There's nothing like going wading for small mouth in mid Tn an too tired to use the river back to car an cut across the corn field an find a muthas load of arrows heads on a fresh plowed field or after a good rain . In my book that was a great day . I think I remember you and a girlfriend went to Lake Keystone one time above Tulsa . My Son and I used that lake for all kinds of adventures . Kind of like your day we sometimes looked for arrowheads and pieces of stuff along the shoreline and let our imaginations run wild . My mothers Dad was Irish and Cherokee and I would tell him about Grandpa McKay about his ranch his old Ford pickups ( he only had two his whole life ) his horses , cattle and his descent sized fishing pond . We would see scorpions , huge centipedes that were a good 6 inches or better . We'd camp in our little motor home that a little on the ugly side but we'd cook watch my little battery operated TV and plan for our next adventure . Do that as long as you can ... it will be fine memories . Your Dad is good guy....he's got that spirit of adventure that can turn your fossil find into TREASUSRE ! You two and Finly have a great time . PK

Ain't Skeered. Awesome that you and Dad do a lot of these trips to the beach, the rivers, etc, and are content to just dig for fossils and spend quality time together. Love those bonding moments. Both of my parents are gone, and I wish I had them back for a day to spend with them. Never let these moments pass you by.

Nice to take you dad fossil hunting. Its something i love doing. Its amazing how things were bigger once. Ive found oysters as big as your face in limestone boulders in open paddocks in NZ & heaps of ocean fossils at the top of 2.500m mountains in Switzerland & very earl sea fossils along the edge of the Baltic Sea in Norway. Your so lucky to find some close to home.

Cherish those days with your Dad, I have dbl indemnity happening, my Dads on the edge of this life and I’m fighting cancer. I went there with mine about 5 yrs ago and another couple places since together. Great vid and content, always changing up. Keep it goin Kelly, it will work out for you!

Kelly, if it wasn't you narrating this adventure with pop, I wouldn't be watching. You're both good company. On the boar's head ... I'll say he must have had a good dentist! That was some good looking rows of teeth. Placos are not pretty fish, prehistoric looking.
I see pop with a back rest I think. I always go out with a comfortable backrest in my 17' MichiCraft canoe. Lean back feet on the cross brace very comfortable, even when I was young.
On the heat, I always wet my hair clothes and hat to cool off but maybe that river is too hot for that, water's almost never too hot in rivers and lakes in New England.
Blue crab totally awesome, nice colors. Steak and Ceaser salad c'est magnifique!

I'm a Tarpon, (Charlotte high) lived on Riverside dr 8000 block for years, plan a trip up the peace river, wild wild area around Fort Ogden a little north, we camped on the river and saw baby alligators swimming in and out of those holes

I enjoy seeing the videos with your Mom and Dad and of course Finley. A lesser know resource on campsights is the COE campgrounds (Corp of Engineers). They are associated with a body of water which is right up your alley. There are some in the panhandle of Florida 😉
You need to get yourself one of those mini Traeger wood pellet grills. It would be perfect for that camper.
You are so lucky to still have your Dad in your life and be able to do things with him. I am 68 and lost my Dad at 15. Stoll miss him everyday. Love to you both ❤️

Pretty cool video kell that blue claw reminded me when I was younger fishing out on the marsh crab just came down stream right in front of me took my pole flipped it up on land and cought it kell it measured 13 inches point to point he has to be so old he was all orange except his claws liked he was cooked that one u cought was also the biggest I've seen thanks for sharing

I don't know if you heard about the two guys diving off Manasota key that found a mammoth tusk a few weeks back maybe Myakkahattchee creek would be a good spot for fossil hunting too the blue crab' I ran into one at Cape Haze while out on the boat this thing was a monster with barnacles covering it's shell that one caught my attention anyway Thank you for another great video 😎

I w🤔nder if a "Sand Flea Scooper/Catcher",
would be useful for this kind of fossil hunting, or if the holes in the sand grate sifter would be too big, & risk losing good finds that would slip down the hole grates?

I wanna try doing this up in the river thats less that a 1/4 of a mile from my backyard.
It's named the Olentangy River.
Its know to be part of the land of Native ( I don't recall the name of the Tribe at the moment, sorry)
For years, people hunt the river looking for authentic Arrowheads, with cool findings along the way🥰
I've wanted to wade it for the last 22 years, since the day we moved up here, and still haven't.

Hello from Martin County. OMG what a crab. Thought it was a softshell turtle until you caught it. You are braver than I am. Stone crab pinch years ago was enough to keep me away from crabs. Enjoy your trip w Dad, about my age.
I did something similar to this but, in the ocean with sargasso. The multitude of creatures in a boogie board size of grass is amazing.
