If he does show up I think it would be great too. He did have a good arc in Crystalized but it wasn't complete and I think there is more to add to it
When Garmadon dose come back I hope dragons rising works or n wrapping up his story and bringing it to an end eventually
If I had to pick three characters from the original show that NEEDED to return, I would say Garmadon because it wouldn’t make sense for him to just disappear, Pixal because she is essentially just a main character, and Echo Zane because Zane having a brother shouldn’t be ignored like that.

I think this was a good period of time for garm to show up, not so soon not so late, not so sure how I would feel about Arin not trusting Garm, like in last season all the people in the werehouse didn't seem to have a problem with him or the SOG, and also I feel it would be so repetitive with Lloyd's arc

i mean the ninja are completely justified in their contempt towards him. only character that doesnt make sense for is lloyd - and even then the only reason for that is because his treatment of harumi is at odds with his treatment of garm

Ayyyy, I’m so happy that Crusty is making videos like this again. Anyway I don’t really want Garmadon back, at least not in season 2. The aesthetic of Dragons Rising is the ninja (especially Lloyd) getting to be masters/ the older characters of the show, and I feel like Garmadon or Wu coming back this soon isn’t the best idea.

Hello, I knew a youtuber anyways that used your tweet aka Arrow, anyways it would make more sense to have PIXAL first back.
But honestly in my opinion I’m fine with Garmadon being back because till now in my opinion I don’t think he had bad characterization ever even the movie he was good, and yes that includes the Ninjago rise of Skywalker equivalent that you ignore as much as schaffrillas.
If that season somehow makes him have bad characterization then it did the impossible for me, also weird you don’t like no way home but whatever it tried harder then whatever crystalized was

I think I want wu back the same way garmadon is ressurected but opposite and actually becoming a villain and discover his true potential. Dragon only(with a human form) like garmadon(can go on Oni form)
We’ve seen garmadon’s true potential, but I want to see wu’s true potential too given they both control the opposit powers of each other.

Well I want both wu and Garmadon dead well I mean like them but they need to die so that the ninjas take in the roles as Masters to train the new generation of ninjas so how I would have think if they both die is that they give in their entire power in order to maintain balance and stability to Ninjago but it will only drain their life force but they know what they have to do in order to make sure the merge is sustainable so that it wouldn't destroy the landscape of Ninjago so that things go smoothly so now I really do not like how they write the stories like bringing back old characters (harumi for example) so that they'll get their old fans back but no it's just completely recycle old characters just so that they could continue with that story because I want them to be more logical and realistic for example the merge would cause devastating effects to Ninjago the only way to sustain itself to prevent more countless devastation is that both the sons of the first Spinjitzu master used their entire life essence so that Ninjago wouldn't be in chaos also they could add that the merge could be an uncontrollable entity that woken up in a thousand years of sleep and eventually causing the entire realm to merge but in a chaotic way and that is the reason both Garmadon and wu sacrifice themselves to save Ninjago but now it's disappointed that they never written that and could have make their death's meaningful and giving us a lot of Clues on what they say and they could have added Spirits of them in order to guide Lloyd and this is how you get great writing in Ninjago but overall if y'all still believe at Garmadon should return I respect all of your opinions but just to let you know that all of this is just my opinion
