I started cutting up old clothing when I was a teenager. I taught myself and figured out (by making mistakes) all the tricks on how to easily alter clothes. I used to use a machine, but now I do hand sewing and lots of things with just scissors.
T-shirts are my favourite because they are easy to cut up and don’t fray when they are cut. This means you can make all sorts of designs by just cutting them, and don't have to worry about sewing hems or finishing seams. Just cut and go!
Most tutorials take less than five minutes and you can learn how to experiment with your own ideas and designs. I just give you the basic techniques.
Watch the Cinderella Sew video tutorials and learn easy ways to recycle, change, and restyle your clothing. Fashion changes, styles come and go, and it is always fun to remix what you are wearing.
You will end up with clothing that you feel good wearing because you made it look exactly how you want it to. Yeoh!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate your comments and your support. Peace and love from Cinderella Sew! - Навчання та стиль
This tutorial is awesome!! I would recommend flipping the clothing inside out so the thread is less visible. the tighter you pull, the less thread you can see. Just saved my fav jeans yayyy
I was thinking the same thing. I was always taught to flip inside out to hide the seam so I was surprised to see her sewing right side out.
Unfortunately this technique consumes about 1 inch of your fabric and unless the jeans were very loose, they will now be too tight, not to mention, in the example given where tear is only on 1 side, that side is 1 inch smaller than the other side. Better option if you don't have a sewing machine would be iron on patches applied on inside, which won't make your jeans 1 inch smaller.
I have the same problem, I'm thinking about just sewing on a pice of jeans on the backside to add fabric but idk how that'll look
@@mistermalik2108 I ended up doing exactly that... Unless you find the exact same fabric (colour and grid) it shows, but it does not bother me much. Just be careful on the borders to prevent chaffing!
Guy living on his own, working your classic office work here. I was sat here looking over triple jeans I wear for work with the 4th being in the wash. Barely ever held a needle and thread in my life. Definitely no masterwork, but did good enough job to save myself from a potential "reveal". I can see myself coming back to this little tutorial in the future.
Yay I love it! Way to repair the tears
hahaha, I come back here every time I need to sew my pants. This probably my third visit back in the last 6 months. Thanks again!

awesome! I'm a mechanic and my work jeans are always tearing! This is a huge money saver haha
Hey! Should I turn these inside out when sewing ? , also when stitching back to the beginning can I stitch over the previous line of stitches ? :)))
YES to both! do turn inside out and do go over the same stitches a few times, the more the stronger it will be!
I've watched a few but Cinderella sew is IT! Well taught easy to emulate even for me, a manly Man.
