As a Finn, I'd say this was a victory for Käärijä anyway. The song is one of the global hits this summer. That's more than many Finnish musicians have achieved.
I only remember that her song was SO basic, so boring and absolutely standartic houling. Nothing special at all. Even not the 2nd place. 1st place: Kaarija 2nd: Israel 3d: maybe Loreen, but really not sure bout this too.
It was by far the outright winner. The jury are just out of touch. And May I say I am 69 and this song is just brilliant as it is everything you want. It is highly entertaining because it gets to you, you can join in both singing and dancing, it is high loaded with energy, it has the right ingredients for a good song, the choreography is awesome, the support dancers are awesome, the colour contrast of the clothing is outrageously perfect. It immediately grabs you and you want more and more.

As a Swede he really should have won. I quite like Loreens song but this one just is so different and fun. The jury voted for Loreen as they like her and she has the more conventional good song, hence why Finland didn't as Käärijä is mostly totally unknown before this (outside of Finland) and this song is unconventional. The jury/public vote need to change so the public has more power to something like 30% for the jury and 70 for the public.
Every year there is a discussion wether we should have jury votes or not. Having jury does have its pro and cons...BUT difference this year is that "entire" Europe is pissed. Loreen is good, but this was just fantastic. Sorry Loreen/Sweden. Finland was the real winner.

Sweden wasn't top pick for even one country while 17 countries voted Finland as top pick. This is the worst case scenario towards Eurovision where jury almost actively fought against the people watching and paying for this.
I remember the mess when ESC had only televoting, I don't think EBU ever will go back to that again. But the public did have all the power in the semis this year after the jury mess that was last year. When mess occur EBU change thier rules.

Everything definitely has a purpose and everyone can see how he has captured the hearts of the people through Spotify, mowing down the charts. We have plenty of Loreens, but only one Käärijä
