Warning
Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is a corrosive and toxic acid that can cause serious burns and even death. Poisoning can occur readily through exposure of skin or eyes, or when inhaled or swallowed. Symptoms of exposure to hydrofluoric acid may not be immediately evident, and this can provide false reassurance to victims, causing them to delay medical treatment.Despite having an irritating odour, HF may reach dangerous levels without an obvious odour r. HF interferes with nerve function, meaning that burns may not initially be painful. Accidental exposures can go unnoticed, delaying treatment and increasing the extent and seriousness of the injury. Symptoms of HF exposure include irritation of the eyes, skin, nose, and throat, eye and skin burns, rhinitis, bronchitis, pulmonary edema and bone damage

I have always loved the fact that "Aussie Chemist" has a strong 'non-Australian' accent. Somehow a very Australian thing. Keep up the good work mate.
It should be Chinese chemist in Aussie-land
@@joes1704 seems Hungarian
@@joes1704 lol real
Australia is a very multicultural place
perfect Australian accent
Scary acid but I am glad you are wearing all the PPE necessary to work with HF.
I'm not sure if the gloves are thick enough, but I guess he knows what he's doing. Professor Hope from England is a fluorine specialist who's appeared on UA-cam, and man, you should see what he wears! Those are serious gloves.
Nicely done. Thanks for this. Not sure I am game to play with HF. Well, I really don;t have a reason to.
ngl that timelapse is on point, gj
That time lapse is great.
2:56 danger snow!
Nice vid btw
Awesome video
Also can you make a video of diluting HF process
Very nice experiment 👌👍
Oh you have HF? Make every fluoro acid (HBF4, H2SiF6, HPF6, HAsF6, HSbF6 etc) then
Is there any acid more powerful than flouroantimonic acid
Thank you very much for your lovely sharing blessings, love and hugs and like 100
Amazing and scary at the same time
been waiting too long for the hf to be busted out
hfl acid storage container?
Just a heads up: the link to your Patreon in the description doesn't seem to work.
thx for the heads up all fixed
The nick in your blue glove gave me some anxiety
what nick 😳

@@kirkc9643 looks like a fold but could be a glass cut which he got after he cleaned the bottle
@@maxthexpfarmer3957 on a 120" screen it definitely looks like a cut
which metal container is used to store hfl acid?
eg lead. stainless steel
Usually it’s stored in PTFE bottles but at large scales like HF storage for refineries passivated stainless steel is used. Chemical suppliers typically ship these kind of chemicals to labs and hobbyists in little steel cans that contain a sealed plastic bottle (usually PTFE if it’s particularly nasty like HF) which actually holds the chemical.
Great sharing my friend much love and like 99
What about the product compound solubility in water🤦♂️
So what kind of a.solution do you end up with once the glass is dissolved?
Probably a jell like substance consisting off all the compounds thats in glass
Hydro chloric ❌
Hydrofluoric 💯
Nice video my dear and keep it up like 98
as a glass etching useful chemical
HF scary
How ya going, haven’t uploaded in 2 months, hope you come back soon
Also can I have Ur email
We use this to add to paint stripper
What the fuk?

口音真的太像了,一开始都没听出来是国人
另外视频很棒!
your hfl strength is too weak thats why it took so much time
