    When you are treating Plantar fascia always check and treat calf together with hamstring and Tuberosity. Plantar fascia it’s just a symptom of tightness in Superficial back line of fascia.

      @@diMne86 I agree, in fact I wouldn't jump to conclusions that a diagnosis implies a particular line is dysfunctional. I use an integrated approach to addressing movement compensations. I appreciate this video! I needed it to explain to my husband what my therapist is doing to and for me!
    I absolutely hurt like the devil the first session, like I couldn’t believe and I hollered a little…. But the very next morning it was amazingly better and I could walk without limping! Seriously!! The next therapy session it was not as painful, but still hurt. I go for my fourth session this afternoon and I seriously look forward to the pain because I know it is helping!

    Great video very informative! I struggled with this on and off for about 20 years. I had orthotics made, did all kinds of stretching had some wacky things suggested to me. Wish I could've tried this. Suddenly when I turn 40 it just went away and never came back. My foot doctor is baffled by it but I'm not complaining. It was very painful!

    This is one of the best IASTM videos for plantar fasciitis on youtube! Lots of nerve endings there, and this patient here seems rather numb to all these techniques. It would be instructive to see a video of how these same IASTM moves would affect a particularly sensitive or ticklish foot and how one would work through that, both the patient and the practitioner. I've always been of the school of thought that laughter is healthy and okay, so long as the patient is not in significant pain. Anyway, just a suggestion for a future video perhaps!

    • @BrookbushInstitute
      @BrookbushInstitute  5 років тому +4

      I think a lot of tickling can be mediated by quick (not hurried) intentional strokes. As long as there is a bit of force, you can usually progress through the technique farely well.

      Awful late to reply... I did this on myself with a wooden spatula, combined with PT exercises and other massage including calf. I got it professionally done and they didn't know what they were doing. They said they did, but they didn't, and my calfs looked like they had been beaten with a stick (www.ortho.wustl.edu/content/Education/3691/Patient-Education/Educational-Materials/Plantar-Fasciitis-Exercises.aspx ) If you go see someone, be sure they really really know what they are doing. The graston therapy can be a little painful, but it really shouldn't be very painful.

    Wow! Thanks for this very good info, and Demo! I wonder if the various, or "variations" in the calloused areas on the bottom of the feet, help to provide clues as to the types of "fascia", as well as muscle strength, and ankle/leg/hip related issues, going on, further up the line, internally?...

    • @brentbrookbush9505
      @brentbrookbush9505 3 роки тому +1

      Hey Guloguloguy,

    I was burned in July of 2018. I had the initial clean up surgery then skin grafts. Thia2 type of reflexology (graston) has been recomend because my ankle and toes feel jammed. A staple was left beside my Achilles tendon for 2 months and it got very angry so when the staple was removed they had to dig out dead tissue around and deep under the tendon then experimental skin replacement several times before it healed. I'm so afraid this will hurt so bad because my grafts are tender.

      I have painful cramps walking long distances or running. I have to walk on my he sides of my feet or sit down. Feet are very flat. No arches ankles curve in

      Normally the pain is in the arch. At least for me this was the case, I had to roll a spiked rubber ball under my foot to alleviate the pain.

    in the downtown market for a small fee a chiro practitioner without certification can do that, plus a general chiro check, then you can walk for some beers and greasy food.

    Well presented and informative. However, please, 99% of the video should be “close up”. Same goes for your other videos. From 1,8 miles away one really can’t see what the hell are you doing there exactly. Again, great content! 👍🏻 Would love to watch it without magnifying glass. 🧐

      Hi Kasper, if you skip ahead to the head of the video we actually do a close up recap. We do both far and close up versions so practitioners can see body placement as well

      Everything on this video is fairly clear and relates to the topic well. I don't know what you think you are referring to, but if you would like to give me an example from the video I can try to explain it to you Big Dawg...
