There is more to the song than the drinking part. It could be about everyday stress, sexual norms, expectations from our closest and society, even the world political situation at the moment. And the way we get worn out under these circumstances, and there is the way of drinking. That is "me" (the storyteller) of the song who wants to dance and forget about the everyday sorrows and fears. He loosens up by sipping pina coladas, until there are no boundaries restricting him, and his will to dance. So eventually, there is a two-fold story which you can interpret either way: either he wants to drink (which he does to be able to dance) or he just wants to dance (but there are psychological and social restrictions, maybe self criticism or fear that he will be laughed at that does not allow him to dance). When the dance floor opens, the heck with what the other people think, it is your dance floor and it is your dance, it is your will to be free and open to the world. So, when he "passes out", you could tell, that it is not from drinking, but actually dancing your head off.

As a Finnish woman song this is exactly that, more of pandemic+war that continues to be painful every day, this song really translated as encourament and happiness for our European continent.

Tough guys like the story teller are definitely laughed at if they try to go to dance floor sober. Dance theme might be unrelated or might be not, but our prime minister Sanna Marin was also criticized for having few drinks & dancing in a way yellow press went totally nuts. Even Hillary Clinton tweeted Marin "Keep dancing Sanna Marin!" with a photo where Hillary herself was partying. Also Ukrainian president Zelenskiy has won "Dances with Stars" before running president and have been criticized for dancing with heels in some comedy show etc "not suitable for president". And ofc, publicly dancing girls in Iran were arrested so dancing is definitely a big thing depending on social and cultural context.
Anyway, you could see the song as a party/drinking song as well without any deeper meaning. It could also be the story teller is emphasizing the fact he is being unapologetic of not giving a fuck about what's going on in the world and the only thing he cares about is getting drunk, going dancing & having fun.
Quite unsurprisingly though I've seen a lot of Ukrainians liking this song, it offers great way of escapism (to anyone), among other things.
Other than lyrics, what about the song style, the industrial metal / eurodance / k-pop / self-irony towards the Finnish metal bands (ok, perhaps Rammstein too)? Since the story teller definitely wasn't great dancer (despite his willing to dance) and even though the song name suggests some great dance show I guess the whole show with minimal set with those cheap EUR-pallets and caveman coreography was irony towards all the big acts. Could be a bit trolling. Which is funny since usually the troll songs are done because the country wants to lose on purpose. If that was the case, Finland is failing miserably.

If this lovely Finnish song can arouse such a great reaction in Malta, the opposite side of Europe from Finland, and despite the language barrier, I'm confident the rest of Europe will get it too!! :)
The first part is industrial techno rap metal and the second half is Finnish clubbing europop.
How he managed to fuse the elements together so well is beyond me 🤩 but it sticks like super glue and hits through like an asphalt drill 😄

when the video game / kids tv show part came on, the character got drunk enough to dance on the dance floor and for a small while be the life of the party which he normally isn't.
