God of War Ragnarök At the end of the three-year Fimbulwinter, Kratos, Atreus, and Mímir are confronted by Odin and the God of Thunder Thor. After dueling Thor, Kratos, Atreus, and Mímir set out on a journey across the nine realms in hopes of finding a way to prevent Ragnarök. Along the way, they are confronted by a vengeful Freya, but they eventually make amends. Unable to prevent Ragnarök, Kratos, Atreus, and their allies unite the realms in a war against Asgard. Kratos battles Thor once again, but Thor is killed by Odin for refusing to kill Kratos. Kratos, Atreus, Mímir, and Freya then engage Odin in battle and defeat the Allfather as Asgard is destroyed. Returning home to Midgard, Atreus, as Loki, decides that he needs to go and find any remaining Giants and bids a heartfelt farewell while Kratos learns that he is destined to become a revered god and along with Freya and Mímir, begins rebuilding the realms and restore peace. - Ігри

@@sariousboy it's the chronological order of events in Kratos' story. The games were published in parts to expand on the story during and after the conclusion of the original trilogy

I've been playing God of War since the PS2 era in 2005 and I just love Kratos. He has undergone an extreme development from then to now, both as a man and as a god. I hope there will be many more games with Kratos as the main character.

Kratos started as a broken man fueled only by his rage, but he grew into so much more and became someone truly worthy of the tital god
it is my personal belief Kratos will surpass Mario for most renowned video game character, at least to our generation. His development is insane, and it all happened when we were young kids to young adults. Just like mario for our parents

I get mario is the og, but at what point do we as gamers let go of a plumber jumping on turts for a more cinematic relateable experience. I get what u saying but my 10 year old boy and my nephews all got Mario games right now , Mario, a whole cat nowadays and throwing his hat on the enemies to take control of their body .

You're kidding yourself. As awesome as Kratos is, to most people his persona is as familiar as the nameless protagonists of Dark Souls games. As far as "renown" goes, comparing Mario to Kratos is like comparing Elvis to Miley Cyrus.

I wanna say great job putting at this together but Valhalla just came out a few days before you posted this and it wraps up his story really well and would make this video complete I hope you’ve played it because the story line focuses very heavily on his days in Greece and brings closure to his story bringing him full circle.

The first 6 games had a total time of 6h 45m, god of war 2018 and ragnarok had a total of almost 15h 30m between them 😂

O.K. , seriously tho, how many of us who grew up in fatherless households be feeling them heart strings a tugging during all those Father son scenes? I can't help getting choked realizing how many of those firsts I will never have with my father. Killing my first dragon, summoning my first primordial being, tearing down my first god kingdom realm....
Growing up fatherless is one of the worst things that can happen to a boy, same as, growing up without a mother is the worst thing that may happen to a girl. Men work better when grown up with masculinity, such as the same as Women doing better growing up with femininity. But a healthy-dose of both is what keeps a person to grow up healthy, mentally.

Just finished Ragnarok and as a fan of the whole GOW world, I have to say the game is truly a masterpiece. Narratively, emotionally, mechanically, it brings the story to a mature and heartbreaking conclusion. As a gamer and a dad, both 2018's GOW and Ragnarok hit me in the emotional solar plexus over and over again, making me reflect often on my parenting and what matters most in life. By the time the credits rolled, I was a mess. On the shelf right next to the Last of Us series as my favourite games of all time, hands down. Great job, Barlog and team, big love.

@@stevensv4864 Actually, i don't know. There is a 2018 game, that is a real masterpiece, literally the best game of the year, and one of the best in 10's. And it didn't need 10 hour of cutscenes for that. Honestly, during the first walkthrough i didn't really like Ragnarok. I mean, it is still good and all, but it is not as good as previous games. Just like Ascension. So, i think it is more bad, than good.
@@demano1094 i disagree entirely. gow ragnarok was the greatest game ive ever played. definitely not mechanically but story wise it pushed the barriers in every single way. if you watch this video or remember playing the game its not 10 hours of cutscenes, its 10 hours of dialogue. the majority of what you see in this video for 2018 and ragnarok is story while you are traveling from fight to fight or world to world, and i guarantee there is more than this video shows. the consistent compelling dialogue that built up the characters and the worldbuilding is what made the game so special to me. If you just want to play a game it provides a pretty fun experience. if you want to see how video games truly can be the greatest medium for storytelling then it shows you that to. GOW 2018 and Ragnarok make up my favorite story of all time next to Lord of the Rings and Avatar The Last Airbender. just perfection

I'm sorry it ended the way it did, but Terrance C Carson did an amazing job. Christopher Judge was just the next step in Kratos' evolution. Terrance would not have been able to deliver this older version in the right way.
