Feel like calling the intro song "cringe" isn't a very good critique, at the very least people should try to articulate what about "We Rise" comes across as cringe inducing to them.
I wouldn't say it's cringe. I would say it's just kinda awkward because it's so short and it cut out a bunch of the lyrics. Also, it sounds like it uses a bit of autotune or her voice cracks a little bit.

The "yuh" is really weird and "We're so cool" attitude it conveys.

I think it wouldve also been neat to add the characters like kai nya zane and wyldfire as they slowly appear in the show overtime to the intro because it def looks like part 2 is gonna be much more than just Lloyd Sora and Arin but tbh I think the intro is pretty good for what it is.
All I hate about this intro are the vocals. I really hope they don't use autotune in season 2. It sounds obnoxious and annoying
I think only kai and nya. The other ones are kinda spoilers

Fun fact: in Germany Dragons rising dub has a previously on Ninjago (was bisher geschah)
My biggest problem is how short the intro is. It is why the song had to be edited so awkwardly and why it feels like it kinda „interrupts“ the plot of the episode.
the only thing for me is that it sometimes shows up at awkward times. in one of the episodes it popped up in the middle of the scene where the bounty was crashing and it caught me so off guard
Yeah, but the second episode they used it well. When they were fighting on the train, that was awesome, especially since it was the first time they used it.
I think it would be awesome if they keep updateing this intro as they did with the season 1 intro.
Where they keep adding charachters and put the new suits in it as they go on.
I just kinda wish it would show the characters names like the earlier seasons did
Overall definitely an improvement visuals wise compared to the 11 minute episodes
I'm glad that someone is finally giving an honest critique about the song and not just shiting on it just because "iTs nOt tHe wEeKeNd wHiP"
I love "we rise" as a song, but the intro suffers from cutting it down too much. After listening to the whole thing it feels really jarring to hear chunks of the song missing. I get that it couldn't all fit, but it's still a pet peeve I have. Other than that the intro is solid and a welcome change after years of slideshow clips.

The Dragons rising into is really great I do hope for season 2 they do the Adventure time thing you said just quickly passing realms maybe realms that that season will be focusing on but other than that it’s great intro 9/10
I think it's a solid intro. Only problem I have is where in the episodes they paste it. Like 9/10 times it just comes out of no where. I'd rather see the 'previously on ninjago' then intro and then episode again. Now you get like 2 minutes of the episode and then when you least expect it, the intro pops up.

I think a combination between the 3D modeled logos & your suggestion of making the subtitle smaller would be perfect. Visually upgraded and compact logo.
I just wish the vocals were not so akwardly put together in the actual intro lol
my only critique i have of the intro is that i wish it played the whole chorus rather than cutting out half of it to shorten it down? it just feels too quick, and i know some people dont like longer intros but i like the charm of actually singing along to the intro before the next section of the episode starts
The only problems with the intro is that it's so short and is placed in very unfitting spots during the episodes and it also focused on the wrong idea (the merge).

I have mixed feelings about the theme song. Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a good song, but of course I think the Weekend Whip is so much better. The full theme song is really good, but in the show I don’t like how it just randomly cuts to the intro. A lot of shows do that, but Ninjago did it kinda poorly. The intro is also way too short in the show. For 22 minute episodes you would think they would have a longer intro, but I guess that’s not the case. Even the intros in the 11 minute episodes were longer which is crazy. I just hope they make remixes of the song for every season just like they did for the weekend whips
They should bring back the old 2010's rock music

@Crusty783 I hope the intro of dragon rising part 2 Lloyd Sora Arin Kai and wyldfyre makes sense kai Lloyd and arin will play bigger role in part 2
@@jobbieryan6662feel like that could run the risk of being too cluttered, i think keeping the core 3 characters would be the best move for the intro

Never expected you to love it too so i'm glad i'm sharing that sentiment with you. It seems as if a lot of fans hate it so much just because it isn't the weekend whip but that doesn't mean its bad(I love the weekend whip)
"new = bad" has been a sentiment among ninjago fans for years unfortunately
true that. I never call something bad without watching it. It might end up being very good. that's the case for every media in general for me. as for others, when something is new anyone will call it bad. it's definitly frustrating to me.

I'm glad that you're not like the other LEGO Ninjago UA-camrs who just love everything about the show because of nostalgia. You actually find problems and make videos about them. You're awesome! I have a prediction, that in the finale ninja go in to a mergequake, and in there the place looks like the intro. The final episode starts with bit of dialog, and then an action scene, but wait, the action scene is exatly the intro, with the theme song in the background and all, but now with context

Sadly for me the new intro is kinda bad. Im completly fine with the new song and even like it but the Intro just fails in terms of length and presentation in almost every way
i think the length is fine. around 18 seconds is ideal intro length for me

Ik i'm late but have you noticed at the end of the intro there is this 1 fire dragon that appears in part 1 of the season but has absolutely no significance whatsoever?

Anyways wow two things you liked about crystalized, the whip and Garmadon that keeps it from being a 1/10.
Anyways the full crystalized whip is disappointing and that I actually like the full intro for dragons rising much better, but yeah like many it’s probably too short.
Also you kind of got your wish with the lego box art sets taking your suggestion of the subtitle being under Ninjago.

I think finding the song to be cringe is a bad argument. If you think the lyrics are cringe in this one, but not in the weekend whip, clearly you didn't listen to either of them.

Tbh, I’m as salty as the “impossible path” that they didn’t keep the weekend whip. Im usually the first person to be on board with Ninjago’s changes (“anime” episodes, Wildbrain taking over, redesigns, you name it), but this…this is just a no.

New show, same canon. The overarching story of the golden weapons and the overlord and balance ended in Crystalized.

Its been a year now, theres gotta come a point where it is what it is. I still am not keen on Crystalized but most of its faults have seemingly been addressed or fixed now by DR so harping in on them seems a tad pointless now. Im also kinda at a point where I wanna just, enjoy Ninjago. Theres good stuff in Crystalized too even if theres an overwhelming amount of horrendous stuff

We Rise is not the franchise theme just like the Weekend Whip. The Weekend Whip only was the Dragon Form theme in Crystalized. The main theme is the "Rising" melody wich plays when Arin talks about how he was effected by the merge in EP1 wich reapears many times in combination with the original main theme
The intro being so short is a huge negative compared to S1-7. Really really hope that can improve. But still, it is better than 11-15

@@Crusty783 I'm not exactly sure how to answer "why" I think it sucks. As a long time Ninjago fan, I personally loved the Weekend Whips as the intro. We Rise makes sense for the season, but I just don't like the song. My biggest problem with it is that is little too short compared to the Weekend Whips. I don't know how to explain this, but I personally think it sounds a bit cringy. But if other people like it, then that's fine. My personal feelings about it are that I just don't really like it, and it sounds a little cringy to me.

Like i would actually maybe listen to we rise if it came on shuffle, but the weekend whip, hell no. and the visuals for the intro is gorgeous. and plus the season 11-crystalmeth intros were very bad and boring. So ya man, new chapter new song new style new shrooooms, i like it.
The Weekend Whip is a great song, and is a regular on my listening history. We Rise is an average pop song, imo. It's down to musical taste, and I have a lot more time for rock than pop.
