The Circula and Heinrich stand out for me here. As always your giving us a nice history brief on each brand and showing us some great time pieces. Nice German pronunciation too! Great vid, cheers mate 👍
Thanks Rik. I think Fine Watches Berlin is my favourite on the list. My German pronunciation is better than my Japanese that's for sure. I've visited Germany 3 times so I have somewhat of an idea on how to say certain things. Although some of them still threw me off 🤣 Thanks for watching mate. Any suggestions on what country should feature next? 🤔
There's sooo many German Watch brands. I had around 40 on the shortlist for this video. I think I could make videos about them for the rest of the year 🤣
Hey! You are very welcome. Nomos is definitely more mainstream but I respect what they do with the in house calibres so I had to include them. Keep up the great work!
That's exactly what I try and do with these videos. Highlight the less popular brands that offer some great affordable watches. Yes not as affordable as the likes of Seiko and Orient but, offering original designs with great specifications from brands with a great story. Thank you for watching Jerry and I hope you enjoyed the video
So sad about the Circula ProTrail not having a date complication. The yellow version would be on my wrist if it did, despite affecting the anti-magnetism.
I actually met the owner of Circula yesterday, he's a really nice guy! He had a selection of watches with him, they look even better in person than on pictures. A seed has been planted in the back of my mind...
Well the whole point of the video is watch brands you should know, so if you already know them, and everybody else too, doesn't that defeat the purpose?
@@TopTierTicker gotcha. I appreciate it. Perhaps you could have named it “10 lesser known German brands you should know.” If that was your intent. It was definitely a good video. I appreciate your content.
Meister Singer is underrated and misunderstood because a lot of people view the single arm dial as a gimmick despite it being an old and legitimate way of telling time.
As a German whos father was a watchmaker for more than 40 years, I thought I knew the geeman watch industry quite well. Where are A. LANGE, GLASHÜTTE ORIGINAL, MÜHLE, UNION, JUNGHANS, SINN, HANHART??? Most of the brands you presented are totally unknown in Germany and only tiny microbrands with neither real producing capacities nor any history. Onky ones brands on your list that really counts were NOMOS, MEISTERSINGER and LACO.
That's the point of these videos, to shine light on the lesser known brands. Talking about the big popular brands is boring, people already know about them.

That's just not true is it. Yes, a couple of brands on the list have expensive models. However the majority of them have models costing much less than $1000. I can't magically pull out a load of German Watch brands creating watches for the prices of Seiko and Orient. They just don't exist. From my research and knowledge, these are some of the best 'affordable' watches you can pick up from Germany.
@@TopTierTicker Yeah that's fair enough, unfortunately sub 300$ German watches are really hard to come by, so far I've owned almost exclusively Japanese watches and am looking to buy either a Swiss or German one but especially the German offerings under 200-300 are non-existent, oh well

@@TopTierTicker 🤣👍 How about some American brands?
There are around 10 more German watch brands just waiting to appear in the 'Part Two' video. 😉

@@TopTierTicker Then go for it! It is an interesting topic. Watches country by country. 👍
Thank you for the shout out. I think this is a very nice list of the ones that are less known. Except Nomos maybe already arrived in the mainstream.
Hey! You are very welcome.
Nomos is definitely more mainstream but I respect what they do with the in house calibres so I had to include them.

thanks a lot for this compilation 🙏 And very happy to see Heinrich in there ❤
I'm just seeing watch #7 and I'm already liking this video. So well done !
I really love how when I watch your videos and I see something I like, I can probably afford it after saving for a bit.

@@TopTierTicker I truly do. Thank you for thinking of us little guys out there!
The quality of finish on the Nomos movements is stunning! 100% on my 'to be bought' list!
Love these lists! Keep ‘em coming!
I absolutely LOVE German watches By the way. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you like them! I have a good one coming soon!
Some really nice watches from German brands that I am not aware of. Thanks for posting this video it has wonderful content.
Great video. I needed to know more German watches.
Thank you buddy! I tried to include as many unknown yet affordable brands as possible!
@@TopTierTicker I really like the Heinrich watch DNA it's pretty cool bringing back the vintage style of dive watches from the 70s
Great video. I think you needed to include Hanhart into the list a German brand with a great history.
Hanhart are a very good shout. Fantastic watch brand!
@@TopTierTicker And why no Junghans ?
I may be wrong, but I feel like a lot of people do not know about Kudoke , for me their K2 model is one of the prettiest watches out there
I don't personally know them but I'll have a look into them now. Thanks for watching!
So sad about the Circula ProTrail not having a date complication. The yellow version would be on my wrist if it did, despite affecting the anti-magnetism.
I did miss Mühle Glasshütte. This watchmaker has a long tradition and makes nice, good watches.
I missed Junghans. The Max Bill is a classic.
I actually met the owner of Circula yesterday, he's a really nice guy! He had a selection of watches with him, they look even better in person than on pictures. A seed has been planted in the back of my mind...
Sinn, Dornblüth & Sohn, Junghans, A. Lange & Söhne
Stowa, Glashutte and Sinn
All great, all of them very popular. These videos are about highlighting the smaller brands who need more attention. Thanks for watching.
Junghans
Lilienthal Berlin has some very nice Bauhaus designs at reasonable prices.
Great video, maybe do a similiar one for Scandinavian countries?
Slowly making my way around the globe with these, if a country has 10 brands, I will eventually make a video about them :)
Steinhart , Vandaag, Marc & Sons
Is Obris Morgan any good brand?
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
A. Lange und Söhns?
How come there no company of these German watches in 🇳🇬 in Nigeria ?.
Laco was my first automatic watch and is still one of my most complemented watches .... the casioak gets more attention Laco second
Missing the following: A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original, Stowa, Montblanc, & Aristo
Well the whole point of the video is watch brands you should know, so if you already know them, and everybody else too, doesn't that defeat the purpose?
And Junghans
I love the German pronunciation
Hey mate, can you do a video with racing chronograph watches?
I'll get round to it at some point soon yes mate 👍
@@TopTierTicker thanks for answering God bless you!
Sinn, junghans, a lange and Sohne?
Very popular. I'm trying to highlight lesser known brands. 'watch brands you should know' doesn't work if its all watch brands you already know.

Can you please update the description with the price of each of watch
This video isn't about 1 particular watch. It's about brands. Feel free to do your own research on the brands that you like the look of.
Add "D. Dornblüth & Sohn" to your list....

FWB is probably not the best acronym for a brand, just saying.
Ther is almost no learning curve to reading a 1-handed watch. And they'll lower your blood pressure.
No Junghans ???
Mühle and Hanhart??
Wow no zeppelin/iron annie?
Anything here for a 100 Euros.
Excellent research.
Cheers Billy, these watch brand videos take hours of research! Glad you could tell :)
WTF? No Steinhart ? !!!!
Seems he focus is on microbrands. 😞
Germans definitely has a taste, their cars and watches is a proof

Junghans ? 😀
Great brand, great watches. However it's already very popular. I try to feature as many less popular brands as possible.
circula is pretty tacky
That was just one particular model. Take a look at the rest of their catalogue. They have some cool watches
"Keep it affordable" while the watches are 1200 euros a pop, Jesus
