I pull out the tube and take off the tip the place them into a jar with everclear 190 proof alcohol. Swirl it around! Works perfectly. After that I add 🍒 cherry juice or root beer soda a couple of ice cubes and whla! I drink 🍸 it. Nothing waisted but ME. Not to bad for a 70 year old stoner like me.

Take it off the Seahorse, soak it in 90% isopropyl alcohol for four or more hours, dry it when you pull it, put it back on the charged device and burn it at max power a couple rounds. Sometimes the coil just needs replaced as well.
😂 I agree. I should’ve put a slight warning to it. If you’re gonna use this though, you definitely need some tools and tricks to make things quicker. Relatively, it is very quick compared to something like a rig.
The reality is you can just chuck all the parts into an iso bath for 10 minutes and then run it through heat cycles until it stops putting out vapor. Done.

Is it ok for the tip to turn black? I know someone who gets mad at me because "i take too long to take a hit, I'm burning the coil." To his knowledge, even though I'm letting it preheat. He thinks if the tip turns black I'm damaging coils. All the videos I watched, the tip is going to turn black anyway.
@@petermartin8588 the tip will absolutely get to turning black. Burning them extra burns the black off until the coil is too far used. It’s even a good idea to burn them extra after your session to clear the black

@ is the coil tip black? Old coils carry a harsh taste sometimes, also using a hot setting can give that taste. If the coil is old or the device isn’t putting out enough voltage, then the concentrate won’t get burnt fully and might come with that taste also

Liability would be the first thought, they don’t want to be liable for a method that might lessen the performance of your coil. Another is to get you to buy more coils faster. I think this isn’t a bad choice because of smoke quality, but it’s still great with an older coil too. I got lost reading and then doing life, or I would’ve responded yesterday, but I read they use crushed quartz. I’m not sure yet the correlation, but ISO didn’t work for them. I’m not sure their cleaning method or which coil tips the poster were referring to either. ISO worked for me, but if the coil is too old it just needs replaced

My method of cleaning is almost identical to yours. The 91% alcohol… twisting the paper towel and soaking it about half way… I didn’t think to use the spaghetti, but I had the stick form of incense at hand. I agree 100% that the brush provided is too short. I also had no knowledge that the longer version even existed, but the Dill’s pipe cleaners I got (from an ACE hardware store) work just as well and are disposable. They’re a little more flexible than the brush, but if it’s soaked it can be worked through the hole easy enough. I had no idea you could soak the tips in alcohol though, so I did learn that. 😁 Your video on basic instruction on how to use the device though, was extremely helpful. I’d always used the traditional nectar collector with a torch, so I had been pretty much going straight in with it and ultimately I was getting a lot of product up inside where the coils are. I got a lot of smoke! But after watching your video, I gave it a cleaning (it was coming due anyway) and tried the angled method and tapping with the ceramic and it’s been far cleaner and every bit as effective. I did always tap, but now I know to protect the opening from actually engaging the product. Thank you for all of that!

EDIT/UPDATE: Update: It was that the hole was clogged, and after dripping and wiping some rubbing alcohol on it, it softened up enough to allow me to get a thin pointy wooden skewer into it a little bit, and then I could get the pipe cleaner brush into it. MY ORIGINAL COMMENT: I am definitely missing something, because after I detach the coil, the hole in the coil end is way too small for a spaghetti noodle or the enclosed pipe cleaner brush to fit into. If that black tip was not on the end of the pipe cleaner brush, then MAYbe it would fit in the coil end of the Lookah, but that even seems a little doubtful. The brush DOES fit into the mouthpiece end of the the hole, but can't make it out the coil end. And I am getting ZERO airflow through the Lookah. What am I doing wrong??
@@tc3imagery you’re not putting the cleaner through the coil. You take the coil off and clean the hole that’s under it. The coil goes in an alcohol bath. Your air passage is what you can with the tool, after taking the glass and coil off. If I’m understanding wrong, let me know. Hope this helps🤘

The color of it doesn't matter. I never let mine get so dirty that 3 heat cycles on white won't clear all the smoke. You might also be dabbing bunk concentrate of some kind. BHO nastiness. You can also soak the V tips in alcohol just let it dry and run it through a few heat cycles after soak.
Have you ever just used a torch to clean the tip? I messed up one tip trying to clean it with the brush. I realized I moved the coils. So if anyone ever messed up a tip with a propane torch, let me know.

Once the device is towards the end of its life, or if it’s been dropped, this will happen on a regular basis because the voltage isn’t up to par to burn everything properly. This gold one was about halfway through its life in the video, and I got a new red one last week 🤘
I have tried that, and try to remember to still. I’ve seen some people’s devices look way clean and know it’s been used alot. I have different people hitting mine often, so it’s a little harder to regulate how it’s hit all the time. Also this was a longer buildup for video effect, before cleaning

Another way to loosen the tube is to heat it slightly. It’ll break up the bond holding it.

How much of the coil tip do you submerge in alcohol? I imagine everything above the metal base or is it just the quartz tip that you submerge?

If your tube looks like his, you need to clear your hits out and not dab it so hard.
I agree and have tried to let it burn longer. When I have a new coil it seems to be easy to clear it completely, then it tapers off fairly quick.

That’s good too! Toothpicks are perfect for this.

I have tried that, and try to remember to still.
I’ve seen some people’s devices look way clean and know it’s been used alot.
I have different people hitting mine often, so it’s a little harder to regulate how it’s hit all the time.
Also this was a longer buildup for video effect, before cleaning
@@Marleyttyl im at a gram a day and its still not thay gooey at 35 a gram it seems waste full.....something is going on for sure tell people to draw slower and easier maybe that will save product

I feel like any time I draw slower on it, it’ll puddle in the tip and cause issues soon anyways.

The reclaim doesn’t get wasted, as I like to make edibles sometimes. Reclaim from diamonds is wicked strong.
With this much effort I think I'd rather just buy a new one

Not all reclaim is like the Seahorse puts out, and it’s ready to go for edibles

There’s many variables to why one would get dirty so quick.
